Your DGS is SO gallant! Love it!! I think of your DGS's friend Sam as "not his girlfriend Sam" immediately when you mention her and it always makes me smile because that is what I used to say about DH! He truly wasn't either just my best friend.

LOL! Then you have DS who has 2 dates for the school dance on Friday. He has known both girls since they were in 2 year PS together. He has gone with Hannah since Kindergarten. He talked to Katie on the playground & she said that she wasn't going to the dance with anyone so he asked her. DH told him that he had to tell one of them that he can't take them. Good grief! DS said that they aren't married or anything so they can just go as friends...so it will be a "friend date." He asked me last night if he was going on a double date.

Yes John, all those Warren Jeffs people moved to Texas. We put the rest in jail. We are a mean state about this cause everyone thinks we all have "big love" families. The D.A.'s are sensitive.

Gee, and I thought maybe someday we could move to Utah and "add" to the family . . . You know, I have always wondered, one wife is all I can handle . . . I don't think those guys who think God wanted us to have more than one were thinking straight.

You guys have been there with us with MIL's cancer battle. I got an email this morning that has more bad news. I really do not know how much more she can endure.

Just found out that mom is currently scheduled for surgery on May 7 at
Wake Forest to remove the kidney that she's has been having issues with.
Apparently, it's down to about 20% usage, so they are going to go ahead
and remove it. She is supposed to go at some point next week for all of
the pre-surgery stuff.

We are back at Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast. Dennis is working here 3 days. We brought my mom with us. She and I are doing absolutely nothing today excep maybe a short walk to the lake here in the State Park, just resting. She rode the train to Portland yesterday and we did not get here until about 8 last night so she will need a day to recoup (she is 81) and I of course will enjoy a day of rest also. Tomorrow we plan to visit a few of the beach shops along the Pacific Coast Highway, walk on the beach a little and go to the outlet mall and get some Harry and David's dark chocolate truffles. She was very happy to get to come with us and she commented that she did not go anywhere last year. I told her to hang onto her seat, we just might take her for more rides! She is the cutest lady.

That sounds like a wonderful day, Angie! I am surprised that I haven't fallen asleep yet since I only got 4-5 hours of sleep last night. DS was up with his throat hurting quite a bit. He was up when I got back from taking DD to school though. Maybe if I can force myself to stay awake I will be able to go to bed early tonight. I am thinking that DH can drive to WF to be with his mom on 5/7.

I used the oven in the MH for the first time today! Oatmeal raisin cookies for DrHug when he gets home tonight! He came "home" for lunch and I am glad he did so he could help me figure out how to light the oven.

I remember you mentioned making 2 apple pies and I wondered if you had made them in the MH. I'm very curious how those ovens work?

You are so lucky that you can take those days off and be a Dr. Hug "groupie".
