Whew!!! Here I thought they just didn't like to stand close to people with paint on them!!!

...the story goes...

when I met Kristina and her family at Brewsters, I was in the middle of painting. I thought I'd have enough time to clean up, but they were ahead of schedule. Anyway, I went...figured, family's got to accept one another - paint and all!!! And met Kristina and family...she sat there and pointed out all the paint in my hair while her DD and DH slowly slipped away. It was too funny!!!

No, it wasn't just you. They would go to the next level and then look down over the rail at us. When we started talking DIS over lunch they were squirming in their seats.

Goodness this morning was difficult! Neither kid wanted to get out of bed....I would have loved to stay in bed too. I might just make a quick return trip to catch up on the sleep this weekend. Staying up late chatting with our friends was too tempting & has thrown me off again. Laundry is going and the rest of the house should get a good dusting. This might be a crock pot roast day...but I need to get that started soon.

I just left a message for MIL's doctor's nurse to call me. I can't remember if she ever added me to the heppa list but in the past they have talked to me regarding getting the insurance dealt with. If they can't talk to me I will just ask if DH needs to call to discuss her prognosis so that he can be prepared. BIL/SILs aren't home so that can wait. IDK if they will call hospice in or if that is something we will need to do.

I don't think anyone posted about DD's antics at the hotel Friday night. Just one more thing that I didn't need to deal with. After hearing about MIL's situation FIL & I took DD downstairs to meet up with DH & DS so we could go to dinner. I was trying to be polite and listen to FIL, who walks slowly...much slower than DD...so she ran ahead. I thought that the elevator was at the end of the hall to the right so when she turned I figured she would be there when we got there. She wasn't. FIL went downstairs from the 11th floor to check the lobby. I walked around waiting for her to come back up in another elevator. DH & DS came up and he went off looking for her when I told him what happened. I finally went downstairs and FIL was just standing there. He said he didn't see her. I was upset with him for just standing there and went across the lobby to the front desk. I excused myself and interrupted the man at the desk telling the girl that DD was missing. I described her head to toe. Everyone behind the desk started working on finding her. They had a security person with the ear piece set up talking to me in about 30 seconds and he relayed her description to his team. He came right back and told me that they might have her at the pool on the 2nd floor. He went to pick her up & DH came out of the elevator with DD in his arms. He found her running the halls on the 11th floor. Evidently there was another hall after the elevator and that is where she turned. It set up like a square where she could just go round and round. (IDK what happened with the little girl they found on her own at the pool but it wasn't DD.) After giving security her description, I was a total mess. The manager kept wanting trying to get me to sit down in her office but I couldn't move. I couldn't stop crying. It may have been a total of 5 minutes but sure seemed alot longer. When she saw me upset of course she started crying. The manager brought her a HUGE teddy bear with a tshirt with the hotel name on the front and that made her smile. She has slept with that bear ever since. Other people in the lobby when I walked thru realized what was wrong too. I heard one guy say "that lady has lost her kid" when I walked by and his group came over to get the description and started looking for her too.

I worked on my t shirts this weekend.

For anyone planning on makign t shirts. If you buy the transfer paper that says "light fabric"...they really mean it! For some reason, I decided to test it on a black t shirt....black is not a light fabric. I ruined the t shirt AND the transfer paper.

The rest of them came out REALLY nice. Only about 14 more to make for all my friends and kids!!!

Two kids at school! DS3 was totally into school. No tears no drama. It's weird when most of the rest of the preschool is having a crisis and your son goes right to the toys and doesn't even say goodbye.

Now DD13 is watching TV for one last fix before school starts.

Oh Lisa - I can't imagine the stress and helplessness you must have been feeling. Thank goodness Kaitlyn was found and fine.

Oh yeah - 3am, how many of us are going to be up? We have a game that Saturday in Gainesville. I am thinking of opting out so DH can go and take someone else and I can be sure I am in front of a computer at 3am....now that is crazy - a die hard Gator giving up a game for DCL ressies??

Oh my! Not knowing where your child is in this day and age is heart stopping. I would have been sobbing too. So glad she was just running in circles!

Actually, I hear there should be plenty of fresh snacks when we board the ship, so no worries! And DS3 is very close to being potty trained, so I hope I won't have to worry about Flounders hours!

I just got off the phone with my MIL. She called the doctor today & is being referred to a doctor at Wake Forest. This is one of those last hope treatments. Also, the tests came back on her kidney function & the one with a tube is 30%. The other one is at 60%. We wont know anything else until after Friday now.

(and i'm sorry if i pointed out any paint; didn't mean it in a negative way)

and you know what's funny; my DH has his own chat room for his games that he goes to; just doesn't have the urge to travel with them and meet them too.

I think his aversions to meet new people has rubbed off on DD sometimes in a negative way.

BTW for Lisa and family. I know it's a rough time. My DMIL never even gave us a heads up beforehand. She was already on hospice before they told us.
