I am loving it John!!! :) I do have a question though. The only way to charge it is to plug it into a computer right? I am guessing that you can't just use one of the computers on the ship? I don't think that this will last 3 weeks.

Good Morning!

Wrong . . .

You can buy a USB charger that plugs into the wall. I have a decent one made by Belkin. About $30. I think they have them at Target, I KNOW they have them at Best Buy or Circuit City. You can also order online. Apple makes one too, available online. Just look in the iPod section for chargers, and no, I doubt it will last three weeks!

OK guys, this is a REAL story on MSNBC today. Perhaps explains the obsession some have had with getting us men snipped. Must be a natural obsession of the female sex . . .

What I really want to know, is what obsessed these Germans to study this?

BERLIN - A new study by German scientists of spiders' copulation techniques found that males leave part of their sex organ inside their female partner as a sort of "chastity belt" to deter rivals.

"By breaking off parts of their intromittent organs inside a virgin female, males can reduce sperm competition and thereby increase their paternity success," the Bonn University researchers wrote in the journal Behavioral Ecology.

After setting the tone by shaking the female's web, the male has only seconds to have sex before the larger female kills him. In over 80 percent of cases, the tip of the male's genital organ breaks off inside the female.

This appears to be the result of a hasty getaway — but also leaves behind a sort of chastity belt that keeps other males away, the study showed.

Angie - have you taken a shower yet in the new motorhome - just wondering is it bigger than the one on the Magic?

We have not. We are still struggling with trying to figure out how to get the bleach water into the holding tank to sanitize the system. Both the owner's manual and our taking care of your RV book say we need to do this, but neither tells us how. :confused3 DD was :rotfl: at us trying to use a funnel and hose, problem is without pressure it just fills the hose and then stops at the intake. :crazy2: We will figure it out today though hopefully. We have a call in for the service dept at the dealer for guidance. The funnel and hose is what our salesman said he does with his, but :confused3 didn't work for us. The shower is a bit more roomy than the ones on the ship. It is probably about the same sq ft, but is triangle shaped - sort of - instead of rectangle so more elbow room, but no tub. It does have a small bench you could sit a child on to shower them and the shower head is on flexible tubing so you can take it down off the wall. Did that make sense? :confused3

And while you are at Target looking for the charger, you will find many, many more things that you absolutely need. :rotfl: Speakers you can put it in for when you are stationary and don't want to use the earphones, a Hello Kitty alarm clock/docking station (bought 2 of these, one for DGS :worried: and one for great niece), a carrying case (they have several kinds - I have one that straps on my arm so I can move about cleaning etc., DrHug's hooks on his belt), and the list will go on and on. :rolleyes2

John - I got what you said...and you know. Even though it is a long way off, I just don't see myself as fitting it over there. IDK....

I don't feel well today. I have a meeting at noon to go over one of the clinical depts financials...not looking forward to it as we are still in the middle of close. Oh well. American Idol is on tonight...whoo hoo...!

Yikes PJ!

TORONTO - Police closed several major Toronto streets Monday after huge slabs of ice started skidding off skyscrapers in the city's downtown core.

Roads closed to traffic included parts of the Gardiner Expressway, an elevated freeway that leads to downtown Toronto, causing major traffic snarls during the morning rush hour.

"Current weather conditions are presenting safety concerns," a police statement said. "The closures will remain in effect as long as there is a danger to public safety."

CP-24 television showed pictures of cars with smashed windshields and said witnesses reported seeing ice slabs "the size of a kitchen table" skidding off buildings like the CN Tower, dubbed the world's tallest free-standing structure.

Toronto, Canada's largest city, has faced a combination of snow and thaw over the last few days. A winter storm last Thursday dumped several centimeters of snow on the city, and then a night of rain turned that snow into icy porridge.

Then the weather turned cold again, and the porridge turned back to ice, which started melting in Monday's morning sun.

Angie... you and Dennis need to rent the movie RV w/Robin Williams and watch the first hour of the movie....

Like Angie said, I think we have to accept that it just won't be the same, be glad that we have the part of our original group that we do, and make the best of it. Just not as much fun though . . .

Hope your day goes OK V!

This IS a really special group.

I don't know how people on another thread could understand all the inside jokes... I don't even understand some of them since I didn't actively post until the month before the cruise.... I still don't understand the chicken pot pie thing....

Joy,
I'm guessing that, since you're in California, you'll never understand chicken pot pie. :)
A small, but vocal, minority knows that chicken pot pie is a PA Dutch dish with no crust. A chicken pie (no pot, of course), is the pie with chicken, veggies and gravy inside a crust. Simple, right?

Yeah, we have a LOT of California people on our Repo, and the chicken pot pie thing is just about as foreign as it gets for them. ALL they know is Stouffers frozen, so of course it has a crust. I tried to stir that debate, and only got as far as the frozen food aisle . . .

I keep thinking of that picture you took at the beach Marielle - priceless.

Yep, caused lots of problems yesterday morning. Sheet that were about 10x5 were falling of the CN tower on to one of our expressways, hit the guardrail next to one of my co-workers (our head apple sevice tech.) Ah, but this time we did not call out the Army. Although there are still about 10,000 homes without power, due to falling limbs.

The sewer disposal part was the best......

I was running scared at that point, lol.

We had a 12x40 trailer with a 12x35 deck (ready for an add-on california room) at a park about an hour away. Never had to deal with the sewage thing, we had a guy we did that stuff for us at the beginning and end of each year.

We sold if after our fourth trip to Disney in three years, we figured out that bugs and yard work were not for us. And that we would be better invested in DVC. Turned out that a couple of trips to WDW were not enough to cured me, or DM, of the WDW bug. See I went in 1976 with my parents and brother, then DDad keep making promises that we would go again, never happened until 2000, after he had passed away. Grandma sent us after she left us, put it in the will, "go on a vacation together." So we did.

Sorry to ramble. But the trailer is how we got started back in Disney.

Well, to me, chicken pot pie has a top crust... bottom crust optional. I don't do Stouffers... I like to cook from scratch - just don't always have the time.

I have never used the term "chicken pie"... that's a new one :)

yeah, in California, we usually just grill all year-round instead... and of course, then there's the debate about calling it "grilling" vs. "barbecuing".

I really don't like that new uniform, so I'm glad I don't have to see it in Carolina blue. I mean, there are baggy shorts... and then there's a full skirt. I think you could give those shorts the girly "spin and twirl" test to see how far out they fly.

The bottoms I can handle but I REALLY do not like the tops! :crazy2:

Also .......

Tarheel Ladies ACC Champions!
:woohoo: :hyper:
