11 Days of Disney Food!!! Full Reviews of TS and CS Restaurants!

Hi Everyone! Sorry it's taken me a bit longer to get the next reviews up! I have a few rehearsals with the girls at my dance studio today. They are performing this weekend at the Boston Hatch Shell Stage and I'm trying to get them ready! I promise more tonight :)

Great Reviews..My grandaughter just had her recital last week. She was a penguin...cute

Thanks so much for the great reviews!:thumbsup2 And WELCOME HOME!!! :cool1: We purchased last year & are still wondering why we didn't do it years ago!

I'm so glad to hear good things about Tony's again! We have stayed away lately, due to all the bad reviews here on the Dis. We had such a memorable meal there a few years back, dining on the balcony during the SpectroMagic Parade.

You asked about steaks: We have eaten at Yachtsman twice, 1st time was fabulous! The best New York strip I had ever eaten. The 2nd trip was not as good, steaks were still great but service was off & pototoes were cold.

Le Cellier never really impressed us that much. Steaks are pretty good but we have had very poor service on more than one occasion. Also find the table spacing uncomfortable.

We dined at Jiko in January. The BEST Filet imaginable!! I know a filet with mac & cheese with red wine sauce sounds strange but it is soo good!!!

We had really awesome service at Le Cellier. The tables were a tad close. Maybe if you go again the service will be better! I think we def have to try Jiko next trip. We have heard so many great things. The combinations with mac and cheese does sound a bit weird lol but so many people have said it's unbelievable

I'm really enjoying your reviews. We've eaten at most of the places that you have. Wonderful food!

Thanks so much!! Welcome Homes are in order. We just bought into the DVC about an hour ago!!! I'm so excited, but am trying to find a place to rent out my first set of points (160) because we are not going to be returning before December. Do you know any good places to rent?

Amy,

:offtopic:

If you just purchased, you should be able to call MS and have them bank those points into your next use year...something to think about rather than renting.

Now back on topic! Your food reviews are awesome! Glad to hear you have some very positive things to say on restaurants that are often bashed here. Only 7 days until I get to start enjoying it all...balanced with early morning walks or trips to the health club for the stepper :)

I was also going to suggest you try to bank your points, rather than rent them out.

Great reviews, especially nice to hear some positive reviews of Tonys and Sci-Fi. I will definitely be considering Tonys for lunch in April - I like the look of the menu :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for the great reviews. :thumbsup2 Of those you have reviewed, for Sept. we have booked Le Cellier, O'Hana, and were thinking of trying Tony's but were a little skeptical. Now, we will have to give it more serious thought. Thanks for putting so much time and thought into the reviews. :tink:

Hello fellow Bostonian!

I've really enjoyed your reviews so far. I'm now psyched for our meals at Le Cellier and CP Breakfast!

Hi!! Have fun on your upcoming trip! Disney food definitely is tempting :)

We are renting the free set we got as an incentive for joining to pay for the down payment.

It's good to see so many Bostonians dropping by!!!! We loved Tony's and Sci-fi and they always get bashed here. If you are going into either restaurant expecting 5 star food, you will be dissapointed, but they are both really good and we are definitely returning to tony's lunch next year. I am going to try to sit back down and get back to these reviews either tonight or tomorrow. I'm having such a crazy weekend! Last night we were at the red sox/yankees game and my poor red sox couldn't pull through and tonight we have a grad. party and tomorrow a big peformance at the hatch shell for my studio's dancers and another grad party! AHHHH

WOW you had an amazing trip and you did a great job with the reviews. WELCOME HOME TOO!!! We became DVC members at SSR also on the last day of our trip in Jan. this year. WE are going home in Aug. OH and my dd dances A LOT!!! I noticed you mentioned a dance studio you work at. My dd would love to dance at Disney one day. :goodvibes

Hello Everyone! I'm back with more reviews! Sorry it has taken me so long to get another post up! Things have been pretty crazy this weekend. So here we go:

Whispering Canyon Cafe Lunch - Wilderness Lodge
I was really excited to try this restaurant. I've heard so many great reviews regarding the antics, atmosphere, and service! I figured this would be a really fun meal and a great way to see the beautiful Wilderness Lodge. We had a 12:30 reservation for lunch and was seated right away. The antics with our waiter started right away! He gave me a hard time when I requested our nachos chili-less lol and then gave me even a more hard time when I asked for no cheese on my salad! When my boyfriend and I asked for a refill on our waters he brought out one giant 1/2 gallon jar of water with two jumbo straws!!! We decided to drink it all and be a pain lol So when he came back and we asked for yet again another refill, he yelled out to the whole restaurant that if there was no water in the pool it was our fault lol and then he brought Brendan a "fastpass to the bathroom." When he returned he brought back the tiniest jar with a gigantic straw in it! lol

What we ate:
I started with a Strawberry-Orange Smoothie which was ok, but nothing special. I have had better smoothies in my day hehe Brendan had the chili which I think he liked since he ate it all up pretty fast and we shared the nachos and got them without chili and without sour cream. There was a huge portion which is definitely easy to share! Brendan though the nachos were plain (just tortilla chips, cheese, and salsa). I thought they were awesome....I like my nachos nice, plain, and boring! hehe We both had the Chicken Salad minus the Cheddar Cheese. I really really liked the salad. The dressing and candied walnuts added a nice and different flare to the salad. I was a litle ceasared out by this point. lol I don't think Brendan liked the salad as much as me. He said he thought the candied walnuts made it taste weird...I think he is just plain crazy! hehe
I really really loved this restaurant. It was a lot of fun and the food was great!

WCC was so much fun! We had such a great time. My boyfriend drinks like 8 cups of water when we go out so the waiter was givin him a hard time about his refills hehe

I love WCC! Do you remember who your waiter was? I love to ask for someone who has a reputation for such great service. Another great review, thanks! :thumbsup2

I don't remember his name. All the waiters there were getting really into it so I'm sure no matter who you have will be great!

I'm back with the last of the TS meals! First up is CP :)

Crystal Palace Dinner - Magic Kingdom
We returned to CP again for dinner with winnie the poog, piglet, tigger, and eyeore. This restaurant was packed for both dinner and breakfast while we were there so definitely make reservations. It was all you can eat buffet and we tried a little bit of everything. I had the prime rib, turkey, salad, fruit, chicken fingers, mac and cheese, chocolate mouse dessert, soft serve ice cream, and broccoli. Everything was really really good! We had reservations close to the time of wishes so we just walked right outside the restaurant and had a great spot to watch the fire works too which was awesome! We love CP and will definitely return...but I think I liked breakfast a little better than dinner.

1900 Park Fare Breakfast - Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
On our last day we booked breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. We both wanted to see the Grand Floridian so it was a perfect way to kill some time before being picked up by the Magical Express :(
We got to the restaurant right at 8:00 (our reservation was at 8:20) and we were seated right away.
We had a little bit of everything. The make your own omellettes were the best. The fruit was good, but was more fresh at CP breakfast. The mickey waffles were yummy and the banana bread was really good too. Definitely try the strawberry soup if you try 1900 park fare! It was so yummy!
We liked CP Breakfast a little bit better. The food was better at CP and the characters were better too. Brendan gets a bit freaked out by the "real people" characters lol
