Ok he missed this post. Trying again. DrHug tell them about your new toy.

Oh, THAT! Well, it wasn't a 5D, and it wasn't a Les Paul Gold Top, And it wasn't a New Bass. But it was a Desktop recording studio package. AWESOME AWESOME. But, MrsMork, (that being Angie) says I can't play with it until after the Cruise. Hey, what kinda deal is that? I was going to record my new song. Now all I need is a small Drum set. heh heh heh.

Thanks again guys.

I really appreciate being able to talk to all of you, and can't wait for the cruise. I really feel like my blood pressure goes down, and I can relax when I sit here to talk across the country with my friends.

Good night, and have a safe Monday.

:sad2:  :rolleyes1 Poor fellow has to do his work before he can play. :sad2: We have door signs that need to get made, a pirate outfit to put together, packing to be done, Thanksgiving dinner for 50 or so.

Cool! Remember that no matter how many toys you get you always need more.

Isn't it the one with the most toys at the end wins?

Me too. I just got caught up. I didn't get Sam's Senior Pics done for her though. (sigh) I have to get a proof disk to her this week. Argh!

Well, That's what they say, but I usually give them away, unless Angie gave it to me. I still have every CHristmas present she has given me over the years. That is, unless she tossed it. LOL I think I'll win if I have no toys left in the end.

I got this Studio thing so I can record a couple of Guitar instrumentals because I can't find anyone who can play them correctly. Don't get me wrong, they are very simple, but have to be done just right. (Syncopation). Anyway. I am hoping it will turn out really well. It is a 4 part round. And I am not really the greatest guitarist. I like playing at it though.

There were a lot of us old hippies there too!

The neatest thing is that you are not allowed to have lighters so they had everyone pull out their cell phones and wave them.

Hubby was just at a concert where the lead singer had people pass their cell phones to the stage and he would sing into the cell phone to whoever had been called. It was when he was at HOB at WDW.

That is a serious scare! If I had been Amy, I would have had to run away from that one! Yikes!

I think they can actually do something now with the bar code on the back of the ticket in case it gets lost. So many of the tickets are printed from the computer now anyway.

John,

This is kind of funny, but they sell them in our grocery stores here. :rotfl:

If this is referring to handwarmers - Walmart has them very cheap. We bought a ton when we had a snow tubing party last year for the kids birthday. About 1/2 the price of other sporting goods stores.

I honestly think she needs some kind of help. It was very over the top sort of reaction. Honestly, if I were her and was that upset...I would have gone home (being that I am the director and that is a paid position...I couldn't leave...but she could)....not sat in front of the whole church and sobbed. Many of the choir members were annoyed because of how she was while we were singing.

You should make it your first project as President to make sure she is ok. Ask her to help with something and if there is a group that checks on the elderly or recently widowed maybe they should call her and just see how she is doing. It seems like the job of President was filling some sort of need for her that she wasn't getting elsewhere. She is probably feeling loss, rejection, failure - something we would offer sympathy for. Something else in her life must have overwhelmed her if she started to do a bad job. Or maybe she does need the attention.

The girls are doing good. They are lucky they survived the day though. I now know why I try to keep them busy OUTSIDE the house! While I was busy cleaning out Dina's room, she decided to bring in a pile of sawdust from the garage and dump it on the floor. What I really don't get is that DH was IN the garage at the time!?!?! :rolleyes1

We have this problem too - we are trying to unload all the pre-school toys. As soon as I put something into a garbage bag the kids see it as a new undiscovered toy box and start pulling everything out to play with. It's like wokring backwards - is there an equation for this? I end up in the negative column. I can only get things done when they are not around.

Hey,

Rub some of that luck off on the rest of us!

BTW . . . that other President must have some serious problems . . . she must have really needed the attention to make a scene like that in front of the whole church.

We have not been to church in a while. I am in a quandry. Politics there forced our current priest out, and we get a letter from the Parish council that they will NOT talk about it, or confirm or deny any rumors - they want the wounds to heal they say. Well, my experience is that wounds do not heal when the truth is not told.

I am really upset about this, and am thinking about switching parishes, but this is the church I grew up in . . . Our priest was not a perfect man (Only one was ever born) but there were a lot of people who do not forgive even a priest. I HATE politics (not the Sunday School President type - but the backstabbing type) in a church. I just want to go there to worship - not to get embroiled in controversy and gossip!

I am with you there John. That's what drives most people away. But, it's everywhere. I haven't been to a church yet that doesn't have problems like this. It is a real struggle. Sitting in the back works for me too.

I will pay twice as much at the sporting goods store. WalMart does not get 10 cents from me.
(Sorry Angie)

Happy Monday!
