I do have my first communion veil and DD will wear that next year. My sister also wore it but I ended up with it when I left the house.

Cool! When our kids get their first communion they are about 13 years old. It is different than catholic churchs. They are confirmed and become members at the same time. They take comfirmation classes for 2 years prior. They all wear white gowns (kind of like choir gowns) for their confirmation day.

Let's see....we have a few teachers, PTO moguls, School Board reps, scout leaders, accountant, medical personel, grocery managers, bankers...this could work. It could be our own DISopia!!!

I have been thinking about this. How do you approach someone who you know is extremely mad at you? I don't want her to think I am rubbing it in or being snide in anyway. That is the part that has me hung up. I don't know the best way to go about doing it.

The only thing you can do Brandi is be yourself, which includes being sweet and innocent. She really has no place to be mad at you, for you did nothing wrong. Why would there be an election if there was only one person "good" enough for the job.

You have no control over how she reacts to you, so if you aren't trying to rub it in, then don't sweat it. Do you know anyone who has or will talk to her? Find out how she is feeling? You don't have to single her out for a talk. Just include everyone and anyone who wants to help and give ideas. The worst thing you can do though is start out saying there needs to be a lot of changes. I think most probably already know that, so just make the changes without pointing out what was wrong.

That is the carpet in Eliza's room. I like the contrast of that color to her dress.

Ah, Walmart WAS a mom and pop store. Five and Dime in Bentonville, Arkansas. Then a second store, then six stores. Hard work and a love of competition. This old lady sees it as the ultimate American Dream. Sorry, John1.

I agree that is what it was Angie (I have even read Sam's book). But things have changed. Sam is no longer around, and it is not the same as it was. They are now the Standard Oil of Retail, answering only to an increasingly hungry Wall Street.

Do any of the repeat cruisers remember if the air is humid on the western cruise? My DD's hair gets so curly and cute when we're down in FL in the humidity. No curlers needed...air dry and voila...

I don't remember any humidity in January. It wasn't very hot, just in the 80's I believe.

If I buy them now, then DW will say I only bought them because I listen to my internet friends more than I listen to her . . .

If I don't buy them, she will say, why don't you listen when everyone tells you this is what you should do - you don't listen to anyone.

This is defined as a "can't win" situation.

Good thinking. Maybe I should get a pair for my DH. Then they can both be manly men with thier crocs...hum...what color...if they don't have lime green...maybe a really manly color...like purple!!! He could match mine!!!!
