So I was still stewing abit this morning about how that attorney tried to make all the VA employees look like incompetent dolts. I talked to another guy who testified yesterday and he said the attorney kept trying to make him say the guy was small only about 120 lbs, yada, yada.... He was not, he was a big guy that was very threatening. So, I took a look in the records, called our attorney and told him there was a note WITH weight just days prior that showed 197 lbs. Needless to say, he wanted that note, introduced it in evidence, had me contact the nurse that wrote it and got her over to the courthouse this afternoon to testify as well. Then he called me and asked if he had told me today that I am THE BEST! I told him he had not yet, but that it is nice to hear. :thumbsup2

:sad2: So...it's been a tough week, just got reamed by a doc :sad1:. I don't work tomorrow :dance3: , it is only a 2 hour drive to the coast where my honey is  , I see no reason to go home, so I'M GOING TO SPEND THE NIGHT WITH DENNIS! :woohoo: :woohoo: I just called him and asked him if he would like a bed partner tonight and he said well yes, but that means he will need to get rid of the other one. :rolleyes1 I told him to do that and I will meet him for dinner, pack up his stuff for him in the morning after he leaves for work.

Angie...so many highs and lows this week at work. :( Glad that you are ending the week on a high note. :)

Thanks for the :grouphug:. We are much better.

I bought my DW a new piece of software and she has been playing with it nonstop. Here is one of "Kreations":

Way to go!!!! I think the VA should make you a counter offer so you don't retire early. Double or nothing. ;)

Very cool picture Brack and Annette! :)

I am sure the weather is messed up for almost everyone here but they are saying we could get 3 inches of SNOW tomorrow. :sad2: It is APRIL not February!!!! I can't believe how strange the weather is. The bad thing is that when this cold snap finally ends we will probably be in the 90s. We will just miss spring entirely and go straight to summer. :(

It looks like we will at least have a quiet weekend. No real plans just want to spend some time at home, maybe get some extra rest and of course there is always a million things that need to be done at home.....I might even get one or two of them done. ;)

I have really been getting into planning our WDW trip. I will be able to make our ADR's next month so we have been trying to figure out where we wanted to eat. I have been looking over menus trying to find a good mix of places that sound good but also have things that might be able to be slighly modified for DS. We will be trying mostly places that we have not been in the past. So far on my list I have Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner at WL, Storybook Princess Lunch in Norway @ Epcot, Hollywood & Vine Playhouse Disney lunch @ MGM, Crystal Palace lunch @ MK and Boma. The only one we have been to in the past is Boma. I need to pick at least one more lunch or dinner but I don't know what I want to do just yet. I am leaning towards either Coral Reef @ Epcot or Kona Cafe @ Poly.

We also decided that rather than going to the Aquarium in Atlanta I think we are just going to get to Orlando a day earlier and add a day at SeaWorld. I just hope that it won't be too busy the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It really sounds like it will be a great place for the kids...I think they will love it. :)

I hope everyone is doing well and I will check in later. :wave2:

I'm home and we had a very nice, although short, evening. I met DrHug at my favorite casino restaurant at 7:30, watched the sun go into the clouds over the ocean waves (no beautiful sunset as the clouds were too thick), had my favorite dinner - coconut, rum, butter prawns with grilled baby red potatoes and only made a "contribution" of a quick $7 in the slots on the way out. I went straight from work so I was without any of my "stuff". Dennis was :scared1: how can I not have any stuff?? Nope, no problem, I'll just brush my teeth when I get home. I will survive that! :lmao: Anyway, nice evening and I'm glad I made the drive. I left at 9:30 this morning and got back home around 11. Now back to reality.

I spent the day in Federal Court as a witness today. My first experience at that and hopefully my last. I have not P****d anybody off too much in the past 2 years so hopefully I will be retired and out of there before this ever happens again. Sept of 2003 I had this really angry, really unreasonable man in my office who would not stop shouting at me and I told him I'd have to leave if he did not sit down and let me help him. He got madder and stormed out, slammed a door OPEN so hard that the wall was damaged. :scared: Of course the VA police were called and they tried to talk with him, but he swung his cane at them (he had a broken leg) and they used pepper spray and then it took 4 officers to get him on the ground. He then went to the emergency room. His SO stayed with me when he blew out of there and I escorted her to the ER when we were told that he had been pepper sprayed and taken to the ER. Well, now he is suing us (took almost 4 years to get this to court) saying I should have done more to quiet him, I should have told the SO to go with him as the VA police were going to be involved :confused3 and the VA police are bad guys who were way to forceful with a "poor old man." HMMMM 57 year old who broke his leg riding an ATV and is then swinging a cane baseball bat style at the police is NOT a poor old man in my book. Sheesh, I was at the Federal Courthouse all day and finally went on the stand at 2:30. Their attorney really tried to make me look incompetent. So, I hope I did ok. I think I will call the VA attorneys tomorrow and see what they think. The girlfriend testified that she saw them take him down and my testimony was in direct conflict with that since she was with me and I did NOT see the interactions with the police. So, either she or I is lying. No jury, just the judge will decide the case. I really hope he looses this as we all were really just doing what we could to help him and he was totally out of control. It gave me a headache! :headache: I just came home afterwards. I did not feel like going back to the office for another hour and a half.

And to top it off, Dennis is at the coast working for three days. I could have been with him if not for this silliness. And he is not here to give me a hug when I need it. :guilty: :grouphug:

Angie, from someone who has done this. BIG HUGE HUMUNGOUS HUGS!!!!!!! REALLY REALLY BIG HUGE!

I have eaten at Coral Reef 2x recently and I'm sure your kids would enjoy it. Kona cafe is GREAT but nothing there for kids. Coral Reef is very pretty, beautifully designed but the aquarium is fun for the kids. There was a proposal when I was there in Feb.

Sea World never seems crowded to me. It is a wonderful park and all the shows are FUN. We love the pet show and the mini-Cirque type show. Of course the Shamu and dolphin shows are great too. If you are going to pass on one, I would skip the seal show.

You know that they have a deal at Sea World that you can return for a second day within the next 7 days either for free or some very nominal amount of money. It's great to use this second day on the way to the airport because even if you only go for 2 hours or so it is worth it. You have to wait in line on the way out and get your pic taken for the return pass so it can be a little bit of a hassle but if you leave time for it and understand you might have to wait in line - it's a good deal.

When you get a kids meal at Sea World you get a Shamu shaped plastic lunch container that is kind of cute and a nice free souvie.

It sounds like you are planning a great trip!!!

Thank you, Kim. It was way more stressful than I thought it would be. Heck, I've been called all kind of names at work (SAPOS was one of my favorites---Sorry A** Piece of T-shirt that is:lmao: ) and not let it get to me, but this was not fun!

We're at camp for two days and I am trying out our brand new broadband internet connection. It is working really nice. No more dial up on one phone line! :woohoo:

We leave here today to travel to Norfolk for a baby dedication tomorrow. It's our adopted grandchild who is 100% adopted now! :thumbsup2
