Lisa, I seriously think I either killed the thread and everyone is way mad, or I have just stunned them into silence...

It is erie!

I am glad you thought it was funny! I don't feel quite so wierd now.
Got to go find out what kim wrote, :rolleyes1

I
Savannah went to 3 easter egg hunts and one at home. The one at work is the most astounding thing I do all year. We spend $1000 on easter candy and toys for the kids of our employees. The only rule is when your bucket is full and overflowing and your pockets are full, you are done. What a riot that is! All other hunts are no biggy for her if she doesnt get anything, which happens a lot, you know, non aggressive, then she is still ok.

Savannah wants me to post these.:laundy: :happytv: :surfweb: :lmao:

It's very easy to spend $1000 on candy these days isn't it? Even the economy size bags of Hershey, Nestle etc. stuff is really expensive. I'm always surprised at Halloween too how much it costs to make bags for the kids classrooms.

I think if the kids don't get eggs at an egg hunt then the hunt is not run right. The town of Woodstock does this - last time we went my kids were close to the oldest in the category (1-5) and they still didn't get anything. Jaea started to cry and one of the organizers ran around and found all sorts of candy and surprises for her but Giona didn't get anything because he didn't cry.

Your company event sounds wonderful, Kim. Kind of like WDW in Utah.

Lisa, we are wondering how our William is doing.

William says that he shook my shoulder during the night because his hand hurt but I didn't wake up. Sunday night I believe it happened and DH got up with him to put him back to bed. I think that the pain meds were making him have weird dreams last night. He went to school this morning and I told him to call me if it hurt too badly. If he lasted past 11:30 it wouldn't count as an absence. He had the nurse call me at 1. He is now sleeping upstairs. He keeps saying that the cast it too heavy. Good thing it isn't a full fledged cast because I am guessing that would be even worse. If it still hurts tomorrow, I will call his doctor and have him checked out. So, considering what he has been thru...I think that he is doing pretty good. He wrote with his left hand today but didn't like how sloppy it was. His teacher told me not to worry about having him finish everything tonight.

Oh, and BTW Kim, I went to bed at 9:00 last night - think I am coming down with something . . . probably ONE reason why things were so quiet.

And . . . I will post it over here - since I saw it here and there . . .

weird . . . not wierd . . . an exception to i before e except after c. :rotfl2:

and eerie . . . unless you meant the lake!

(sorry, can't help myself)

ooh i hate that when I do that. I was watching that funny show where they walk into a room ....

I hope you feel better!

Lisa, when William wakes please tell him that we love him and are praying that he gets better really fast.

thanks for updating us Lisa - absolutely stay on top of it. and they should be giving him adequate pain medication. try also giving him a glass of milk before bedtime if his diet allows - it helps you sleep a little longer.

try to put his mind at ease about the schoolwork -his teacher can help with that - maybe he will sleep better. Is he on an anti-biotic as well, post surgery?

he is probably still adjusting to the weight of the cast - they are pretty heavy if it goes to the elbow.

thank goodness you had expert medical help right at the party. You would think they have some way of expediting a child in the emergency room. This is my worst nightmare with Ken travelling all the time.

Did everyone read about Jonny Depp's daughter - she stepped on a rusty nail - got bacterial infection - blood poisoning and now needs a kidney transplant and dialysis. I was sick when I read this and then Giona showed me a hole in the side of his hand and a puffy palm and says he doesn't know how it happened.

I am watching the Indians beat the Angels 7-3, in a Milwaukee, which is a home game . . .

You read that right, an Indians home game in Milwaukee.

With the terrible weather and snow in Cleveland, and after the entire Mariners series was cancelled, they moved the entire Angels series to Milwaukee because of the dome (with the Brewers out of town).

$10 a seat, first come, first served for seating.

I REALLY wanted to go (had tickets for tonight's game in Cleveland).

Problem was, 8 hour drive, or $1000 last minute airfare.

Slider goes down the slide in a home run instead of Bernie Brewer.

The Italian Sausage just won the sausage race.

And they have over 19,000 fans there!

I saw that something was wrong with his DD but not what it was. How terrible! :( When I was in the work study program before my freshman year in college, I worked in the maintenance department painting the dorms and replacing the wooden covers for the a/c and around the windows. One day I was painting and stepped back and heard a weird noise. I stepped back again & looked down to see that a board was moving with my foot. I then focused on my foot & saw the nail sticking out of the top of my sneaker. OMG! It didn't hurt and I figured that didn't belong there so I stepped on the board & pulled my foot off of the nail. OUCH!!!! Went to the hospital for a shot to make sure it would be ok but everything worked out.

When I changed DS's dressings tonight I was surprised to see that his hand is still very puffy around the base of his thumb. I thought that it would be down by now. There isn't any yucky discharge from the hole though...so maybe it is ok. I am going to stop by the office and talk to a nurse after taking the kids to school to make sure. The ER discharge paperwork says that they are just providing care to make things ok until you can get to a doctor to be checked out. YIKES!

If I had seen a nail sticking out of the top of my sneaker, I think I would have :faint:

I also think that if it did not hurt then, I would have pried the board out and went to the hospital with my foot attached to the board and asked for serious pain meds before I was separated from the board.

I think you need to go on Survivor or Fear Factor or something like that Lisa!

LOL! :) I don't think that I was thinking clearly when I pulled my foot off of the board & nail. I just thought that it didn't hurt then so get it off.

I know sometimes you just don't feel the pain right away.

I was slicing mat board for a display and the exacto knife skipped over the straight edge and up my finger....

I think i saw the blood before it registered that i sliced my finger....

Hurt didn't come into play until much later....

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I don't even know if I am legal (I got rid of my OSU flag)!

I thought it was cool, but Peter still needs a mustache, and if you can be a champagne girl, why can't I be the leader of the "lost beer boys"?

Cool new logo John :thumbsup2 I need to come up with something like that too.

Now cover the eyes of all the little ones in the group. We have finally confessed that the easter bunny is actually a PR front for the Easter Vulture. You see, The Easter Vulture is very generous, loving, giving and enjoys children but vultures get bad press. So, he uses a bunny as his front to be more engaging to children. DD took it pretty well. Go figure.

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

Becka,
Where are you staying?

We 're in Atlanta too in June (8-10) for our seminary graduation. I'm not sure where we're staying yet.

Maybe we can have a mini-meet.
