No I emailed Carol and she got them all on Friday. She said she needed to look at them to make sure all was well and then package them up and send to each of us and that we'll have them this week. I don't really worry about it since there really isn't anything in there - it's all more symbolic than anything.

I booked through Carol but got my docs when everyone else did:confused3 I'll have to email her and let her know.

Hi Nanas,

How is everyone doing tonight?

I got some bad news in an email from my church when I got home: our worship leader, Mary Barrett, a wonderful woman about 46 years old lost her battle with cancer.

So sorry for you and her other friends, as well as her family. It's always hard, but seems much worse when it is one so young.

Docs came yesterday. We are READY!

Let me guess, Is Carol an ex nanahead?

I use All Seas Travel, Probably the number one agency that books Disney, but I also use them for all my other non Disney related travel news. I like that they are open 7 days a week and just a phone call away and not an online agency. The onboard credit is an added bonus, but not one that I would book because of. I use them because I know they are a large enough agency that if I had a problem the cruise lines would make it all better ASAP after one phone call to them.:)

No Carol is with DFW Cruises and she is a DCL specialist and offers great onboard credit and is also available 7 days a week via phone and email. She also helped me out on the California part of my trip for the Mexican Riviera. She booked a large group of people that I am sailing with (maybe) next August to Tortola but I got stuck with Dreams due to a bad decision on my part. Thus, I found Carol and she offered everyone $200 in OBC and has in my opinion been very responsive to any questions I have had.

Wow things are really slow around here.....

It's still been quite quiet here today. I decided to be in charge of dinner tonight (I actually do it a lot) and was tired of all the things I usually do and it was a tad nippy to go out on the deck and grill. So I searched for easy crock pot chicken recipes and found a ton of things that have six ingredients or less. I made one today and it was fantastic and probably the easiest thing I have ever cooked..so I thought I'd share the recipe.

1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans whole kernal corn, drained (i used frozen and just thawed under water)
1 cup bottled thick and chunky salsa - i used our grocery store's homemade salsa which is better than any jarred stuff.
5 or 6 skinless boneless chicken breast halves (about 2 lbs)
1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese

In slow cooker, mix together the black beans, corn and 1/2 cup of the salsa. Top with the chicken, then pour remaining 1/2 cup of salsa over the chicken. Cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until chicken is tender and white throughout; do not overcook or the chicken will be dry. Sprinkle cheese on top, cover and cook until the cheese melts (about 5 minutes)

I used more salsa and probably a little more cheese and served with Mexican Rice (Goya brand/the best).

Try it. You'll like it.

Hi Nanas,

How is everyone doing tonight?

I got some bad news in an email from my church when I got home: our worship leader, Mary Barrett, a wonderful woman about 46 years old lost her battle with cancer. She was at church leading worship just a few weeks ago; then she left for Nashville to record some songs that she had written and had never been able to record. She got very ill in Nashville, and when she came home she went into hospice. It is just so hard to understand. Please remember her husband, Joe, and her mother in your prayers.

Sorry to hear that Lisa! We will definitely keep the family and friends in our prayers.

That is a great picture! I can't wait to see that either, except that means the cruise is almost over:guilty: Lets hope the first part of the week goes by really slow!

Thanks Jeff and Tonya for DCL videos. I love the horn battle. I can't wait to hear it in person:cool1:

Hi nanas-I have been running:car: the kids around sice 4:00. Finally just got home. We went to tutoring, haircut, and then to dinner. Now I have to go help with homework:headache:

Here's another chicken recipe - this one from Family Fun magazine.

A good teriyaki sauce gives grilled chicken a rich auburn color. Our homemade version includes just the right amount of ginger to give it an equally appealing taste. While you can also use boneless breasts for this recipe, boneless thighs stay moister during grilling.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
MARINADE
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic
2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
2 teaspoons dark sesame oil

TERIYAKI CHICKEN
8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (about 4 ounces each)
Sesame seeds, toasted in a skillet
Cooked rice
Scallion tops, cut into 2-inch-long strips (optional)
1. Place the chicken thighs in a gallon-size zip-lock bag and add the marinade ingredients. Press the air out of the bag and seal it. Turn the bag to thoroughly coat the chicken, then place it in a bowl and refrigerate it for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight), turning the bag occasionally. Remove the meat from the refrigerator 20 minutes before grilling.

2. Prepare a charcoal fire or set a gas grill to medium-high, close the lid, and heat until hot -- about 10 to 15 minutes.

3. Remove the chicken from the bag and discard the marinade. Grill the thighs until they are no longer pink inside, about 5 minutes per side on a gas grill.

4. Transfer the thighs to a cutting board and let them rest for about 5 minutes, then slice each piece at a diagonal. Sprinkle on the toasted sesame seeds. Serve over rice, garnished, if you like, with scallion strips. Serves 6 to 8 (well, the Recipe says 6 - 8, I think its more like 4, if y'all eat like we do)

We haven't grilled them yet, the season being over. Last time I sauteed the chicken thights, and tomorrow, i'm trying baking them.

Thank you guys for the thoughts and prayers for my friend's husband and mom. Our church is mourning, and will be mourning for some time.

Am I right in noting that a lot of people on this board have been getting news of the loss of a loved one, or friend of the family? It makes you realize how sickeness and death touch everyone around you, everyone everywhere. I guess that should be obvious, but we don't think about it much. Good to remember when we get irritated at somebody because they don't seem to have their mind on their job, or something like that. You never know what they have going on in their lives, what they may be dealing with.

Anyway, thanks for your sympathy.
Back to the craziness of the Nanas!

Nice picture Okie....aaawww

Tonya, loved the horn--makes me smile

Lisa, :grouphug: for your church family loss

We are almost to 250 on the 09 board!

The sports banquet tonight was very nice.

Chat with you in the morning!
