OK, this is fun! Here are the kids in the Golden Mickey's last year. John's DD is holding Snow White's hand, my DS is behind her in the red shirt, and my DD is two kids back in the brown hat & denim skort.

Funny Lisa, I forgot all about that with Sophia's hat falling off!

BTW - the Browns are stinking up the joint - Raiders just scored again, and I am feeling ashamed that I am from NE Ohio.

Thank goodness for the Buckeyes!

You realize all of the parents of the 6 year old girls are going to need to post in the 1999 and 2000 pages. See that another crazy trend you all have started!!

I was just thinking today if these girls all hit it off, we could have a really nice time on this cruise. Maybe they will all want to spend time together in the evenings, and we all can party like it's 1999 - errr 2000!

I love well written books. Orson Scott Card is certainly a writer I appreciate. I have not read enders game, but I am ordering it now from amazon.... Asmiov Love, Bradbury love but can get a little odd. I have not read clarke or heinlen, I will look into that. I read Lord of the Rings as a kid, loved it, but have not read anything like that in a long time.

The Ender's Game series is very good. I read it several years ago.

I also missed my year but fortunately that was the last page I recalled when I shut down last night so that was pretty cool. Next it will be the year you were married, the year your spouse was born, the month and date of some significant event and so on and so on. It will never end.

Darn, this one was on the page of the year I graduated HS - missed it!

Oh, we are pathetic! DISing where ever we are! Now sneaking a quick DIS in the parking lot! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Heinlein and Asimov are two of my favorites! The Foundation series is one the best works of scifi. My favorite series is the Dune works.

YES Brack, Frank Herbert and the Dune series - another favorite, but difficult to get into, once you do, impossible to put down.

Caroline - you missed it, I spelled Heinlein wrong!

Wow Angie! That is quite a story!!! Can you give me the plot lines of her books? I may have read one, I love medical mysterys!
They are sort of a series with a female risk manager of a large Denver hospital, Vicki Lucci, being the main character. The first Bad Blood is 4 people hve been given tainted blood. Vickie helps solve and of course has her life in danger at times.

Bad medicine is a hostage situation in the maternity ward and of course Vicki is in the thick of it.

Bad Luck is a series of events that seem bad luck then turn out to be a murder in the hospital.

Declared Dead is someone who was declared dead shows up in Vicki's office and we go from there.

They are easy read books. I would say summer reading and for those of us in the medical field especially fun.

Angie, that is such a touching story. What a shame Dennis didn't know about her until so recently, but a happy ending ensued! I am sure that Dennis is as lucky to have his "new" sister as she is to have a wonderful brother. :grouphug:
Dennis has a brother 9 years younger and a sister 10 years younger. They have all been able to spend time together twice in this short time and have all really bonded. Youngest sister lives in So. Cal and brother lives near us. In 2003 Dennis and I went to Denver 2 months after we found her and then flew her out here 3 months later to surprise the brother for his 50th birthday. The CA sister came up too so that was their first meeting. Then summer of 2005 everyone, including the kids and grandkids met at CA sister's and all spent time at DL together. It is quite funny to watch new sister and her family with us since neither she or her husband had any siblings, therefore after their parents died no family except each other. Now they have a HUGE family and we can be, um, shall I say a bit overwhelming.

We just got the PC Brand in our stores. It is an upscale private label brand. I can't remember who distributes it, but it is available to independent grocers as a quality non-brand grocery.

John1
Ok, I do like their products.

Now THAT is a neat story!

How many more stories like that do you have Angie?

John1
Not many like that! It really was amazing, first that not one family member from his mom's generation ever mentioned it. Different times. Then that the aunt finally "told us", without "telling us". Then that we were able to connect so easily since her mom had given her so much info. She had posted on Ancestry.com with both of her birth parents names and so did Dennis' younger brother, then she found the match.

is anyone thinking of doing playa mia beach on coz by themselves. the disney excursion is booked full and my kids really wanted to do this.
