Was at work... We ahve TV monitors thjroughout the building that we normally have on close circuit for internal information. Once the first plance hit, and since we work in a call center, a cardholder told us, the TV's were all turned on and we stopped making calls. We jsut all sat and watched the news. We started making calls again around 2:30-3:00 in the afternoon and people were given the option of going home and making up the time on another day.

NOT going to touch this (sp) - I have to live with this one . . .

So true Lisa. I had also just dropped off Amanda for preschool and was on my wa home when I heard about "a" plane crashing into the tower. They were just getting info about the other one and I thought it was a joke because of the station I was listening to. Spent the whole day watching.

When they went off the air at 10 am I switched to MSNBC. They are rebroadcasting that morning's show. It was horrific to watch then but even more so now knowing what we do, visualizing firefighters going up before the towers collasped.

Wow! I finally caught up. I had some 65 pages to read, and I too, have to read every post. All I can say is thank goodness you guys were in Chat on Satureday night or I would never had got caught up!

Yeah, no transcripts of those 8 hours because most of us kept refreshing chat instead of DCL's site. I am probably most thankful for that. I think that I surprised a couple of you this time.

My dad had a flight home from Phoenix that day. My mom was staying with us while he was away and my phone rang early in the AM, I was still asleep, it was my dad and he said "I won't be flying home today." I asked why and he said "Someone used a plane to bomb the World Trade Center, turn on your TV." That's how I found out.
