12/04/2010 Eastern MAGIC - CHIP 'N' DALE'S CRUISIN' NUTS

Yeah, less than a week. Still nursing this bad knee. Got cortisone last week, still sore as anything. Whole leg tender, I think from the way I walk to protect my knee. I should be good for the cruise, but for the stay at WDW I am not sure. Looking forward to meeting everyone. As my DS (Golfnpirate) said, we hope to be there early as well. Hope the shirts he is making turn out great. Working sat-tue nites, then I am off for VACATION!!!!

I called about movies this morning Abby wanted to see the new Narnia film while on board, so I called and its not showing :(.

thanks Jenn! Tangled is a movie everyone here wants to see!! :)

I've been doing laundry non-stop :laundy: but the kids are finally packed! Now to finish bagging my FE gifts and pack myself.

We're scheduled for the first shuttle out of the Radisson so we should be there early. My children (3 yr old girl and 1 yr old boy) will be wearing matching blue outfits with a DCL ship and their names embroidered on them. And chances are, my daughter will be running around like a crazy person. princess:

The movies that are playing as mentioned, where ae they playing...at the pool during the day?? Do the navigators list the time of showings? I can't believe how many things I forgot about the trip. Just remembered today I have to go to the dollar store for clothes pins to hang the swim suits in shower:rolleyes:
Only a few more days people :yay:
Hope everyone is well and have a fantastic Sunday!!
BTW-my girls cant wait to meet Kenna :cutie:

Generally the first run movies are in the Buena Vista Theater; stuff on Ariel Vision are the older movies. My fave is Pirates of the Caribbean after the Pirate Party. I was hoping Tron was out, that's more my style.

If you're talking Tron: Legacy, that doesn't release until December 17th. It would be cool to see the original Tron on the big screen.

We are planning, with Donaldsdoll, to be there early also. Not sure what we will be wearing, I don't really wear many t-shirts so we don't have special ones made. We are still in Dallas until Tuesday and then after laundry is done, I will start packing for the cruise.

Donaldsdoll and her DH fly into Daytona on Friday then we will drive to the Ship on Sat. morning. Really just want to relax and sail away. The space shyttle launch was pushed back from Oct. launch to Dec. 3rd. I keep hoping it will move to the 4th. What fun to watch the launch from the deck of the Magic. Taswira, have you heard any more since we have been out of Fl for the holiday?

Can't wait to meet everyone, hope everyone travels to the port safely. See ya' real soon!:sail:

I checked Kennedy Space Center website and the shuttle launch is now scheduled for Dec. 17. That would've be awesome to see.

Frank, the new TRON is what I meant, but I was hoping we'd get a sneak peek. Alas, it ain't happening.

My family was on Main Street USA in March 2009 when they launched the Discovery. It was right before the light parade so the sun was going down. It was really neat.

Oh well, would have been neat. We usually see it right over our house and the last landing came right over our back yard, very cool.

I've never known DCL to have a preview screening of anything, at least I've not seen anyone post about it...I kept hoping they would push up the launch day, but it wasn't meant to be. :(

:cool1:we saw a launch on arrival day of our Carnival cruise in 99. It was very cool to see. ( we tried 3 yrs ago, on the way home from the beach, but it got cancelled at the last minute.)

I officially started packing today!! :) :woohoo:

What is the advantage of showing up at 10 - 10:30 AM if we cannot get to our room until 1 PM? We two have never departed from Port Canaveral on a DCL cruise, only from Barcelona, so this is new to us.

We are soooo ready for a break. We need an infusion of Christmas cheer and pixie dust.

I am looking forward to meeting you all at the Meet and Greet Saturday afternoon.:santa:

Some people like to be on the ship as early as possible. Some others may not have gotten their Palo/Spa/etc reservations they wanted, and being onboard early gives them a better chance to get those reservations.

Me, it's mainly because I have to return our rental by 10am...;)

I will look for other dis'ers around the TVs then. Though there is nothing we have to 'rush' for at the terminal, past years and vacations have taught us that we don't sleep well before a trip..too excited.

So, might as well get up and get going! If we get to the terminal early, we get all the checking in done, can relax & hang with Mickey, then get on the ship early for lunch and pool before it gets too crowded. Last year we were in our room by 1, unpacked by the first dis meet at 3 pm.. and chillin with drinks in hand for launch.

To me I want to get the vacation started as early as possible!

Now would be good LOL!
5 days left!!!
