Thank you! I am still behind since Friday morning. 102 temp, can't get an appt, tried the nyquil - gag is that some gross tasting stuff - it tastes like anise - yuck. I hear the stupid weeze - although I feel much better and the headache is finally gone. That was terrible I was crying like a baby. So now I'm feeling better but feeling very sorry for myself and very very far behind in this thread.

Glad you are feeling a bit better Carla! :grouphug: & pixiedust:

I'm amazed that some hospitals are so different about epidurals. I was high risk on both my pregnancies and both times they didn't want me to have an epidural. The epidural had nothing to do with my risk, but at our hospital....you only get an epidural if you really really need one.

I went natural with both my kids and it wasn't bad at all. Maybe I had a high tolerance of pain.

I was very fortunate to not have an epidural with my second son. While I was pushing, the fire alarms went off. I'm one of those overly observant types so while the nurse kept telling me everythign was okay - I knew it wasn't. There were too many other people going in and out of the room. Sure enough - out comes son...son goes on my belly with a hot water bottle to keep him warm and wooosh....they are wizzing me out of the LDR and we're flying down the hall. We move to a vacant breezeway where there are all these windows. There I am..not in good shape...very messy...poor son on my belly and we look thru the windows to see a very real fire. The doctor has to finish doing their stuff right in the hallway.

Apparently the fire was literally right above my LDR. THey didn't want to panic me. So then these firemen come thru, telling me we have to evacuate to the emergency room.....5 FLIGHTS DOWN! No elevators mind you!!! So the doctor picks up little Adam...and the fireman wants to carry me. No thanks!! I can walk...but well...after giving birth...you aren't exactly ready to walk...not going into the gory details, but let's just say there was quite a mess for the poor janitors to clean up as I walked down the hallway. I felt so bad for the janitors and my doctor kept telling me - Don't even think about it! Then DH spotted a wheel chair and went to get it for me when this not so nice nurse said it was for emergency patients. Note to nurses: don't be mean to a husband who has just had to evacuate his wife and newborn from a burning hospital.

The whole thing was so amazing...we called Adam "Smokey" for the first few months. Apparently it was so bad and I guess the hospital thought it was so bad for us that they actually brought me flowers and the Director came for a visit.

So...that's my story on why I'm happy I never got an epidural! And I'm sticking to it!

 Now THAT'S a story!! Bet DS will want to be a fireman when he grows up! :teeth:

Samantha, while pouring syrup on her waffle says, "look guys, the three little pigs house" like it was something you see every day. I think oj shot out my nose I was laughing so hard!

:grouphug: Sorry to hear that you are sick, Carla! :( ITA about the Nyquil but I take it because I know that is the only way that I can sleep if I am that sick.

WOW! What an amazing story to be able to tell your DS! Apparently if you don't have back labor, it isn't too bad. That is what I have been told anyway. The contraction itself wasn't bad, it was the back that was killing me.

Karen, that's totally amazing! You are one strong woman.

Remember "A woman is like a teabag. You don't know how strong she is until you put her in hot water."

This will be my first cruise to mexico of any kind and my first week long cruise of any kind. All others will probably be a let down.

From now on you will hear me saying. "It's not like the time we cruised with the DIS Geeks".

what did everyone think of DH last night?

I was a bit confused because I missed a few at the end of last season. What happened to Mike and who is Bree's fiance?? I had stopped watching for abit because the storylines were getting a bit "too much" off the wall fo me. Plus I just didn't have the time....

The maid sure learned English well in 6 months. ;) I feel sorry for Bree getting married to that loser. It is going to take all season to find out that he ran Susan's guy down on purpose. Lynette put up with alot more than I would have too. It was frustrating watching her have to deal with the wench.

I believe that Bree met Mr. Loser when she was commited last season. For whatever reason, he ran Mike over. I will look it up for you. :)

AR has been interesting so far! Me and the girls didn't watch the premiere until yesterday afternoon and we just sat there like  What a way to be the first one to go!! So far it has been a pretty tough road..which I like!! :thumbsup2
Although there are a couple of teams I would have rather seen go.

OK, Orson is Susan's dentist so he knew Mike from prison. I believe that he tried to kill Mike so that he couldn't ID him and tell Bree about his past.

At the Fairview Meadows Psychiatric Hospital where Bree checked herself in, she is surprised to run into Susan's dentist friend, Orson, who's there visiting a patient. She begs him not to say anything to Susan, since Bree told her she was at a spa. Orson promises to keep her secret. She makes her escape as Orson watches but doesn't interfere. ..... When she goes to see Mike later, he's nursing a chipped tooth, so she advises him to go see her dentist, Orson. He says he's not going to propose if she still has feelings for Karl, but she insists she doesn't. He goes to see Orson, who correctly guesses that some of Mike's subpar dental work is from a prison dentist, since he spent some time doing freebies for inmates himself once. Mike asks if Orson ever worked on him, since he seems familiar, but Orson says no. ......Susan sends Mike an invitation to meet her by the lake for a romantic dinner in her trailer home. She tells her friends she's the one who's going to pop the question. And she tells Karl her plans as well, since first she needs him to finalize their second divorce. He reluctantly signs the papers. Mike is picking up flowers for his date when a car runs him over! He lays, unconscious or dead in the street, while we see that it was Orson behind the wheel. Meanwhile, Susan waits all night for Mike to show.

The next day, Bree is surprised to find Orson in her front yard with flowers. "Congratulations on your escape," he says and she smiles and invites him in.
