I don't think I could ever consider a DCL cruise cheap but if we can count it as therapy will my insurance help pay for it?

File a stress claim for Worker's Comp and let your employer pay for it!

Actual cruise planning question...

About this rainforest room. What exactly do you wear? Would something like a bathing suit paired with some shorts be good?

We just wear our bathing suits. We wear a coverup on the way there (well, I do, DrHug wears a tshirt with his trunks) and then they give you a robe to slip over your suit. I usually wear the robe when I am on the tile lounger and in the hot/no steam room. Then I hang the robe on a hook outside the door of the steam rooms when we are in there.

Another one is appealing a decision denying an addition to a claim - she injured herself on a snowy day on her BREAK going out to smoke, she slipped and fell on the ice in the parking lot - claim allowed. Nine months later, she fell on the steps at home and claims her ankle was weakened by her work injury and THAT is why she fell down the steps!

Hey wait.... I resemble that.... Last year i fell off the curb while carrying a large box to my car at work. I was on my way for a site plan submission so had to get back up, brush off my ego, and hobble to the car because you can't miss the appt. or they bump you back 2-3 weeks. Well my ankle hurt like heck when i did it. By the time i got back to the office, i was literally swollen like a balloon and hot. Luckily wasn't broken but i still have some weakness on that side and re-injured it one day when i stepped on it funny.

I filed an accident report with work in case to cover x-rays and such but i never did take off any time for it.

My theory is "If your going to feel like crap, you might-as-well be at work anyway."

Brandi - I can't believe I will be 32 in Nov...I feel (and I am sure act at times) only 21!!! and I can't believe DH just turned 42....what was I thinking?

John1 - glad you found a home...and yes, it's before we get there....it's that darn month end close or I would spend a week at WDW and then the cruise. I am "pushing it" as my boss would say to be leaving on the 7th!

Well dinner tonight....lasagna with portobella mushroom flatbread.....and a nice glass of wine once I get these girls bathed. Going to do that now!

Thanks for all the offers everyone - I have no doubt you would have helped us out, and I dearly appreciate it . . .

But, PJ, we may be your neighbor for a night. We are booked for a 1 bedroom on the 5th at SSR, we will then move on the 6th to OKW (I do have us waitlisted for OKW). Kind of a PITB, but at least we will have a place to stay - and oh, we probably won't even get there until close to midnight!

I would love to go back to WDW before DD turns 3 in January '08 but I don't see it happening. It is possible we might be able to go early December '07 when you guys are on the cruise. If we do maybe we can meet up the night before? If not Jan '08 then it will probably be early Feb '08 right after DD turns 3. Mid-December - January is off limits as far as my work goes. I am also "pushing it" but going on this cruise. Unfortunately DS also has lots of time he cannot get off due to his work "seasons". Here is when we can't take off:

Mid-Feb - May (DH)
Late August - November (DH)
Mid-December - January (Me)
Early December - iffy for both DH and I but can sometimes be done

That leaves us with the first week of February and June - mid-August. I do not want to go to WDW in the summer and of course it is so much more expensive. I really hate that about our jobs.

DH wanted me to go out and get dinner tonight so we ended up getting take out from Ruby Tuesday. I sooooo wanted to get something not good for me but in the end I did the right thing. I got a Smart Eating Grilled Chicken with broccoli and a tomato/mozzarella salad. The chicken was OK but the broccoli and salad were really good. Of course DD ate half of my broccoli and salad.......

John, I have just been shaking my head at your post. You sound just like me. I feel GREAT empathy for you! Sometimes just hearing about someone like you going through this stuff makes me feel like maybe I am not totally crazy and that many other people go through this... We would have to have a REALLY BIG CAMPFIRE for it to last as long as I think you and I could compare... like the time the girl slipped on grated cement because we were watering the lawn..... Who ever heard of grated cement being slippery...

I am going to have to get DH to book the 12/1/07 cruise. Think of it as really cheap therapy!
