So kim you are good to go on the Office 2007! woo hoo!

Marielle, nice outing with the troop, our brownies are only allowed to do one outdoory activity per year, the all district camp out. They saved all the camping/hiking for the girl guide years. We did three or four hikes and two camps each year.

Back in the old, old days when DrHug and I were leaders I don't think there were restrictions on how many outings we could do with them. :confused3 Or if there were then we just ignored them. :rolleyes1 We went on a weekend campout with the Brownies and also took them to the mountains for a weekend in the snow every year plus other outings. We did the same with our Junior troup. We just did not think of getting permission to take them on an outing.

The park is absolutely huge, with miles of well-maintained trails. The girls had a great time climbing on rocks, finding walking sticks, etc. We spent about 2.5 hours out there... not sure how far we went; we just enjoyed the walk! It really is amazing that there is such a nice natural area in the city.

It was GREAT outside today! I got a lot of my "Johnny Do" List done. I cleaned out the garage, so that not only do our cars fit inside, but it is nice and clean. All swept out and hosed down. I also finally installed new lighting fixtures that I bought last fall. Our lighting fixtures outside had seen better days. I bought Madera Mission style fixtures for our front porch and garage from Restoration Hardware when they were on sale. Amy got the Mickey Mouse Mission style lights from Disney Direct, and those went on the deck.

Amy says the house now looks like Wilderness Lodge, and all we need is the recording of the crickets.

The only problem is the pole lamp now does not match. I have searched the internet for a match, and while I can find lights that look close, nothing that is an exact match. So I'll keep searching. Can't believe Restoration Hardware doesn't make a pole light :(.

It was beautiful here yesterday. Rain again today and tomorrow----of course, it is the weekend in Oregon! :sad2:

Hello all! PJ I hope that you feel better very soon!!!! :) Today was spent cleaning while DH painted the master bathroom. It is now a pretty sage green. I am going to look for a border to go along the top next week.

It is so sad that the Blue Angels crashed today. :( They are suppose to be here in two weeks for the air show but they may cancel.

Watching the funeral for Clark today was so sad. The band members went to GA to play there.

A 15 yo collasped during PE class Friday near here. :( There is no where to go and get away from the sadness this week.

I have been working on the scrapbooks for the kid's birthdays. I have to upload more pictures to snapfish so that I can order them & keep going. So far DS is up to 5 and DD is up to 3...so not too bad. LOL! I have a few more years of holidays to do too. A few of the pictures are pre digital camera so I have to scan the pictures first. Once I get these books caught up I can start attacking the books for this cruise. :)

Hey there Angie! Need some advise. Coldwater creek has my cart with $570 worth of clothes for $95. Should I hit enter? It has a dress, 4 skirts, and 3 shirts. This is after 25 off 100....code is PLA3120 in case you were wondering. ;)

The local morning DJ that I listen to was commenting on how many awful things have happened in April. Oklahoma City bombing, Waco, Columbine High shootings, now all this. :sad2: I think he mentioned a couple more too that I can't think of right now.

See that, Sweetie? Angie made me do it. ;) Actually, I need the skirts. I got rid of the office type dresses & suits last year that I had for 10 years or more. It was time to update my wardrobe. Now I just need to lose this weight so that the rest of what I have fits better. I am also getting another 4% back because I shopped thru ebates. :)

I think that Friday was Hitler's birthday.

Amy just bought a whole bunch of jewelry from there, for like 80% off.

Oldest DGS17 is on his first official date tonight. He is taking his not a girlfriend Sam to the prom. He looked so handsome in his tux and her dress was WOW! They are sure they will be the hottest couple there. :lmao: :lmao: Her boyfriend broke up with her just about a month ago, after all the prom plans had been made. Dope! So, DGS stepped in and is escorting her. I know they will have a great time and the old boyfriend will probably :scared1: :sad2: :sad1: when he sees how great she looks in that dress. :thumbsup2 I will have Dennis post a photo soon.

How nice Angie. Aren't those times just great?

BTW Angie, thinking about what you posted the other day, make sure before you come out our way you give us notice - I say because I want to take some time off to spend with you guys, Amy says so she can clean the house (or was that so I can clean the house?).

I was just thinking how great it will be if you guys can come and visit. You can also let me know in advance what you want to see around here . . . Rock and Roll Hall is only an hour away (never been there!) Football Hall ten minutes from our house. Amish country and good food just a half hour away. Cedar Point (amusement park) two hours away. Lots and lots of other things - Ohio is really a great place - especially in nice weather!

Can't wait to see the pictures! :goodvibes

The outlet is having a fantastic sale right now! I hope that she had the code to save $25.

She says she did not spend $100. She got this stuff really cheap. Showed me an $89 neclace she got for like $7.99.

John1, pulling up in your drive and surpising you with the DCL horn is just a fantasy! ;) We would never go to anyone's without letting them know. We definately plan to come there after retirement. Seeing all those things in all the wonderful states we have not been able to visit is our goal. All of those things you mentioned are on our list. So we will need to plan (key word there!) several days in that area to see it all. Dennis would love, love, love the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and of course the Football also. We also would love to see the Amish country. Roller coasters! We are all over that one!!

Just an Fyi . . . if you plan it to make it here over the Football HOF weekend, you can attend the whole week of celebration stuff. Balloon Festival, Food Festival, Ribs Burnoff, concerts, fireworks, of course the enshrinement, and if tickets are available, a football game too . . . Usually the first or second week in August.
