It was a beautiful day here in Carolina... How was it for everyone else today?

MMMMM. The roast in the crockpot is beginning to smell good. I did not put anything in with it. I think I will make mashed potatoes this time. And gravy. Yum! Wish DF would call so we could get the grapes picked up so I can start on dinner. He said "about 5". :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

We are having unseasonably warm wonderful weather here for the past 10 days. Clouds and lower temps are supposed to be back on Sunday, but little if any rain. I hope to get out and spray some weeds and blackberry bushes tomorrow while it is warm and not raining. Darn things get out of hand if we don't spray spring and fall. :sad2:

(if you think i'm nuts you should see the favors i did for my sister's baby shower; i bought 50 flower pots and saucers; spray painted them white; glued ribbon to the top rim, added dots on this sides to match the ribbon, did an attached card with poem, filled with blue shreaded paper and baby's breath seed packet. They were really cute.)

Very creative idea....I am going to have to put this in my file...too bad my brother just had the baby, that would have been perfect :thumbsup2[/QUOTE]

the poem for the card is:

A baby is a precious gift
Given from above
A life for us to cherish
To nuture and to love

So please plant these little seeds
And watch the grow and bloom
Just like Baby (insert Baby's last Name)
Who'll be arriving soon!

(Insert Baby's name)'s "bloom" date:
(insert due date)

i scanned a piece of the ribbon i had and inserted it in vertical lines next to the poem. (our ribbon was teddy bears with assrtd pastel clothes and dots)

If you have your ressies linked with ours then I think there are many more than 10 in your group to help entertain him! I feel like we are all family here. :grouphug:

We are getting 40 lbs of Pinot grapes tonight from a friend who drives a Limo on winery tours. He made friends with some of the local vinters. :thumbsup2 Then Sunday DD is going to pick up some green grapes of some type for us also. We will be in the winemaking business again this weekend! :woohoo: We did not make any last year, but year before last's batch is tasting pretty good! :dance3: We plan to bring a bottle or three of the batch made 2 years ago for the wine tasting on the ship. MMMMM....

Oh Angie - sounds yummy! I just love when people sample the wine they made!!

SO does anyone have kids in band?? We are just getting started and I am wondering how deep it gets.... My DS is wanting to play the Tenor Sax and there are tryouts and only one kid gets tenor and 5 get alto and that is all for the entire class! He REALLY wants it and I told him to practice practice practice....

5+-9+6--5+-8--10

Can be also be:

5+(-9)+6-(-5)+(-8)-(-10) or

(5-9)+(6-(-5))+(-8)+10 or

5-9+[(1/2)0]+(1)(6)+5-5+5+(-1)(8)-(-10)

Do I need to go on or have I sufficiently scared enough of you already? :rotfl:

Becka,
Where we you when I failed calculus, see, I can't spell it either it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yes, and I wish you would make them STOP!! with the math. Relationships, I build relationships both at work and at home. That is my job and there is NO math required.

I tore up an entire legal pad at work yesterday I got so frustrated with one of my co-workers.

See - that's acceptable...my little teary eyed episode just shouldn't have come out. But after working the 12-14 hour days I've been workign for the past 2 week...it was a combination of exhaustion and emotion...anger being the primary emotion.

Our DGS is in band. He is a junior in HS and has been in band since 7th grade. He LOVES it. There is not that kind of competition here in the early years though. He plays flute - gets to sit by all the cute flute girls! :lmao: You are right though....practice, practice, practice.

BTW Becka... Your scaring me :scared1: with all that math....

I pretty much tell all my DD's math teachers that DH will be the one doing any help with homework since i only had to take up to Trig in college for my degree (way back in '91) and promptly never had to use it again.

Which is why i'm not an engineer......

hmm..I am so glad it is Friday. I wonder if the moon is full or soemthing b/c this has been one heck of a week.

I'm gonna go pour a glass of wine and hop in the hot tub for a while.

see ya all in a bit...maybe...
