Nathan looks miserable. His fever is up to 102 and he just had that sick, pathetic look on his face. He is laying on the couch all covered up with a blanket (with only underwear on under the blankets of course ) and watching Krypto the Superdog.

I gave him some Tylenol since it was not quite yet time for his next dose of Motrin. I hope he gets better soon. I hate it when my babies are sick.

Cozumel Jeep Tour Update

We are now up to 21 Jeeps - Tonight at 9pm est is the cut off ...I have to get this list to the Company in Cozumel - If your a Johnny come lately you are more then welcome to join this group , but you will have to make your own arrangments for your jeep ...

I think I am going to take either a bottle of Capt. Morgan or a bottle of amarretto with me on board. I will just mix my own capt or amarretto and coke. I know that is being cheap...but I enjoy a few mixers on vacation...but this way they will be really cheap!

My DMom just called me. My brother was bit by a tic the other day........

Not fun. We have lots of woods/deer around our house....I'm always checking the boys for ticks. Have found several, too. I hate, hate, hate ticks! Hope your the antibiotics work for your brother!

Thanks! With no other symptoms I am afraid this is one of those mystery fever viruses. They take several days to clear up and all you can do is wait them out and give them Tylenol and Motrin. DH will most likely be home with him tomorrow.

And there are a lot of kids (and a few husbands) who have no idea what their Moms (or wives) are doing on the DIS!!!

Well after making everyone's buttons this weekend/week....my DH and DSs have heard the stories....some they chuckled, some they laughed at...some they stared at me.

we're taking bottles onboard as well...a couple wines...rum for DH and I am not sure if anything else. I am sure my father will be pleased to see me carting booze around...(he does not drink although his girlfriend will have a wine now and then). But then again, you people know me better than he does.

My DMom just called me. My brother was bit by a tic the other day. Last night he showed it to us and I told him to call his doctor because I thought it looked like lyme's disease. He went to the Dr. today. They are treating it like lyme's. He will take anitbotics for 3 weeks then get a blood test. I pray it isn't lymes...but it really looks like it is. Now I need to find out what happens to your body if you have it.

I've never quite understood what Lyme Disease does but from what I gather it's similar to MS (Multiple Sclerosis) type symptoms... so I assume muscle weakness, numbness, tingling, etc. I've been tested time and time again for Lyme Disease even though I don't recall ever being bitten by a tick, but the doctors believe I have MS but can't find signs of it in my MRI's or spinal tap. So they've started looking at other things- Lyme Disease, B12 deficiency, etc... so that's how I assume Lyme is like MS. I don't think it's deadly or anything but can be uncomfortable. Maybe catching it early will help a lot also.

chocolate mint ice cream sundae (DH will LOVE this)
the Lost banana treasure (I don't want to know!)
amaretto cheesecake


I think instead of an appertizer I am going to start off with cheesecake!

Mmmmm...I drool for deserts!
