I just returned from a very magical vacation at Disney World. My DBF and I vacationed from May 16-May 26th at Coronado Springs Resort and we ate, ate, and ate some more! We are very strict dieters who usually eat a typical body builders type diet with complex carbs, lots of lean protein, and all natural foods, so we decided while on vacation we were throwing the diet out the window and boy did we eat!

Me (Amy)- 20 year old Disney Fanatic
My Boyfriend (Brendan)- 21 Year Old Workout-aholic!

ESPN Club- Boardwalk
We ate at the ESPN Club for lunch on our first day at Disney. We loved that you could walk there from Epcot which was so convenient and it was a nice break from the parks for mid-day. I think we must have been one of the first people at the restaurant for lunch because it was dead when we got there. They do not accept reservations, but if you go early for lunch you will definitely have no problem getting in. We ate in the section of the restaurant away from the bar. It was actually really cool because they were doing a live sports radio broadcast while we were there. My boyfriend is a huge sports fan and loved the restaurant. We started with the Nachos which were actually really good. We were a little hesitant to get Nachos in Disney because the ones we got in Mexico in Epcot were so bad last year, but these were really good. Later on in the trip we got Nachos from Whispering Canyon Cafe and I liked those better, but Brendan liked these better. He liked the chili on them....I'm not so crazy about chili! We both also got the Ceasar Salads minus cheese and dressing and we added red wine vinegar for dressing. The salad was really good. The chicken was cooked just right! The atmosphere definitely makes this restaurant a must to try for sports fans! They even have TVs in the bathroom! It's also a lot of fun to chill at the Boardwalk for a little bit mid day!

We both said Maybe. We liked some other restaurants better, but this is a fun atmosphere. We want to try a lot of new restaurants next year so we'll see!

Rainforest Cafe- Downtown Disney
We ate at the Rainforest Cafe on our first full day at Disney. The atmosphere is so much fun at this restaurant and definitely a good idea to try if you are vacationing with kids. I had the Chicken Ceasar Salad (you will see this trend a lot). I had the salad without cheese or dressing and substituted red wine vinegar for ceasar dressing. The salad was pretty good. My Boyfriend had the Volcanic Cobb Salad. He said it was ok. He ended up not getting the dressing it came with and got red wine vinegar instead and he said it didn't seem to mix well and taste too good with the eggs. We ended off this night with Cirque Du Soleil which I strongly recommend checking out!

Would we return:
We both say probably not. There is a rainforest cafe in our area and the only reason we went in Disney was because I had a gift certificate. It was fun and the food was average, but would probably try something else for dinner in Downtown Disney.

~*~Ok I'm Off to Bed! More reviews to come tomorrow! Hope you enjoyed them so far!~*~

Thanks so much for joining everyone! My Next review is for:

Sci-Fi Dine In- MGM Studios
We ate here for dinner and both of us had never been before. I've always wanted to try it mostly for the atmosphere, but the Dis Boards were never too kind to Sci-Fi so I stayed away until this trip. We sat in the back of a car and our waitress was amazing! We had three servers who went above and beyond in this trip and she was one of them! (The other two were at Le Cellier and Whispering Canyon Cafe.) We started with the spinach and artichoke dip which was really good! We each got Chicken Ceasar Salads and can you guess what was left off of them??? You're right- cheese and dressing with a substitution of Red Wine Vinegar! I thought this salad was better than ESPN Club and Rainforest Cafe. The chicken was so good! We both also got waters as a drink....if I don't mention what we drank just assume it was water....I know we are boring lol We finished dinner off with a chocolate milkshake that we shared. The waitress even taped the two straws together to look like a heart! It was so cute! We both really liked this restaurant. Fun atmosphere and the food was good, not out of this world good, but definitely good! I would definitely go back and I liked Sci-Fi better than Mama Melrosa's which is the only other TS restaurant I have eaten in at MGM.

Would we Return?:
We both said Maybe. If we had room in our trip we would, but there are a few other restaurants we want to try.

**O just a little side note- we rated all of our restaurants on the plane ride home so we sort of based some of our ratings on our favorite restaurants. So if we had not eaten out at our favs some of the other restaurants might have gotten better ratings.**

Next Up:
Tony's Lunch and O'Hana for Dinner

Great reviews! We love ESPN Club, I think DH would live there if he could.:rolleyes1

Tony's Town Square Restaurant- Lunch at the Magic Kingdom
I made a reservation at Tony's in the Magic Kingdom despite the bad reviews the restaurant gets here on the Dis Boards and I am so glad I did! We did this restaurant for lunch and dinner and we both liked lunch better. They have a large lunch menu and the food was really really good! We started off with the Tony's Pizza which was awesome and this is coming from a bostonian who has some of the country's best pizza places at my fingertips! We both had the Grilled Chicken Panini minus the bacon which was also really really good! I would say that if you like Italian food definitely try Tony's! We loved it and we were both really surprised that the reviews aren't that great here on the Dis.

We both say a big YES!

O'hana- Polynesian Resort
This is by far our favorite restaurant on Disney property! We ended up having reservations planned an our before Wishes started and we got great seats to view the fireworks! It was also our anniversary and they brought out a special happy anniversary cookie with the dessert! We loved O'hana so much that we tried making reservations to repeat dinner there for our last night and we lucked out getting a reservation after calling about 8 times to keep re checking! Definitely make these reservations far in advance as it was completely booked the whole week we were there! You start off this meal with a salad with honey lime dressing which I loved, wonton chips with three dipping sauces (peanut was my favorite), chicken wings, peel and eat shrimp, stir fry veggies, and the best potatoes on disney property (cheesy cheesy cheesy!). We didn't eat the chicken wings or the shrimp because we wanted to save room for the meats that come out on skewers! We only had the steak and turkey....we aren't big pork or sausage fans! The turkey is the best I've ever had in my life! It is soooo good! The steak tips were out of this world too! Definitely make sure to save time for dessert if you make a trip to O'hana. The bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and banana fosters sauce is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!!! Everything about this meal is perfect so I would definitely recommend trying it! They also do a lot of fun activities for the kids such as coconut races, the limbo, etc! This was by far the best meal on our trip and still a favorite of ours!

Next Up: Le Cellier.....is it the best steak and did it live up to the expecations? Stay tuned to find out!

Great reviews!

I loved reading your review of Ohanas. We are dining there for the first time in September and can't wait to try it out.

Can't wait to read the rest of your reviews. Glad you had such a wonderful trip!

You will LOVE O'hanas! It is such a fun place and the food is out of this world :)

Le Cellier- Canada in the World Showcase Pavilion in Epcot
After reading so many amazing reviews of Le Cellier, we had to give it a try! Brendan and I are both steak lovers and right before going to Disney even splurged and tried Omaha steaks which were, at that point, the best steaks we had ever had. The Filets at Le Cellier blew Omaha steaks away! We both loved this restaurant. It is very small and has a nice setting. We didn't find that the tables were too close together which I've heard some Dis Boarders complain about on the review boards. Our waiter was unbelievable as well. His name was Patrick and we were in the Ontario section! He was very friendly, explained all the origins of the bread to us, and was extremely accomodating! We showed up about 20 minutes early for our reservation and we were seated right at the time of our reservation. The restaurant was very busy, definitely a full house! We both ate up all of the bread! In addition to the much talked about pretzel bread (which was the best of the three) there was also a sourdough bread and a multi grain bread. All were served hot out the oven, which is my favorite kind of bread, and they were all very yummy! We both ordered the 7 oz Filet cooked medium without the BBQ sauce. It was cooked to delicious perfection! The seasoning they used was amazing too! For dessert we had the Chocolate Whiskey Cake. I'm not a big chocolate fan, but I thought it was good. Brendan, in his pre workout days, was a huge chocoholic so he ate it all up! We are definitely returning to Le Cellier next trip! It was so good! We want to test the steak up against Yachtmen Steakhouse and Jiko though which we heard were also both really good. Any opinions on what is better if you've been to all three?

Tony's Town Square Dinner- Main St in the Magic Kingdom
After going out to TS restaurants so much the few first nights we decided we wanted to take a break and find somewhere to eat on a night with no ADRs planned. We weren't in love with the menus at The Plaza or Liberty Tree Tavern and O'hana was booked so we decided to try Tony's for dinner. There were no reservations open, but they told us we could wait for a table on the patio. They told us it would be a 40 minute wait, but we only waited about 15-20 minutes which was great! It was also a nice night so sitting outside was great! We ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Dip to start off with and it was good, although we liked the dip better at Sci-Fi Dine In in MGM. I liked dipping the tortilla chips served at Sci Fi better than the bread that they served at Tony's. THey also served bread and oil before our meal which was ok, but would have been better if the bread was served hot! I ordered the Chicken Pasta, but substituted Marinara Sauce for the Pesto Cream Sauce. I absolutely love the sauce at Tony's! It's so tasty. The dish was really good, but a bit over priced for a chicken pasta dish. It was $20! Brendan ordered the Grilled Salmon minus the Bacon. He really liked it and actually ended up ordering salmon at a few other restaurants after trying it here. The food was good for dinner, just a bit over priced. You get more for your money for lunch and the food is a tad less fancy which is more our style.

Great reviews! You've got me thinking about Tony's for our upcoming trip. We haven't been there for a few years, and we really liked it. Looking forward to reading the rest of your reviews!
