Well, the rates out of here would be way too expensive for us to fly to FL....so that is out. ;)

I can't remember if I posted this or not but we are at the 30 person mark for the CM tour with David. I am waiting to hear back from him before adding anyone else to our group. I want to make sure that I don't overbook the bus. I know that I don't want to have DD on my lap for an hour trip each way. ;)

Lisa- have Kaitlyn email Sophia. Sophia loves to fly she can tell her all about it! She always has to sit by the window.

I will do that! IDK why she is getting so upset about it. We have never really talked about flying since it hasn't been something we have had to consider.

We were selected for extra searches already. My son even had to take his shoes off and be checked. He had just turned 2 at the time. It is a pain but it is an unfortunate fact that there are crazy people out there. I would rather have people checked than let anything get onto the plane.

Well I guess I will head to bed early. I have to go to class tomorrow morning. :wave2:

Lisa, I am like William, have to seat at the window, and I like to be over the wing. I need to keep an eye on the wing, make sure it stays on. I know an unreasonable thought, that a wing might fall off, but it makes me feel better. Plus on Jetblue from row 11 back you get an extra two inches leg room, seems like nothing but it really makes a difference.

ROFL! He wants to be able to watch the wing flaps & see what he thinks he will on the ground. LOL!

I think that he is very much like his daddy...wants to know how everything works. I think that he would love to fly with DH one day. DH will fly out to CA to take a seminar by the NTSB about crashes...then get back on a plane to come home. I just couldn't do that.

I don't like the wing - it blocks your view looking down! ;)

Since we fly with a 6 yr old, I never get that window seat anymore, and I could stare out it the whole flight. I'm just like a kid on an airplane, amazed that it works, and constantly looking down and around. Love the clouds, love trying to pick out landmarks, and REALLY like spotting other planes - which really gives you a realistic idea of how fast you are flying.

Last time on our approach to Orlando, we could see where we were heading to line up for landing, and I could watch the other planes marching forward in procession to land at the airport. Then we made the big circle, and it was our turn.

As a kid I really wanted to be a pilot or an astronaut! Don't know how I ended up in Law School instead :confused3 - not nearly as much fun.

John

Lisa,

Too bad you're not doing EPCOT while we are at WDW - we could get you on 'Soarin! :woohoo:

Time to get to bed - long day at work.

John

Oh, I would like that. I know that you aren't really that high up & don't have that far to fall. ;)

John and Lisa, I am a strange bird, I love flying even if it hurts my ears, I just suck on a candy. I love everything about getting on a plane, the airport, the drive there, the getting on the plane, the take off and bumps. The only thing that bugs me is the decent as that is when my ears hurt. But I sit just in front of the wing, so I can see down and keep an eye on the wing, lol. One must make sure they are still way up in the air, lol.

Lisa - Your DD may find she loves flying. Hopefully it will be clear, and you can try to find landmarks below. Have you looked at any of the flight tracker sites - you can enter your flight a few days before and watch as it actually goes to your destination.

I love flying - good thing, because it is a long drive to FL and I do not like cars.

I will be praying for no air pockets. DS asked where the bathrooms are on the plane. Ahhh....we will only be on the plane for an hour each time and I don't get out of my seat. I told him that we will use the ones in the airport before we board. ;)

Well, goodnight all! I am going to take something & go to bed. It has been a rough day. When DH came home he was greeted at the door by DS who had just come downstairs & gotten dressed so that he could leave & find a new family. Wasn't he surprised when DH opened the door before he could turn the knob. :lmao: I guess that I was stressed because after dinner DH rubbed my shoulders while DD rubbed my feet. :) DS has decided to stick around tonight because of the rain that is expected here tonight. I have been enjoying the CMA show. Some of my favorites were on!

I haven't flown in about 8 years. I have no idea what to expect with security nowadays. I'm not really looking forward to it.

Just got off the phone with DCL and the pre-paid tips offer in addition to the 10% and $250 OBC is being offered on both the east and west bound transatlantic. DCL will rebook an exisiting reservation on board but will use the current rate. So, check before hand to be sure that this will be a good deal for you. In my case, the price of the east bound repo has not gone up and hopefully it will stay that way until Oct!

This is what I read about it.

YIKES! I just bought the tickets for us to go up to Baltimore to see DH graduation. My palms are sweating! I haven't been on a plane since 8/01. :(

Lisa- Did you guys ever set up a Baltimore meet? I've been so behind in reading the posts. Not sure I can make it, but let me know the details if you have a meet set up.

...and good luck with the flight!!

Well...I'm caught up...you guys are unbelievably chatty.

Hey Lisa - are you sure the thread hasn't broken at least one boad record for # of posts in one night?

With the new job and traveling, I haven't been on the main board lately, let alone even this thread - so what is the deal with the tips for future trips? Guess I need to venture over there.

See - no one is ever awake to play at the few moments in the AM when I can chat.

Oh well - Happy Tuesday everyone.
