Been catching up on the 20 pages I'm behind...

but I have a question from pages ago....

With the new security procedures, I know you can't bring liquids thru security, but after you go thru security, can't you buy a drink at the stands and bring it on the plane? And what about food....can you bring food on thru security or does a snack have to be purchased after you go thru security?

Karen, they have said that anything purchased after security must be consumed before boarding the plane. I don't think that there are restrictions on taking food onboard. ???

Exactly my dates as well...I just got off the phone with WDW again and NOTHING except a limited number of rooms at the Caribbean Beach resort. The values are booked, and the hospitality suites are open at the Contemporary.

I am going to keep trying back and hope someone cancels.


ETA - I lied...there are a few at some of the Epcot resorts (BC, BW)...in excess of $300 a night.

Well I am glad I am all caught up now!! Thankfully no one is as chatty in the AM as you all are at night or I would never know what is going on!

If they put a snake in our hall...my DH would not leave the room!!! I personally am not thrilled about snakes but he is a terrified nut! We have rattle snakes in our area. One of our "friends" had a pet snake....crazy. Anyway, in a drunken stooper...her "kissed" his snake...he got bit on the lip. He spent several days in the hospital getting anitvenum. When he arrived at the hospital at first no one believed that he was bit...much less in the face!!!! They are prevelant in northern PA...not so much around where I live. I saw him about 2 weeks after the bit. He was still puffy and his entire face was black and blue. He nearly died...the freak...still has rattle snakes! (Yes it is illegal)

How about infancy?

Orthodox baptise our children as infants, and after baptism, the child receives their first communion, and then can take communion regularly the rest of their lives.

DW was brought up Lutheran though, and both of our children were baptised Orthodox. I had less trouble with Alex and church, because I was used to the experience as a boy, and he was an altar boy. Sophia on the other hand is a very picky child with ANYTHING that enters her mouth, and pretty much refuses to take communion. I keep hoping she will grow out of it, but no such luck so far.

Most of you are probably not aware of the communion process in an Orthodox church, but let me just say it is NOT pretty if your child is kicking and screaming that she does NOT want to take communion and go up to that funny dressed man with the beard!

John - I can relate! I was raised in the Orthodox church half my life and then we went Roman Catholic b/c there were no Orthodox churches where we lived. I raise my kids RC but my bro went back to the Orthodox church. Sat thru 4 of the baptism/communion ceremonies for each of my nieces/nephews/Godchildren.

Wow - we really have slowed down. I wasn't able to get on the boards yesterday b/c I was so busy.

I hope I can keep up with you guys over the next week but I'll be off enjoying the last week of summer with the boys.

We're doing Hershey Park on Monday and we'll go to the movies and parks and out to lunch and anywhere they want to go! I have to make up for the long hours I've been working at this new job.

I'm really looking forward to it.

Well - wish me luck - I'm gonna call my TA and make my final payment! YIPPEEE!!!

What a day - I am glad tomorrow is Friday.
Ballet tonight, so dinner out or on the fly.
This weekend we are supposed to go to a bday party for a little boy in Samantha's class - he will be 3!!! She is almost four, and then we had two more invites for others turning 3! She is (almost) a year older than these children! I know, most people say oh there's no difference...but I can easily see one. Since the majority are younger the school follows "younger" curriculum...not much I can do but I sure hope to goodness she isn't bored in K. Don't know if we'll go to the party - I have no babysitter for Haley as DH works on Saturday's...the mom said I could bring her (she had counted her in) but I hate doing that....it's hard enough keeping up with Samantha and then to have to try and wrestle with Haley....nah - I think we'll send a gift ----- OK MOM'S OF BOYS ---- what do I get a 3 year old little boy?? Keep in mind our Toy's R Us closed so it would have to come from Target's toy dept!

oh and you Geek challengers...I managed to get in a 45 walk last night. I am going to Weight Watchers tomorrow for my monthly weigh in and then I plan to "attack" the Geek challenge full force from then on!

Where they've arrested a guy in Thailand.

Does anyone else think he's a sick delusional kook who is just claiming to be the person who killed her.

His ex-girlfriend or wife has gone on record saying that the guy investigated the family after the crime and wrote a term paper about the investigations and was obsessed with the details.

That and today the press was saying he said he picked her up from school and took her to the basement. HELLO it was christmas eve and she was with her parents that night who came home and tucked her INTO BED....

I think it's a fraud.... a sick one... but a fraud....

Kristina - it is very sad. The details I'm hearing are that he knows details of the case that were never revealed to the public and that's why the police believe he is the killer. I heard that he HAD picked her up from school....but not necessarily on that specific day...b/c like you pointed out it was Christmas Eve.

Didn't the police arrest him....not that he turned himself in, right?!

I've always been interested in this case and just watched the movie again the other day. I still maintain someone in that family or close circle of friends knows something. If something happened to one of my girls I would be throwing myself at the police in full cooperation, not hiring an attny and refusing a lie detector.

The guy's story does not add up and I don't think we'll ever know the truth.

ETA; his exwife also went on record to say that he was with her that night in Alabama (or GA).
