Lisa, how traumatic for you and DD. However, if you would have been here on the boards where you belong instead of off to the library this never would have happened, right? ;)

Yeah, this motherhood thing gets in the way sometimes. DS finished all of the books that we got last week & three of the ones he had requested were in so I kind of had to do something. ;)

We had this silly bird last summer that would come and peck on DGS's bedroom window every morning. He hated that bird because he is a teenager and loves to sleep in. Well, guess what!! I heard the little bugger pecking again this morning! :lmao: :rotfl2: It is loud enough that I can hear it with DGS's door shut across the hall from the computer room. :rotfl: He started in around 8 am that I heard.

I think that I would have to invest in a bb gun or maybe some kind of more gentle bird killer. Sorry...but that would drive me nuts!!! :furious: We hvae the doves some days but now that the ac is on, I don't hear them as much.

Lisa, I locked my own thumb in the car door at my niece's baptismal. I didn't have the keys, Mom did and she had already walked away. I didn't lose the nail, but it had a really colourful bruise for several months. I did have to have the pressure under the nail relieved, by my doctor though.

pj

OUCH!!! Thank goodness they don't need any further attention. IDK how far they were in there...just the middle three so not too far since the pinkie wasn't caught as well. DD just showed them to me & said...remember when you smooshed my fingers in the door. :rolleyes1 I can just picture the email she sends DH today.

OMG!! :lmao: I am laughing so hard. DD12 wants to know what is so funny and I tried to explain that she wouldn't understand. But she insisted on seeing for herself and read a post. :rolleyes2 "ok mom, real funny." I tried to tell her! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That would be a good idea if we did not live in the county we live in. Just last month they arrested - yes ARRESTED - a 13 yo boy for killing a snake he found that was already injured. His parents told him they were not taking a snake to the vet and to just take it outside and put it out of its misery. A couple of neighbor girls saw him kill it (smashed its head), told their daddy who called the police, who arrested him and our local District Attorney charged him with FELONY animal abuse. :furious: It took his parents and the attorney they had to hire over 30 days to get the charges dropped. 30 days of incredible stress for the child and parents. :sad2: Of course the letters to the editor of the local newspaper are coming in since it hit the paper. Are we at risk of arrest for killing the moles and gophers that are tearing up our yard? I am sure they would not look kindly on shooting a bird for pecking my window. :sad2: Really crazy we think.

And this! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Dag 40 Sec!! Cute Lisa, real cute! ;)

I'm sorry Lisa...I was laughing so hard I almost forgot about your DD. Luckily it wasn't too bad. My sister shut the car door on her DD one time and she still has a scar on her head to remind her fairly often after, um, about 16 years!!!

Angie, we're going to have to send you :car: somewhere. I don't want you to get lost or anything and to be unable to post!! :rolleyes1

We had a bird here a few years ago that would run into the window over and over and over again all morning, everyday in the summer! it didn't matter if we chased it away, it would just come back! The worst part was the bird snot it left! :crazy2: :headache:

I'm wondering if they thought he might be one to grow up to be a serial killer or something. You know what they say about kids who hurt small animals!! Geez,,,didn't they take the time to listen to the story?? :sad2: He seemed to have been just trying to put the poor thing out of its misery.

Nope, did not listen and I think that is what has everyone so upset. The officer didn't listen to the parents who tried to tell him that the snake was injured and they told son to kill it to be merciful. :sad2:

That darn bird came back 2 years in a row!!!
That's what I thought was so funny. DGS thought he was done with that stupid bird when winter came, but he's BACK!! :lmao: Hopefully ours will only be here two years also.

You know, it is Friday. I wonder if the pirate ship is at CC today? I don't think there are any live reports going!?!?!

Checked, there is. :)

Hopefully because the charges were eventually dropped it will go away. Does put him on the radar screen though.
