I don't remember if I mentioned DD's softball game Saturday, but one of her teammates broke her leg. :sad2: She was pitching. While covering home on a passed ball, the girl stealing home slid into her leg. What a horrid sound it made! Broke the tibula and fibula, one clean through! She was in surgery and the doctors couldn't set it straight. She has to go back in for surgery tomorrow and get a metal plate put in. At practice yesterday, the girls signed a big card and put in money towards a gift basket we will make for her. This poor girl broke her nose a few years ago during her 2nd practice ever!! I shudder thinking about it all day...

Oh! That sounds just terrible.

Thats horrible.....i totally feel her pain and will pray for a good recovery. February 2005 I broke all the bones in my ankle and dislocated it, my foot was on a total 90 degree angle...When I got to the hospital, they had to put it back into place....imagine, dh2b watching, they made him sit down across the room.....anyways, a week later I have a plate and six screws put on one side and two screws on the other. I was out of work for 3 months and my ancle is still not the same and never will be. I can't wear heals anymore and my toes go numb running.....
I hope she recovers and tell her to take her time recovering. Keep her spirits up.....

Good morning and happy talk like a pirate day! pirate:

I have more wedding plans for Jodi for y'all to mull over today.
Picture this. Jodi and DH2B are cutting the cake in Palo in a dignified manner with the ocean in the background. Through the window on the deck you see either:

1. Streaking Disers
or
2. Disers trying to get into the reception like zombies.

Oh, and YIPES! on that broken leg Caroline. That sounds like it sounded awful.

Hey Patsy - how about I make buttons that say "I'm with the Bride" then everyone will think we're just part of the wedding party....ya never know - maybe we can get some free drinks out of this too?!!!

MICKEYPLAN!!!

I received an email from DCL dining this morning and got a "Great job" from them. We will go with the requested rotations unless they advise me otherwise. If anyone else would like to join the group, I can send the information up until 11/5/06.

Maybe they will offer you a job that you can do from home! :goodvibes :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

OK... I'm off the board for about a week, and now I am 3,000 posts behind. :guilty:

I surrender. :confused3 (I managed to keep up for the first 20,000+ posts)

I will just blindly assume that I did not miss anything earth shattering and join back in!

Aww come on...Lisa caught up within a day and a half I believe! ;)

Are you doing the dining rotation?? And did you make ressies??

Oh, by the way, glad to have you back! :goodvibes

Yes, as Lisa said she is getting married on Deck 7 Thursday. Let's keep her.

We are not invited to the actual ceremony or reception. But, we have been inventing ways to disrupt the transition between them.

Again, no banana peels in respect for the dress or shoes please.

Everyone is more than welcome to join, but it will have to be on deck 8 though....as they only allow 20 on deck 7 :guilty: . Not sure of the time though...they don't tell you that until 2 weeks before the wedding :confused3

Here are my finds along with the shirt I got for this cruise. I will use the same black peasant skirt with coins sewn along the seams.

Jodi,
I am sorry to hear about you ankle. That must have been rough.

I am also sorry you are off heels and here I have been teasing about pretty wedding shoes. (Hope I didn't offend)

But, I actually have something productive to say about flats on your wedding day and pretty shoes. In college I had a friend with a degenerative muscle disease that restricted the type of shoes she could wear. She had to wear sensible shoes only all the time no matter what.

For her wedding she did not want the sensible shoes in the garter picture. So, she uesd "stunt" shoes. She got settled down safe and sound, took off the flats, put on the pretty shoes, got the picture, and put the regular shoes back on.

Just a reminder to everyone, Out of respect for the dress and the ankle, No banana peels.

P. S. I wore flats the whole way through the wedding so I wouldn't fall on my back side in that dress. (Insert slipping and falling smiley here)

Karen, Have you done one of those? Is it really chocolate or just mud with an aromatherapie cocoa smell?

Kristina - don't know and don't care. I haven't done a chocolate thing at the Spa...unless you count eating all the little chocolates they have lying around the spa. I can't imagine being slathered with chocolate and feeling good. It kinda feels strange to eat chocolate when you are getting a facial, but when in Hershey...

I stick with the other spa treats. My favorites are : Noche Azul Soak (Jasmine...mmm); Mojito Body Wrap; Garden Rose Petal Soak, Herbal Meadow and Sea Scrub; and Meadow Flowers Herbal Wrap

Here is the link to the spa:

Can we all chime in with a Hip Hip Hooray for Lisa for all her work on the dining plan!!!!

plus it will get us closer to 26,000 ;)
