I'm finally getting a chance to tell you all our funny story from last night.
Tuesday, our Select Comfort sales lady calls and says our bed should arrive on Wednesday.
Wednesday, I'm home...no boxes. We were told there were 6 large, heavy boxes that the bed comes in. Okay...waiting...waiting.... Everyone comes home from football practice at 8:30. No bed. I think - okay, tomorrow.
At 8:45, the phone rings...
Me - "Hello"
"Hi, is this Don Rhoad's house"
me - "Yes"
"Is he there?
me - "Yes, may I ask who is calling?"
"Well, did you order a select comfort bed?"
me - "Yes......long pause...."
"well, we have your bed at our house. This is your neighbor about 10 houses away."
me - long pause...."ok, I'll let my husband know"
Apparently the (explatives deleted) delivery man delivered the bed to that guys house and that guy's wife's jewelry to our house. Found that out after I walked out to the driveway at 9PM.
So we call UPS. They say - gosh, sorry, not sure what we can do.
Huh?!!! We have an expensive bed sitting outside at teh wrong house and you don't know what to do?!!!
So we call the bed store where we bought it. They say - can you hire a moving company to go get it
Huh?!! It is 9PM and we paid to have it shipped to our house. Now you want us to pay to have it MOVED from the wrong house to our house.
Tell ya what - both parties customer service STUNK!!!!!!! It was outrageous.
Bottom line where we left it last night....the bed was sitting in the guys driveway. It rained. We told Select Comfort to send us another brand new one and come get that one.
I was speecheless!!!! Had to share the story.
