Carla, :grouphug: Hope you get feeling better.
Thank you! I am still behind since Friday morning. 102 temp, can't get an appt, tried the nyquil - gag is that some gross tasting stuff - it tastes like anise - yuck. I hear the stupid weeze - although I feel much better and the headache is finally gone. That was terrible I was crying like a baby. So now I'm feeling better but feeling very sorry for myself and very very far behind in this thread.

Anyone else super excited that the cruise is only 74 days away? It seems so close now!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

:grouphug: Feel better soon! Is there a Quick Care you can go to? You may need an antibiotic.

Jumping around - Pj I missed your birthday! I hope it was a great one!!
Welcome Jill!! Prayers and positive energy to your family.
I think I also saw Jodie's sister and a dialogue about Beagles but its hard to skim around here. Jodie, my 30th was fine but so was my 40th. DH and my birthday wrap around Lisa's DH's bday. Birthday's around special events tend to be ignored so it's important to acknowledge them - imho.

That's terrible. :( The nurse told DH that I had one of the best epidurals the first time that she had covered. :thumbsup2 I went from contractions a minute apart with back labor to being able to take a nap. :) I didn't feel anything pushing DS out either. It was great with DD too. I have heard some horror stories though...just got lucky I guess.

I'm amazed that some hospitals are so different about epidurals. I was high risk on both my pregnancies and both times they didn't want me to have an epidural. The epidural had nothing to do with my risk, but at our hospital....you only get an epidural if you really really need one.

I went natural with both my kids and it wasn't bad at all. Maybe I had a high tolerance of pain.

I was very fortunate to not have an epidural with my second son. While I was pushing, the fire alarms went off. I'm one of those overly observant types so while the nurse kept telling me everythign was okay - I knew it wasn't. There were too many other people going in and out of the room. Sure enough - out comes son...son goes on my belly with a hot water bottle to keep him warm and wooosh....they are wizzing me out of the LDR and we're flying down the hall. We move to a vacant breezeway where there are all these windows. There I am..not in good shape...very messy...poor son on my belly and we look thru the windows to see a very real fire. The doctor has to finish doing their stuff right in the hallway.

Apparently the fire was literally right above my LDR. THey didn't want to panic me. So then these firemen come thru, telling me we have to evacuate to the emergency room.....5 FLIGHTS DOWN! No elevators mind you!!! So the doctor picks up little Adam...and the fireman wants to carry me. No thanks!! I can walk...but well...after giving birth...you aren't exactly ready to walk...not going into the gory details, but let's just say there was quite a mess for the poor janitors to clean up as I walked down the hallway. I felt so bad for the janitors and my doctor kept telling me - Don't even think about it! Then DH spotted a wheel chair and went to get it for me when this not so nice nurse said it was for emergency patients. Note to nurses: don't be mean to a husband who has just had to evacuate his wife and newborn from a burning hospital.

The whole thing was so amazing...we called Adam "Smokey" for the first few months. Apparently it was so bad and I guess the hospital thought it was so bad for us that they actually brought me flowers and the Director came for a visit.

So...that's my story on why I'm happy I never got an epidural! And I'm sticking to it!

Opens at 5P. I'm all over it. Trying to manage my care and not use the emergency room for a non emergent situation but they make it difficult when you can't get in. I can get into my allergist because his speciality is asthma and they know better but internal medicine appears to be whether you know the secretary or not. Oh, mean comment. Sorry. That's how I know I'm not even 60% I am not feeling like a very nice person.

I too am feeling like I could use a nice turkey dinner complete with green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, etc.....:) Thanksgiving is around the corner really.

Jill, I think you will be able to make brunch reservations upon boarding and as far as the excursions, you may want to check back in a week or two on the web site. People may change their mind and cancel, etc.

I can't believe it is getting this close either!! I can't wait!

I am starving today......and amazingly $10 is missing from my purse. Coincidently enough Samantha and Haley were rummaging through it yesterday in search of "lip stips" - but Samantha knows all about cash, I better check her purses tonight.

A funny ---- on our way out of Gainesville we stopped for breakfast and outside the restaurant window you could see an old old old motel.....very thin lengthwise and red brick. Real red brick. Samantha, while pouring syrup on her waffle says, "look guys, the three little pigs house" like it was something you see every day. I think oj shot out my nose I was laughing so hard!

Every time I think I'm almost caught up ... another page is added.

Unfortunately I need to get back to work. If I can read a page an hour I'll be glad.

Oh, the Honda dealership called this morning - they expect the new CRV this weekend.

:furious: I was 6 months pregnant when DS was 18 months and in the hospital for dehydration. That was so difficult. They finally took him to another room to have an IV put in and wouldn't let me in the room. I stood outside the door of his room & cried while listening to him screaming. :guilty: IDK how long it was but when DH got there & saw me he asked where DS was & realized that it was him crying. I couldn't take it anymore & I went right into the room. The poor thing looked like he had track marks up and down one arm.

:sad2: So so sad. I know they have to learn, but on a baby?!?!?! It still makes me shudder when I think of it! She had been poked plenty of times while in the NICU, even an IV in her scalp, but they never made her scream!

It's so hard to catch up sometimes... I feel bad, but every now and then I have to skim and hope I didn't miss anything important. :rolleyes1

I've never heard it called WallyWorld either. :confused3 I thought they made a park or something somewhere and named it after the Vacation one also. :rotfl:

Ok, as long as I wasn't the ONLY one! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
