Joy - hope DD is feeling better soon!

And I can't believe all this snow!! It was 60 this morning and supposed to get down to the 30's-40's this weekend! Brrr....!

Last night as DD was falling asleep, she complained that her stomach hurt. Woke up at 2 am to hear her coughing next to me... puking all over the bed. mmmmm yummy.

:grouphug: That sounds like DD before we left for our 12/05 cruise. :( She kept getting sick thru the night though. She didn't have a fever until 2 days later. I hope that she feels better soon!

Here is a slideshow of a birthday party that Sarah went to over the weekend. It's held at this place called Olivia's Dollhouse. The girls go in, get to pick out a princess dress, and then they do hair and makeup, have a fashion show, and then a tea party. It was waaaay too cute.

(sorry, it's about a 17 mb file so it might take awhile).

Very nice! :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday Andy!!!!

I hope you two are out dancing. ;) and celebrating. is this a big one Andy? or too young for that yet?

yeah i was out...like a light on the couch.... He was doing his gaming crap in the basement.

No big one this year...36 i think..

BTW Thank you so much Elaine.... I loved your delivery.... i have it sitting next to my couch where i can see it and Abby has sniffed it but hasn't eaten any yet.

Good morning everyone!

We are in store for lots of snow - 12-18 inches they are saying by noon tomorrow.

Schools are all closed, and it is coming down. What a day for Amy's first day back to work!

We went to school to get that half day in and then they are dismissing 3 hrs early (DD should be home 12:30 ish) DH brought work home....

I understand they want to get the mandated days in but it's very rough for parents with younger ones who work down county or in DC cause the train doesn't return until late afternoon. So you're stuck leaving early.
I don't mind now that DD is older.

I imagine tomorrow will be at least 2 hr delay.

I am skedaddling - last few hours of freedom before being trapped in the house for the next 2 days with the storm. ;) have to take advantage.

Goodness! That's three days in the past month! :scared1: I am so glad that we haven't had to miss any days yet. It is terrible when the kids have to make them up on what was suppose to be a day off. :sad1:

No need to make up. We get 5 snow days a year by the state, and EVERY time we have gone over that, the legislature passes for additional calamity days due to a particularly bad season.

The snow is REALLY coming down. Some errands on lunch that should have taken 45 minutes took 90!

Snow still flying.... kids still in school, though, because the roads are OK. Our district has a 185-day calendar instead of the required 180 days, so the first 5 days for snow/etc are covered (but we don't get them off at the end of the year if they don't use them).

We'll get the snow this evening and tomorrow (4-12 inches in the city), seems to take extra time to cross the lakes. I will still be coming into work tomorrow, only even had one day when we closed for snow and the mayor called out the Army to plow us out, he got ribbed for that one for years.

Allie is still not feeling 100%. She keeps pulling at her ears and I would have thought by today that would not be the case since she started antibiotics on Friday. I will give her a few more days but if she is not better by Friday I may take her back in so they can take another look.

Nathan is behaving quite well today and we are wondering if we are seeing some changes due to his diet. Our allergiest showed us a book that had some colorings from a kid with allergies before and after just a few days of removing the allergen and the changes were pretty dramatic.

Well DS had never really paid much attention to the lines and his coloring was pretty much all over the place. He colored a picture this afternoon and he attempted to stay in the lines and it is a BIG difference from his normal "style". Could be coincidence but I don't know.... :confused3

I would think that too, Becka. Maybe there is something else wrong? :grouphug: to Allie.

We are just getting yucky rain hee so I will be picking the kids up at their bus stop in a bit. It's still so much easier for me than the carpool line. Guess I will be enjoying that one somewhere next year. :(

It could very well be related...and I hope that it continues! :goodvibes

I sure hope not. I am not sure we can take anything else. :sad2:

I just mean that maybe they misdiagnosed or or didn't give her a strong enough medicine. Antibiotics generally help the kids feel better in 24 hours with ear infections & strep. :grouphug:

John we have quite a few folks from Ohio on the repo cruise. When they talk about the amusement park or other things there it reminds me of you guys. This morning I thought of Kim & her family when I heard the terrible news about the mall shooting in SLC. I find myself doing that a lot lately.
