As far as we could tell, only caroline had a language problem. She missed the r in shirt and everything got starred out. It was totally an accident and then it got a life of it's own. Karen if you are out there how about S*** as a button?

PJ, there is not a possible good outcome for this. One of her kidneys is dead. Her body will start rejecting it as a foreign object soon. They wont/can't remove it because the tumor that is wrapped around the tube is also entwined with her spine. This could paralize her. They wont operate if they know that they cannot remove all of the cancer. They aren't going to put a new kidney into a person who has an inopperable cancer mass and has been stage 4 for over 5 years. The family doesn't accept reality easily and FIL has been in denial for a while. I also need to call one of his brothers and her brother to let them know since they don't speak to them.

I did that for my DH family when his mother and father both were ill and when they died. I hated doing it because it was so hard, but I do not have a single regret afterwards. I am, and so is DH, they knew, could make some amends and that we did not create new anger by not telling them. They were all very kind to me and I am sure they will be to you. My prayers are with you while you do this... Man, you are due something really good here soon....

I may as well tell you guys what else we found out over the weekend because I think that it is going to affect us quite a bit in the next few weeks. DH's parents met us at the hotel after he picked us up at the airport on Thursday. Later they told me why MIL was walking so slowly. She had surgery two days before to insert a tube thru her back to drain her kidney. The stint that they put in due to the tumor closing off drainage from that kidney became infected and had to be removed...the second time this has happened. That kidney is now shut down & needs to be drained. Her other kidney is opperating at 67%. I don't know what is going on and will have to get DH to call her doctor to find out the prognosis. They are not going to remove the dead kidney, which isn't a great situation from what I can imagine and what I have been able to read tonight. After everything else she has gone thru, this doesn't seem to be able to be overcome and we need to prepare quickly IMO. Renal failure is a possible side effect of the chemo drug she has been taking the past couple years.

I just wasn't sure if you even have to call them. I thought they just have the info that you are returning automatically - whether or not you received the card in the mail. Did not want to give her bad info. Calling is always the best route though if you are not sure.

You mean noone answered that? You just need to call DCL to have them give you your CC number so that you can register on the DCL site. They should be able to confirm that your resie has this number on it.

I would have thought so too but have seen posts on the board that someone couldn't make resies at 90 days because their number wasn't linked to the resie or it was a different number than what they use to have.

Yes, though she should have been home in bed recovering from surgery instead of traveling 6 miles with no a/c with a tropical storm heading our way. Maybe she knows this too...and that is why she insisted on going.

Well, I should try to get some sleep. I think that I am going to take something to help me or I wont fall asleep for an hour or more....too much going thru my mind. IDK when DD will have her party now. I hate to plan it in 2 or 3 weeks with this going on. She was very happy to get her Cinderella castle though.
