if the clubs arnt over crowded it is pretty easy to get the older one to be put down to the lower age group if you talk to the counselors and tell them they are cruising together. I know a few people who have done this with kids, that were together. When the age is that close. In the past anyway it was up to the counselors and unless the age group was too crowded they always let the kids be together, so keep fingers crossed.

Truly this is a situation that has me pretty ticked off at DCL because no one notified us nor had I seen it announced anywhere. Given what a big deal it is and how important it is for kids to enjoy the club situation for parents to have a chance to have a little adult time...this is huge - especially for past cruisers who make plans based on their past experience. I think DCL really dropped the ball on this one.

Jeff i just found this on themain board about the changes:

At this time it is only a trial for the summer 7nt cruises on the Magic
They are trying it out to see how it will work and what the feed back is

To my knowledge they haven't started this on the Wonder as they do not have an Ocean Quest on that ship

As of right now the ages on the Wonder are what they show on the Disney cruise line website
3-5
5-7
8-12 in the lab
13-17 in the stack

Wow I have so much to catch up on.
I spend hours today in my storage getting stuff I haven't seen in years for my yard sale this weekend. IF you name it I have it.

I even found a um lets say something special for the ladies that I don't even know where it came from or who's it was. Oh and the batteries still worked. Rick and I laughed so hard I was hoping to get to the bathroom. It freaks me out to think of who was in my stuff and put that there. I got a weird look from Rick. lolol

Well I have so much stuff I could pay for the trip in full if I have a good sale. I have half of it still in storage because i have no more yard room to put it. I'm aiming for a cabana massage with the money I make. Wish me luck. This is getting me even more excited for the trip and anxious to see how much I make just to spend it on Mickey.

Oh geez, Denise & Joanna.... thats not the "real" pricing. I just checked a couple haunts and knocked 1500 off what you found. There's a lot of experienced cruisers surrounding you and we can help.... all ya gotta do is give a lil whistle.

Maybe that is why they didn't notify us, because it doesn't affect our cruise.

good luck on the sale. I had too much for one sale too. so have one now and then in a couple of weeks get out the rest of the stuff and what is leftover from the first sale and do it again.
we did awesome that way.

We've had this cruise booked for some time, but weren't sure we were going. We recently bought a new house, sold our old house and moved my DM in with us so it's been a little crazy.

This will be our third DCL sailing. We did the Eastern Magic, the Western Magic with Costa Maya and then this trip coming up. We loved our previous trips and enjoyed getting to know fellow cruisers on the Dis.

I know our DD is hesitant about going on this cruise since none of her previous cruise buddies joining us. So, if there are any other girls that are looking for a pen pal let me know. Matt is much easier but I know he really enjoyed emailing cruise buddies before our previous trips.

I am Kathy and my husband is also named Greg and we have a Greg posting here too, plus another cruisers name is Greg, so thats 4 Gregs on this cruise
We are cruising without the kids they are all grown but sometimes they do come along. i wont state my age but my kids swear I lived in a cave with my pet dinosaur

I am the quiet one of the group. I am very shy and withdrawn, just ask anybody
This will be our 17th DCL cruise, the 3rd with the bananaheads

we are kind of crazy at times but we all love to cruise and make new friends, so welcome aboard.


Jeff has a DD the right age for Nicole and Pat is bringing her grandaughter who is also the right age, I'm sure they will all love to get aquainted before the cruise. Lots of other kids too.

Shell (WOOGAL) will contact you and send you a cruise mates list so you can figure out who we all are. Be prepared, most of us have posted pictures.

Please dont be shy, just jump right in and start posting. we have a few others who are new too. we chat about all kinds of things to pass the time for the cruise to get here. So jump right in
