Sandy--Steph is still on and we'll try for ressies when we get to port unless some come available before that time. I'm still planning on taking the consolation prize at the Outlook Bar at 3:30 on Sunday (we all have to make sacrifices).

First near disaster packing today--dropped a hot iron, but missed my foot, the kids and the dog so aside from a minor mark on our carpet, it wasn't a real disaster. Found my drunk snorkeler swimming in the tall grass, so life is good. Gotta go pack again!

Some have booked the Romantic Escape at Sea (REAS) package add on that enables you to make Palo and spa ressies in advance (plus some other romantic doo-dads are included).

My son has the flu (after he got the flu shot several weeks ago), my daughter is on antibiotics from a spider bite and I'm just stressed about being prepared and ready to go. Do they have refrigerators on board? I need to bring her antibiotics and keep it refrigerated. Anybody here an expert on spider bites??

Oh thank goodness!! I thought you left already from animal kingdom, I thought you were spending a few days there before the cruise. I'm so sorry about your kids, how stressful. I have read on these boards that there are refridgerators, but that they are not that cold. Someone who has sailed Disney before can probably give you more specifics. Hope your kids are on the mend soon!!

Okay, I guess I'll be dressed in my red and black I.U. (Indiana University) polo shirt and jeans at the port. I'll be the one with the gray hair and full gray beard pouting. Here's the response TSA gave me to my inquiry:

"We regret to advise you, Mr. Spielman, that wearing a Snow White costume while flying may place TSA officials in an awkward position. TSA makes every effort to assure that individuals who must go through the third phase of screening—performing a more scrutinized check--are screened by TSA officials of their own gender. Cross-dressing Disney characters often causes confusion for these individuals leading to delays at the security check-points. Just last week, we found it necessary to stop a suspect at a checkpoint dressed as Piglet. Not knowing what gender Piglet was in the first place made it even more difficult for us to decide a TSA official to perform a third-phase check creating huge delays at the Bangor, Maine airport. We have sent a list of characters that you should avoid resembling. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter."

Well, okay, I may have paraphrased a wee bit, but it's 3 a.m. and I'm chugging coffee and packing clothes--I've got to do SOMETHING to keep me entertained!!!

missmulan--they do have small electric built in "coolers" in each room, but they are not true refrigerators. Some people have had good luck putting drinks, etc. in them along with a bag of ice and kept things "refrigerated". Tell your room steward you need ice as soon as you meet him/her. You can borrow a true refrigerator for medical reasons such as yours, but you probably don't need another piece of "furniture" in your room. I would try the ice/cooler combo first.

Last weather forecast from the Space Coast. Looks like we will get the edge of the Texas weather on Thanksgiving morning with showers and thunderstorms likely. Supposed to clear by Thanksgiving afternoon. Clear and low 70's of Friday, Partly cloudy and 78 on Sailaway Day!! See you soon...some of you in line before boarding. Look for the old guy with the good looking wife and two young couples, all better looking than me!

WOOOO HOOOO ... yesterday was my last day of work before vacation. It was a LONG 2 days to get caught up on everything before I left. But now I am FREE!!!!

Ok, 4 more hrs of work, then I am officially on vacation. We have an early flight out tomorrow morning 8:05am .... Well early for my DW We have Thanksgiving dinner at the Magic Kingdom planned. I will have my laptop with me, so I can check the Dis Forums and download digital photo.

Oh... BTW if anyone with compact flash needing a download (or a USB cable) and CD brunt look me up on the ship. I will have a few blank CDs or you can bring your own. Would be more then happy to make a backup to CD for you.

Question for all … who is getting the internet package on board? I was thinking of taking a real vacation and not opt’ing for it. Oh well back to work.

Diane--I don't get blank stares. I get loud, long laughs and threats to have me removed to an institution, but that happens all of the time so I'm never sure if it's changed much due to the cruise.

My wife doesn't understand my Snow White thing, so she just lets me wander around the neighborhood in my dress and figures someone will return me after a while. My DW fully understood the UPS thing, but when she had to call work and tell them I was going to be late because I had ran nearly a mile away and couldn't get back, it was my boss that didn't understand dressing as Snow White--he's always been partial to dressing up as Ariel (the Pooh figure just doesn't do ANYTHING for the Ariel costume).

That probably doesn't help much, does it?

Kim--I'm so sorry to hear it's snowing there. It's rained here for three straight days and our temps are now into the 40s. They're predicting snow for Thursday and Friday. Snow on Friday would be fine--it makes getting out of this weather all the more inviting, although dressing for two temperature zones might be a bit tricky.

Disneyfan73--thank you for the invite. I'm hoping my laptop will be sufficient to store the pics, but I may take you up on the invitation if it isn't. Have a safe flight and we will see you Saturday in WARM temperatures.

I love the internet! Just printed my boarding passes and am doing last minute DIS board checks. How do people live without it?

I give my DH small Disbits at a time, he could never understand the whole concept. He does ask me things like, "What do people on the boards say about (fill in the blank)?"

We're planning on leaving tonight about 5:30 PM. We'll pick up my stinky sweaty son at b-ball practice and head to the airport for our overnight stay. I'll try to check in before we leave, but if not, see you on board!
