I have trouble searching in general. Sometimes it will work just fine and other times it gives me trouble! Ya just never know!

I second that about the "pin info". Where do you find them? I spent about $100 on pins for DD on her first trip to Disneyland. I picked all of her favorites. She never wanted to trade any of them and has not for 3 years. Live and learn....

Hi Brandi and Becka! I'm around but at work so I have to be discreet.

I've gotten so many e-mails from subscribed threads and the cruise meet that I finally made a new e-mail address just for disboards.

Becka,
I bet you and your family are going to look fantastic on formal night, even in your regular dinner clothes.

I've backed myself into a corner by getting DD a good formal and DH a tux. Now I can't find anything for me and it's driving me crazy. I want to dress up because I won't have another opportunity for years and years. So, I want the dress to be great!

My Mom found me something from her theater costume closet but I feel a little old for hand me downs. And, I need to lose 15 lbs or buy really slimming underwear to pull it off.

We don't trade the ones we buy either since we buy ones we want and like. We do trade some of the freebies we get from DVC with CMs and pick up some cool pins that way.

I'm sure you have already looked on line, right? Spiegels, JC Penny, Sears, lots of sites that have formal wear for not too much $$.

DH will wear his suit and I am going to be looking for a nice new dress but I don't think I can pull off the whole sequined gown thing. :rotfl: I am Pooh-sized and it takes me a while to find something I like.

I hope to find a cute Cinderella dress for DD for Halloween and if I do I might just use that as her formal night attire. I will probably look for a cute Mickey tie for DS but I doubt I will buy him a suit unless I stumble across one for real cheap. I think just dress pants, button down shirt and the tie will be formal enough for a 4 year old.

I am in my BF's wedding in September. I kept telling her that she better pick a nice gown for the matron of honor because I want to wear it for formal night! I love the dress and I am thrilled that I will get to wear it more than once!

Is this about that Elphie person on the formal night threads? I first thought it was a serious thread just to have a place for those of us not thrilled about formal night to have a discussion but after I posted I realized it was just one of these :stir: .

I really prefer that there not be a formal night but we will dress appropriately (although not quite at a full tux level) because I don't want to risk missing AP since that is one of DS's highlights from our last cruise and he is really looking forward to it. Just because I don't like it does not mean that I will dress inappropriately if we do attend. If we don't have AP that night we may just skip the dining room in the end so we don't offend anyone.

Becka, you really will be fine in the dining rooms without fully dolling up. Just a dress shirt and tie for hubby, nice outfit for you and it is really fun to deck out the kids and can be done fairly reasonably by getting stuff on sale. Which is important if they won't use them much. Christmas outfits should be out well before we leave. DrHug has worn a tux several times, but we are thinking of just taking a dark suit this time.

DH wore a black suit on the first 2 cruises. This trip he will be wearing a tux. I also got a tux for DS. I can't wait to see my two men all studded up!!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1: :cloud9:

Hi Becka! I noticed in an earlier post you moved your cabin to 2608, we are in 2606. On the manifest I am listed as "Castlepizie" but I am really "Castlepixie". I certainly can understand a typo with as much work as Lisa has done :) We are wearing tea-length dresses (Black) and DH will wear a black suit. Those slimming underwear sound good!

The stuff I've heard of is called Spanx Shapewear and evidently you have to watch where the extra fluff goes. :rotfl: Or, you'll end up looking like a mushroom!

Slimming under garments are amazing! I take any little bit of help I can!!! :crowded:

Nice to "meet" you! :wave2: I noticed on the manifest that we were now neighbors. I think it will be fun to have DIS neighbors but then again if my kids are being loud then I will feel extra bad. It is easier to bother your neighbors when you don't have to see them later. ;) Are you guys deep sleepers...do you like to sleep in? Unfortunately my little ones are early risers and while on vacation they will sleep in a little about 7:30 is as late as they go.

I am afraid there is not a slimming undergarmet they make in this world that would help me! :)
