Yesterday I went through the McD's drive through to grab some lunch for DS. He saw the promo sign for the Little Mermaid toys and said, "That's Little Mermaid. She has RED hair." Then he just smiled. (So of course he had to get the little Mermaid toy instead of the Bionicle one.)

So, another warning to the redheads. Walt is taking notice.

I can't remember if I posted this last night or not...but I won a couple auctions for 2 sets of the McD's toys & they work out to 1.28 each including shipping. I don't have to run around getting them. DD gets the Little Mermaid ones & DS will get the bionicles.

DD is in pre-alg. They are doing order of operation and adding and subtracting positive and negative integers. Her teacher writes out their problems something like this...

5+-9+6--5+-8--10.
Shouldn't it be;
5+(-9)+6-(-5)+(-8)-(-10)

I can't stand it without the parentheses!!

Doesn't that translate to

5-9+6+5-8+10?

Caroline, we were talking to a 4th grader who came in to check out books to read during lunch today. She is observing the fast now too. She told the librarian that she doesn't eat anything until after sundown. Isn't 4th grade a little young to do that or are there different groups within the faith?

Can someone with an under 3 year old who has not reserved all of their Flounders hours check to see what kind of availability is left? I am kind of curious to see if some times are already fully booked or if it looks like there is still quite a bit available.

We watched a very good movie on TCM channel today. The Strange Love of Margaret Ivers. 1946 Barbara Stanwick, Kirk Douglas and Van Heflin. Had never heard of it before but I really liked it.

I wonder if it would let us with older kids look at the times or if it "knows" we won't be using Flounders.
