This was my cousin's wedding. She was such a happy bride. This is the cousin that was bit by the cat.

I need to go and be productive for a while. Catch you guys later.

I have been thinking about this. How do you approach someone who you know is extremely mad at you? I don't want her to think I am rubbing it in or being snide in anyway. That is the part that has me hung up. I don't know the best way to go about doing it.

Well, maybe approach her and take her to lunch, one on one. Make it a more personal thing where she feels you are more of a friend than a member of the church...

If she was not handling things properly, do you think it was a case of incompetence or was it a case of too much to handle and she lost control? If it was the latter, maybe talking to her about where she think things were going wrong, ask for her suggestions (in hindsight) how they could be fixed...make her feel that she is a solution, not a cause. She obviously has confidence issues now and that may be a result of her time as Pres, and not a cause of her failures.

Give her a way to explain what happened and maybe she'll come to realize that you AREN'T out to rub anything in, prove that your better or anything....asking for her opinions and for her experience should help her gain confidence that she did her best, and maybe help you avoid the same mistakes.

<I'm not an expert...>

This was Eliza's Baptism. My mom made her dress. She chopped up her wedding gown to make this dress.

Aww how cute....My DD wore a lace christening gown that was made by my great grandmother (Dm's side). She made it right before my mother got married and then passed away.

DGGM never knew that my DGM would go on to have another child (my aunt who is 4 yrs older than me.) So DA wore it, i wore it, my DSis wore it, and my DD has now wore it. Dsis bought a seperate suit for my Nephew though we he was christened so that kinda broke the chain.

It's nice to have a family heirloom such as your dd's dress. I know that i used the shorter part of my own wedding veil for my DD's 1st communion. She wanted her own crown piece and then i sewed the veil onto it.
1st communion was a very dressy event at our catholic church in PA. Here the kids all do it at seperate times (sometimes 2-3 at a time though) and most don't even wear a special dress or suit.

So you seriously never shop there. Huh...do you go to Target?

Yes, I do Target.

Target is not the 800 pound Gorilla that WM is.

We were in a hotel on Friday night and one of the guests had a two legged dog. When it was a puppy it lost its front two legs. It walked on it back two very well. He and JoJo bonded quickly.

Isn't it amazing what dogs can do!? How is JoJo on such long car trips? Makes friends easily huh? :goodvibes

We went to McCormick and Schmick's for dinner. They have a free dinner for veterans each year for Veterans Day. Dennis got his free meal and we bought mine. We had salmon and it was yummy. It is also pretty awesome to sit in the room with all those heros. There was a table of about 20 people right by us and they were all marines from different eras, both male and female. The whole restaurant is packed with vets every year. Dennis thanked the hostess for doing this and she said it is their pleasure and that this is the most exciting day in the restaurant, including Christmas. She then said "don't get me choked up here". How nice is that?? :thumbsup2

What a great idea! A very nice way to say "Thank you!" :cloud9:

I feel your pain Becka. DW is surprised I still have a big toe on my right foot. I am such a clutz - run it into all kinds of things. DW says because it is such a BIG big toe.

BTW - had a scare tonight - we are going to see the Cheetah girls Wed night, and just told Sophie today. Well, guess what, we could NOT find the tickets tonight! Turned every paper storage place in my desk upside down. I was ready to go NUTS.

Then as I am putting stuff away . . . look where we keep our Birth certificates, and other important stuff - there they are - sigh of relief.

(no honey, now we are not going to see the Cheetah girls, your stupid daddy put the tickets somewhere for safekeeping, and now cannot find them)

Phew! I'll bet she is just beside herself right now! :goodvibes She'll never make it through school on Wednesday. :Pinkbounc

DrHug will have to tell you about the new toy he got tonight. Since we were in Beaverton for dinner and Guitar Center is right there on the way home...... :sad2: Big boy toys. :sad2:

It's hard for me to figure out which he enjoys more, his cameras or his guitars. :scratchin

I made it to work and hopefully my car will continue to start. :)

Great pics Kim and Brandi! :)

I just called AAA and ordered my maps...one less thing to do on my checklist and we are getting so close. Just one month from tomorrow I will be drivin' to Florida!!!!! :woohoo:
