11mth Window Question

[The Lost Boy]

Has anyone not been able to book the dates they wanted at their home resort at the 11 month window ?

We recently made BCV our "second" home (350pts) and we will be looking to book for last 2 weeks Oct 04 in November, but I was planning on just calling to book the entire length of stay rather than on a day to day basis.

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank everyone, because I have been lurking on these boards for quite a while and the information and advice given is second to none.

I think it might depend on what size unit you are looking for. BCV is quite a bit smaller than OKW, and we usually have no trouble waiting until our 11 month check out day to book the whole trip, but this is during the F&W festival, so it might be advisable if you are looking for a studio or 2 bedroom.

It depends on when and what. Since BCV doesn't have standard view units or GV, you should be OK. There might however be a few times where you should call day by day like Xmas, December in general, other holidays and Easter. Good luck.

Since you are going for 2 weeks, I would call at the end of the first week and book that part. Tell them you will be calling back the following week, they will hold your confirmation. Then call the next week and add the rest.

Can you all clarify this for me? Do you mean to tell me, that if I REALLY, REALLY want a specific type/kind of room at a certain time, that I have the option of booking it day-by-day? Meaning, that if I want two weeks in a GV over say, Christmas/New Years, I can call MS for every day for that I want the reservation at the 11 month window and basically be assured of my accomodations???? This means that everyday MS would modify my reservation to add a day on with out any problem?
Wow, you guys are SO SMART! I never thought of that! Please let me know if what I typed above is in fact possible.
We are usually very flexible and last minute about where we stay, b/c we live so close and go so frequently, and happen to be a family of four with our children both being boys (under 2 yrs and under 4 yrs), but know that one day I want to rent a GV and bring our extended family...

Not only is it possible, it's preferable. Call every day right when they open for those truly hard to get reservations. Granted, there aren't many you need to do this for but if you truly must have certain reservations, this is the way to do it. MS will even suggest it at times.
