Did you have a good time Amy? Any stories?? :teeth:
Yes, Amy - that is my excuse for staying logged in this morning. I didn't want to lose the info because by the time my work day ends 20 pages will have sprouted here.

No V! I can barely keep up with this thread. Don't tempt me to start reading the other ones....must keep self control....don't have time...do not look...

So true Lisa. I had also just dropped off Amanda for preschool and was on my wa home when I heard about "a" plane crashing into the tower. They were just getting info about the other one and I thought it was a joke because of the station I was listening to. :sad2: Spent the whole day watching.

I was working 2nd shift back then (we were still in PA). I had dropped DD off at school around 8 and returned home. For some reason i never turned on the TV that morning. I was doing housework (laundry, vacumming, and was washing dishes.) My DH called me from his job and said guess what's happening... I was kidding and said "The world is ending and the sky is falling.." He answered "sort of...Turn on the TV". I turned on the TV and it was maybe 10 minutes later when the first tower fell.

They still made us go in to work but what a horrible day. I remember hearing about the crash of the plane in PA while i drove in to work. Everyone at work had MSN and MSNBC up on the internet as our only source of news while at work. (we worked in a call center; but we could flick over to the internet between calls.)

has anyone tried printing the DCL's cruise plans summary page? My keeps printing blank with just DCL web on the top line. Very odd....

Vanessa, have you tried to do a print screen save then put it on another document to save it & print it out?

I remember turning on the tv and everyone was so confused and the second tower fell. I remember that sick feeling to see it live. Similar to when I lived in NH and we were all watching Christa McAuliffe - first teacher in space from NH in the shuttle. We were watching from work and just sitting there when the cloud of smoke appeared. We just sat there.

Was at work... We ahve TV monitors thjroughout the building that we normally have on close circuit for internal information. Once the first plance hit, and since we work in a call center, a cardholder told us, the TV's were all turned on and we stopped making calls. We jsut all sat and watched the news. We started making calls again around 2:30-3:00 in the afternoon and people were given the option of going home and making up the time on another day.

OK guys,

Kristina is the only one who sent me results this week, so I will post Kristina and myself. Maybe the rest of you are sandbagging on us, and will then swoop in to win the challenge in the last week.

Anyhow,

Yesterday was my 30th birthday. I got to spend the majority of the day in the van with my DH and the 2 kids. I thought my DH was taking me out to dinner with some family. We got to my DMom's house tonight to pick them up and.....they had a surprise party for me! I was honestly surprised! I was so excited! There were 26 of my best friends and some family! It was great! My DH really pulled it off!
That is so awesome!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

:Pinkbounc  :cheer2: princess:

Okay - have a great morning all. I need to focus on the job that pays for this cruise business. I am so far behind.

Well, they need to add to the list....

Lisa got on the airplane without any ID and her DD disappeared on the 11th floor of the hotel so security had to be called in.

Lisa - that is so scary - we lost Kendell in Busch Gardens when he was 4 - soooooo scary - worst (??? not sure how many) minutes of my life!!

and yes, that is the Kendell with stitches in his head! but they come out today!! :bounce:

No stories this year... no grocery carts this year...

I was on the winning team on Sunday (we play a scramble).

There were several people that were moving slow Sunday after Saturday night...

What was weird was there were these guys there that we all thought looked famiiar and one of the girls started talking to them and it turns out they were there last year too. In fact the one guy said I remember you, and then quoted the girls email address to her... she never had received an email from him but we all thought it was strange that he remembered it for a whole year!!!

I have got to get goin.... was to be at work at 10:30!!!! Sorry John!! I got got up with the whole 9/11 coverage.

have you all read some of the other meet threads? I just happened to look a one and they have some hilarious things planned. I think we should make first timers (DCL) wear something funny during sailaway!! The 11 nighters are planning an ice cream contest, grass skirt fraternity, tag game, scotch and cigars...it's amazing what they have come up with. When I retire I want to cruise DCL lots more and make up fun stuff to do!! How great would that be?

They have more days to plan for. We have alot planned for a 7 day.
