11 Month Window

I am wanting to book AKL Villas for a week starting 1st June 2008.

I have points for the AKL.

DO I ring on the 1st of July to book for the whole week, wait until the 7th July to book the whole week or ring each day between the 1st and the 7th and keep adding a day on?

Is it 11 calendar months the window or a set neumber of days?

You COULD call day-by-day at the 11 month point. It is 11 months from the day of checkout. Thus, for the night of June 1, 2008, you would call on July 2, 2007; for June 2, call July 3, etc.

You could also wait until 11 months from your vacation check out day to book your entire reservation.

If you go to the 'My DVC/Vacation Points' section of the member's website, it shows the vacation dates at the top.

The 11 month priority is based on 11 months - not a number of days - from the checkout date.

If you wanted to reserve your whole stay at once, you'd need to call on July 8 (for a checkout of June 8). If you are trying to get one of the more limited reservations (like Club level), you might call on July 2 (11 months from the checkout date for a June 1 arrival) and ask MS how the availability is for your dates. They can advise whether it would be best for you to call day-by-day.

If they suggest that there is plenty of availability, then you cna call on July 8 to reserve the rest of the stay. If they suggest that availability may be limited, then contoune to call daily - let them know you will do this with that first call and they will "hold" your reservation before sending the confirmation letter.

I usually call day-by-day on any limited availability villas (BWV standard or BW views, value or concierge at AKV Jambo, etc.). (I like to stack the deck in my favor )
Until Kidani is open, the available AKV rooms are limited, even the savanna ones, so IMHO, it's worth being slightly inconvenienced this year.
