There are two dining managers in each dining room. They are in charge of everything that happens there. If you want to have your rotation changed or request a certain server, that is who you go see at the Palo resie place. They are usually at the front of the dining room directing traffic. If they did something special for you regarding special dietary restriction help or made a change in seating for you while on the cruise, that is the time you would offer a tip.
So who is the guy you give like $3.25 to? That is the person we go to if there is any issues. :confused3

This is for John and PJ...

Top Ten Reasons for Upgrading to a PC instead of a Mac:

* 1. You enjoy reading computer manuals
* 2. Buying parts 'not included' is your idea of being patriotic
* 3. Blaming it on the PC is a great excuse... for anything
* 4. Tech support is your idea of telephone dating
* 5. Your favorite computer game is figuring out where your files are
* 6. You look forward to today's new virus (or worm, or both)
* 7. You like listening to telephone support hold-button music
* 8. Letting the kids play on the Mac next door frees your time (eliminates after-school kid sitters)
* 9. You think Bill Gates deserves the money
* 10. You have nothing better to do with all the extra time

What he said. LOL. yes, the mac platform changed from powerpc to intel and they can now be partitioned to run windows (you would still need a licence and once it's there you would still need to be super vigilent re viruses in that partition because it's now windows). I am running only PowerPC cpus at the moment however John I believe has used the partition that way so he can share. I agree with Todd though once I switched I never looked back and my work laptop is not on my home network at all and when I am offline I disconnect it from the network.

I forgot to ask - I assume you are looking for portability- vs. desktop? If desktop = iMac and if portable MacBook bith are sold by Best Buy. The only thing about Best Buy is their support stinks. they know nothing about Apple products although I heard they are trying to rectify it. If they try to sell you a best buy service plan - don't do it = I think you can buy Apples plan - that is the one you want to buy - why can't I think of what it's called.... Applecare

Oh, forgot -- need a DVD burner in the laptop, too.

Just checked BB's online store......they have a grand total of 2 Mac laptops listed: Models # MA472LL/A and MA255LL/A. One has 80GB and the other has 60GB.

That is the head server. Next in line is your server and assistant server. The head server handles special requests like cakes and diffuses any issues between the servers and in the kitchen. If you don't see them, they are doing their job. You do go to them first if there is a problem. Their boss is the dining manager.

Check out the Apple Store online to see the scoop on the models - to ensure Best buy includes what you need as the apple store site is more comprehensive than best buys. So from this post you want a SuperDrive (burns DVDs) not a Combo Drive as well.

Drat! I just found out that the AVG virus program will no longer be available after 1/15/07. :( :( :( That is what we have always used. I hate the thought of having to pay for an anit-virus program but it has done so well. BUMMER! Add to that the fact that our email will be changing due to suddenlink buying out cox and now I am trying to decide if I want to switch to embarq DSL and save $15 a month. As long as I have to switch a gazillion accounts with the email set up I may as well do it to one that will save us money. ACK!!!!!

Well, you already know that John, Carla, PJ and I vote for Mac.

Here's a cool thing about photos and iPhoto on the Mac that never fails to impress my non-mac family members when we get together at holidays, etc. I just take anyone's camera (and there are old and new, Canon, Olympus, Sony, Kodak), connect it to my PowerBook and iPhoto recognizes the camera and loads the photos. No setup, no extra software, no hassles. Collect the whole family's holiday photos, burn CDs, and everyone has the shots that they may have missed.

Yup....portability/wireless is what I want.

Would never do another BB extended warranty again. Although, despite the over-one-month nightmare this has been.....the store Geek Squad manager has turned out to be a decent guy. Have to be honest 'bout that.

Then make a slide show to some cool music from itunes, turn around and make a movie with iMovie and burn it on iDVD.

Of course that is what got me in trouble with DD's K class and I haven't had time to make their end of year class DVD.

Or just impress everyone running the slide show of Christmas photos with a medley of holiday songs! :thumbsup2
Or your cruise photos with Disney tunes... hmmm.

Whoa! This alone could sell me on a Mac. You just described our family at Christmas.....everyone has different types of cameras.
