Morning all,

I will be sure and tell the Hammer to look at the boards when he gets home tonight from work.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MINA
Hope you have a great day:goodvibes

Each morning seems to be getting colder and colder here. I have 2 pairs of socks on this morning just to keep my feet warm, plus they are right by the heater vent. Next weekend we will probably have to buy a small portable electric heater for the front part of the RV. It seems to loose the heat due to the huge front windows, even with the drapes drawn. Brrrrrrrr!!

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Bill, Shell, hope you both feel better soon:hug:
Those darn colds can really be miserable:sad2:

I'll be back and forth today, I have alot of business calls to make today.

Kathy

At home today as my throat feels like sandpaper. If anyone has any remedies, please pass them along.

Shoot, that's an easy one miss woogal. You need to gargle with sum tea tree oil an then poor sum rubbin alcolhol on a maxi pad then rap it round yer neck overnight. :thumbsup2

GOOD MORNING BFF-IL!

Good Morning Dawn :wave2:

Duesey says, "Play ball Mama. It always makes me feel better". :headache:

Bummer Shell. Hope you feel better soon. I am all about honey. Tea with honey, followed by a spoonful of honey straight. It really does help.

Well I know you probably would NEVER use this remedy since it has alcohol in it, but here is what my mom always did for us and it really did feel good on the throat.

1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon whiskey

warm slowly while stirring until thin enough to drink. If needed add a bit more of juice and whiskey to make it thinner.

Then slowly sip it down while still warm. sometimes it was just too sweet or thick to go down so

she also would mix that into a hot cup of tea, which made it taste a bit better and it still worked.

Kathy

It really did sooth the threoat and ease a cough.

  How about some Bud Lite Lime??? The fizz will help clear out crud in the throat and the cold will ease any inflammation (like ice on an injury)...

  Or you can gargle with salt water. Lick the salt off the rim of a margarita glass, take a drink and gargle.

Repeat frequently and you'll soon notice the pain is gone...:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Seriously, I like hot tea.:goodvibes

Feel better soon, BFF!

Morning Nana's!!

Lorna, sorry to hear about your friend. :grouphug:

Shell, hope you get to feeling better. :thumbsup2

Not much going on here today. Still nursing sick kids back to health. Brayden looks like he's becoming the next to fall ill. :sad2:

I hope I can get everyone over this before this coming weekend or our trip to Park City may not happen. :scared1:

Going to rain again today and its pretty cool outside......I think I'd better start a fire in the fireplace to warm up the house this morning!! (the kids love it when I do because they like to fall asleep on the floor in front of it.)

Hi Greg,

hey if the fireplace makes the kids fall asleep in front of it, I would have a fire going all the time :thumbsup2

I hope Brayden doens't catch Strep from Holly.:sad2:
With everyone in the same house it is pretty hard not to spread stuff unfortuantley.:scared:

OMG I can't believe I missed 19 pages. I promise to go back and read them all but wanted to check in and say hi first since I've been gone all weekend. MIL is still here and should be leaving today but her flight is delayed a few hours which had caused major drama.

I saw this recipe last week on the news. I just printed it off and thought I would share it. It looked and sounded yummy!

Brownie Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/4 cup baking powder
1 tsp salt
1-1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cups milk
1 tbsp vanilla
1/4 butter

Mix together and place in a 9 x 13 pan

In a separate bowl mix together:
1-1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
2 cups hot water

Method:
Gently pour the separate mixture over a large spoon into the batter. this method allows the liquid to bake through the batter and forms a sauce at the bottom of the dish.

bake at 350 for 1-1/2 hours. cool at room temperature. serve warm and top with vanilla ice cream.

Back to doing :laundy: DH is also hosting Monday night football party here, so we have to clean:headache:
