This thread was like trying to cook those live lobsters in the pot. We had a great time, and laughed a lot together. Being on another thread without all of you guys (while the people can be very nice) is like trying to recreate that lobster pot with another girl. It just isn't the same.

I really don't like that new uniform, so I'm glad I don't have to see it in Carolina blue. I mean, there are baggy shorts... and then there's a full skirt. I think you could give those shorts the girly "spin and twirl" test to see how far out they fly.

Or the Marilyn Monroe standing over the air thing blowing up the shorts!
:rotfl2:

Thought of you guys yesterday Marielle when NC was playing Dook. Sophia's godfather is a big NC fan (not sure why - never went there - probably because they usually have a great team). Anyway, we went to their house for dinner last night and Mike had the game on.

Good night guys, I am getting sleepy.

Have a great evening and a good morning wherever you all are!

So how many of you guys have seen the movie Annie Hall?

There is a great scene in that movie, where Woody Allen has Diane Keaton over for dinner, and he tries to cook live lobster in a pot. It is a hilarious scene. They end up laughing and having a good time. Later on in the movie, he has a date with another girl, and while she is nice, he tries to re-create the lobster scenario . . . and it just doesn't work. She doesn't think it is funny at all, and kind of looks at him like he is a nut.

I have to say good night, too; I'm running out of battery power on the laptop and the cord is downstairs.... it's been fun! I'm glad you enjoyed the bunny ears story. It will become a family legend, I'm sure. And I had to be the mean mom and punish her for getting a strike at school!

I am loving it John!!! :) I do have a question though. The only way to charge it is to plug it into a computer right? I am guessing that you can't just use one of the computers on the ship? I don't think that this will last 3 weeks.

Hey guys!!

Lisa - glad you guys made it through the storm and congrats to Mike on the promotion.

Becka - hope you got out those bonuses....!! And your headache went away.

Todd - glad you were able to meet family and make your peace.

John & Amy - keeping warm are you?

Kim - ARE YOU NUTS? Hope you are doing better....MUCH better.

We just got back from ESPN "THE" Weekend....what a good time. We spent Friday and Saturday at MGM and got autographs from:

Steve Smith (Carolina Panthers)
Ben Roethlisberger
Herschel Walker
Dave Robinson
Sheryl Swoops
Mike Metzger
Howie Schwab
John Kruk
Mark Schlereth --- HOT!
Sal Palentonio (had on a Yacht Club jacket)
Killer - #31 from the Harlem Globetrotters - AKA the "Mickey Head Guy"

and.....

Quincy - from Little Einsteins of course, and the Green Army Man and Pink (she rocks) Power Ranger....:)

Hands down, Mike Metzger is the most approachable, most friendly and just down to earth guy. We saw him and his family last year...he is always with his wife and two children....and he will stay just that bit longer to give an autograph or picture. And is extremely well spoken. We did notice the older the athelete -- or more seasoned - the more time they took or spoke with the fans. What ruined things were the guys with bags of balls, helmets, etc. When most guys saw that, they immediatley left. We did see Vinateri take some batting practice and throw some footballs with the kids... very cute.....was lots of fun, Friday was much much better than Sat.

Today we went to AK...and Samantha rode Everest for the first time..."mom, can we go again?" was all I heard. We also saw the new Nemo musical...it was FANTASTIC....really really good...even though the wait is a bit rough and the show is a good 40 minutes.

Loading some pics now....

I hope you had the most wonderful time! Sounds like a blast!

Perfection can never be recreated. We just have to enjoy the rest for what they are and try not to compare to the perfect group. But, hey, the good news is that we have parts of this perfect group on several upcoming cruises. :thumbsup2

We microwaved some popcorn and watched a bit of tv out in the motorhome tonight. Gotta make sure everything works! (plus it's fun to play campout in the yard);)

I don't think I would have punished her. The infraction was disrespect and since she meant no disrespect - she was obviously just being a Geek and that is a good thing - well, I'd have just explained that the school sadly, obviously has no sense of humor and that she needs to keep that in mind in the future and save that stuff for Dad. ;)

Had an interesting parental moment last week. Hannah came home with a "strike slip " (handed out for major infractions like hitting). And what was the infraction listed on the strike slip? She did the "bunny ears" to the lunch aide. (You know, when you do the "peace sign" behind the head of someone so it looks like they have bunny ears... I was surprised when people had never heard it called this when I had to explain it.) Yeah, it's fun when you have to have a discussion about bunny ears being disrespectful to adults and you're trying NOT to laugh because you sound absurd.

it's sad that they can't tie this to the kind of student they know the child to be = and just let a few things pass.

we bought those slimy brains, "poop" etc. from the Target party goods section. Giona already wants to bring them in for April Fool's day - but I know that I will have to send an email to his teacher qualifying his intentions or he will end up just like Hannah. maybe this will not be good enough either.
but hey you do have to laugh.

Just stopping by during lunch....

ok i got back to work...

Came back to

I can't believe you are back at work already - how is that going?

sorry to hear about your manager - doesn't sound like much of one if he let things slide for weeks with no answers.

Okay you made me google this guy. ;)
By the way I love the pictures! They make me excited about leaving Thursday. I've never seen the Nemo show. We are going to the last night of the Pirate/Princess Party when we arrive. You did that right V?

have a wonderful trip and birthday celebration!!!

Angie - have you taken a shower yet in the new motorhome - just wondering is it bigger than the one on the Magic?
