11/27/04 the sequel.....

Hello everyone. I hope & trust you all had a wonderful Christmas & wish you a new year full of wonderful blessings!

Well, I had to cancel our rebooked ressie. Whaaat?! I can almost hear you screaming....Yeah, we had to purchase a brand new car & realized that we won't be able to afford the cruise this year. I won't go on vacation unless it's completely paid in full before going & it'll be a bit tough to do that on top of our new car payments.

OK, so here's another scream coming....we all agree that we'd like to plan to go on a Royal Caribbean cruise in Summer '06. Any suggestions on this?

Does RCCL have a board like this one?

Have a wonderful day!

Ah yes, I remember running into you whilst you were picking out your wish list! LOL

Hi Amanda - I talked to Dana today and she is going to call me tomorrow with the results - I am still thinking of adding my sister and her family as a huge surprise for them. Just thinking about it and thinking I've got to do it soon if I am going to do it. I will call Disney tomorrow - took the day off tomorrow to get the house back together. Have a nice day tomorrow.

Are you sick lady??!!?!???!!???!!! :earseek:
Just joking, sorry that you had to cancel! On the plus side tell us all about the new wheels chica!!!! The only other place I know of is www.cruisecritic.com and there is a RCCL board over there, but they do not seem to be a friendly bunch like the DIS. Good to hear from you though, keep on posting girl!

DId you transfer your ressie over to here? Or are you waiting on her price quote? Isnt she great? She joy is infectuous I think......I just told the kids that I was trying to talk Daddy into taking us on another cruise ( yeah right like I need his permission hehehe :earboy2: ) and CJ said COOL will Zac and Nic be there??? LOL He really got along so well with them! You all are in NC right? What town again, remind me.....I may come a knocking one day ! LOL

Millie-good to hear from you, even if you are desserting us for RC (just kidding). I'm glad you had a good Christmas. Details, details on the new wheels!! That's an exciting Christmas present!!! I keep my cars a long time, so a new car is a big deal to me. I had my last car for 12 years!

I totally missed all the posts about coming to dinner on New Year's Eve. I don't know how I overlooked them until now!!! I would have told you to come on over!! What's a few hours drive among friends. You could have all spent the night. We would have been thrilled, crab legs AND cruise buddies, it dosen't get better than that (unless there's alcohol involved!).

Diane, hope you had a good time at the Jersey shore. That sounds like so much fun. I read an article in Parents magazine a couple years ago and they were raving about the Jersey Shore/Boardwalk being a great family vacation place.

As far as Christmas, I got Greg Scuba lessons and I got a shopping trip to Chicos, a couple CDs, a necklace and a couple picture frames for cruise photos.

I pick up my prints this week at Costco. I was so disappointed that they couldn't do them while we shopped Fri night. They said since there were so many they wouldn't be done until Mon.

I have some prints to send to Diane, Amanda and Kim. I have Diane's address. Amanda and Kim, email me your address if you would like me to forward pictures to the kids. My email is pops2003@aol.com.

Have a great week. Miss you all!

Millie - we did Rccl two years ago and (don't shoot me folks) it was by far our favorite cruise. We were on the explorer which has the rock wall, ice rink, mini golf etc. We would do RCCL everytime if we didn't have young kids, we did Disney specifically for our son. Let me know if you want any more specifics.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great christmas and a merry new year, heres hoping we have a peaceful & prosperus 2005.
We finally recieved our postcard from CC that we sent to ourselves!!! It said 'remember the good times'.

Hi Amanda - between the two ressies (for us and DM) Dana dropped the price almost $350 dollars! I am still toying with taking my sister and her family and Dana told me to go ahead make the ressie and she could help with that as well. With that much in saving I might really do it. I can justify it by thinking the money I saved with the 10% and then changing back to the Nov 26th cruise which saved a couple of hundred - and putting the kids in my mom's cat 11 vs cat 6 it shouldn't really cost too much more right? I took the day off today to get the kids rooms re-organized - what a chore!!!! They have way too much stuff. By the way we live in Greensboro - probably not as far as you think from you guys. Come on up for the weekend! Talk to you soon and by the way Dana loves you!

April! That is awesome savings! I love Dana too! WHen you are done with the boys room can you come on down for a quick run thru of my kids rooms? I have decided that we just have too small of a house. BUT I loke cruising way more than I would like a bigger house, kwim? LOL

yeah!! i just received my castaway club membership card and i am listening to the CD right now....woo hoo. i'm having a party by myself right now :rockband: :rockband: :cheer2:

we are pondering on the december 11th eastern cruise now. i did a price comparison DCL, DU, Sam's Club, Expedia....surprisingly Expedia came in $100 cheaper than DU, then Sam's, then DCL.

I am telling you all, call DANA.. www.micdan.com call the number listed on her website, I'd be willing to bet that her qupte would be even lower than Expedia missmulan

uhmm april, I just noticed that we both joined in Jun 2001, yet I have almost 10 times as many posts as you???? Is that good or bad?? LOL I know I know I am sorry....

SO since I seem to be the only sad poster left, I guess this thread is done huh? Such a shame. :-(

Hi guys, I'm still here and also buried under snow.

Darci - what happened to the deal you were trying to get for 2006???

I got my club card the other day.

Kim

Kim-

Here is the email I received from All Seasons. I don't know if that is an additional $100 off the rate on the website or not. I got his email just before Christmas and didn't get a chance to follow up again. It isn't much, but if nothing else it is a good excuse to go. As if we need an excuse!!!!

Here's what we can offer you for your group. Because we're a bit limited still with the group space for 2006, I want to add some extra value to everyone in your group. In the past, I've been able to guarantee rates for a month or so, but I'm not able to do that with 2006. So, what we can do is this: For each of your family who deposits their Dec 9, 06 cruise from now till Jan 15, we'll offer them $100 off of Disney's rates plus a limited edition Disney Cruise Line wristwatch. These watches are very nice and I've got a handful left.

What you'll need to do is encourage all of your family to call and mention the Borcherding group when they book. Anybody here will be able to help them. That will ensure that everyone gets the group special.

Hi guys and girls - just checking in.

I think we've decided on our next Orlando vacation! This is the bad part, I don't think we'll be heading to any of the WDW parks. :earseek: The ticket prices are just a little too rich for my blood since we'd only be visiting the parks for 2 days. We're planning on renting a house w/pool near Orlando and visiting US/IOA, Sea World and possibly Busch Gardens or a Gulf beach. Hopefully we'll be able to swing a dolphin swim at Discovery Cove since this is something I've always wanted to do. We wanted to stay onsite at US/IOA at the HRH, but can't justify the $250/night when we can rent a house with pool for under $1000 for the entire week. The plus is DH is more willing to hit all the parks we can during the day if he can come home to a house at night and not a room. We're taking a male friend with us and 5 people in one room is just toooo much! Now I've got to learn all the ins and outs of US/IOA and Sea World. I'm soo excited! I love planning the trips as much as I do taking them!
