It was this little girl's first day of school, and the teacher asked her
what her name was.

She replied, Happy Butt.

The teacher said, Honey I don't think that's your name. You need to go
to the principal's office and get this straightened out.

So she went to the principal's office and he asked, What's your name?

And the little girl said, Happy Butt.

The principal called the girl's mother to get this straightened out once
and for all.

After getting off the phone, he looked at the little girl and said,
Honey, your name is Gladys, not Happy Butt.

The girl then exclaimed, Glad ***, Happy Butt, what's the difference

Wanted to say good night. I heading to bed soon but had to take some Pm meds . I was in Gettysburg all day with my Scout troup and family that just moved up from FL. AHHHH. My headis killing me and Im so tired but I LOVE Gettysburg. Im glad we are only about 30 min from there.

Terri-So sad about Katelyn. I am sending up prayers for her family. I can't even imagine!!

Apri-Glad you stopped in to say hi.

I got some rally sad news before we left for camping Friday. I got an email from my friend. She was telling me about how sick her DH has been. I was in shock reading it, I kept hoping for a good ending, but by the end of her email she was telling me her DH had just passed away that morning It was very unexpected and he had only been sick a short time. So very sad. I just sat there crying. He leaves behind 3 kids ages 8, 9, and 11. I was feeling guilty that I was about to go on a fun weekend camping trip with my family and here she was going through one of the most difficult days of her life. We had to go to the funeral home today. She was holding up well. Please send some prayers her way. Her name is Melanie.

Well I need to go put DD to bed.

Good evening everyone!
Busy weekend here - I think I turned a corner on my recovery.

Yesterday we all went to the Pitt-Iowa game won by my Panthers 21-20 (sorry Melanie).

Today, I took Elizabeth shopping for her birthday (it's on Wednesday) and spent a boatload of cash at Limited Too. Got her a sparkly black dress for Formal Night and some school clothes. We had a lot of fun.

Then we all went out to dinner to celebrate Mina's birthday (which is tomorrow).

The very fact that I'm still awake at 9:30 shows that something has changed and that I am much closer to "back to normal" (whatever that is!)

Wow lots of birthdays!! Sounds like you had fun with Elizabeth today.

I talked to Jan tonight. They had a great time on their Wonder cruise last week. They leave again 2 weeks from yesterday for a 7 day Western. I guess she booked a 7 day for January with a friend and her and Dave go on another 7 day in September for their anniversary

We still managed to have a really good time camping, even with the sad news from my friend. As always the time went really fast. Tomorrow we are cleaning out the camper and it won't be back at our house again until spring I am always sad when camping season ends.

My dad is a big civil war history nut. He would love to live 30 minutes from Gettysburg. He just went there recently. I have only been there once. I would love to go back there someday. We are thinking of doing a Washington DC trip in the next couple of years, so we would probably go then. Glad you had fun. Hope you are feeling better tomorrow.

Honestly Okie, I didn't even watch it. I'm not a big Steelers fan. I watch when they are in the playoffs. College sports (specifically basketball) are what I follow. I heard the Steelers stunk it up though.
