Well, Two days to work and then we're going back home to DL! Woo Hoo.

Last time we were there (6 weeks ago) they did have some orange Wannahockaloogi hats left at the outlet store.

Good morning!
Two kids up; one to go!
Bus should be here at 8:30 for DD8. Then I take DS to preschool at 9. Then DD13 gets a late start when her bus arrives at 11:15 (in our middle school, they have the 6th graders go in at regular time, then 7th & 8th have a late start; high school does the same thing with 9th; I guess so that the first year kids can get their bearings without the older ones around).
Too bad it's gray and rainy; but we'll make them pose for those first day photos anyway!

YIKES! You sure added fuel to the fire. At least your girls weren't old enough to be able to do the ditch & run moves like Kristina's DD & DH. They have a serious aversion to anyone who posts on the internet...though they did sit at the same table with us for lunch.

Whew!!! Here I thought they just didn't like to stand close to people with paint on them!!!

...the story goes...

when I met Kristina and her family at Brewsters, I was in the middle of painting. I thought I'd have enough time to clean up, but they were ahead of schedule. Anyway, I went...figured, family's got to accept one another - paint and all!!! And met Kristina and family...she sat there and pointed out all the paint in my hair while her DD and DH slowly slipped away. It was too funny!!!

As far as we could tell, only caroline had a language problem. She missed the r in shirt and everything got starred out. It was totally an accident and then it got a life of it's own. Karen if you are out there how about S*** as a button?

I may as well tell you guys what else we found out over the weekend because I think that it is going to affect us quite a bit in the next few weeks. DH's parents met us at the hotel after he picked us up at the airport on Thursday. Later they told me why MIL was walking so slowly. She had surgery two days before to insert a tube thru her back to drain her kidney. The stint that they put in due to the tumor closing off drainage from that kidney became infected and had to be removed...the second time this has happened. That kidney is now shut down & needs to be drained. Her other kidney is opperating at 67%. I don't know what is going on and will have to get DH to call her doctor to find out the prognosis. They are not going to remove the dead kidney, which isn't a great situation from what I can imagine and what I have been able to read tonight. After everything else she has gone thru, this doesn't seem to be able to be overcome and we need to prepare quickly IMO. Renal failure is a possible side effect of the chemo drug she has been taking the past couple years.

Lisa - sorry about your MIL. Hope she is okay. Keep us updated.
