Hooray- I'm FREE!!!!
Got out of work early today so now in vacation mode. Still have stuff to pack thought and I really can't sleep at night, I have the lists running in my head.

I do not discuss the goings on - on these boards with DH. When I give him a tip from the boards he looks at me like I have 2 heads, Imagine if I told him about Snow White and Piglet at the airport in Maine? That was soooo funny, I read it at work and almost fell off my chair.

Ok, DH is dropping off canine son as we speak. I've had 2 glasses of wine so far and I'm in VACATION MODE!

I'll probably be stopping by the Radisson sometime on Friday to meet up with some friends who are staying there. Look for a tall 6'3" man (DH - John), short 5'3" woman with highlighted shoulder length curly hair (me), 6'0" oldest DS and youngest who is the same height as me. If you see us with a very tall Brit (6'5") and his short wife (my size) it's me! Come over and say hi!

Oh My, you guys won't believe what happened to us. I don't know if any of you heard about the snow but Chicago got much more than expected. Well, last night at 6pm while we are eating diner the power geos out. Com ed 1st says it will be up at midnight so we thought not a big deal. As the house starts to get colder i tell DH maybe we should go to a hotel or my parents or his. "you are overreacting..." he says. So we go to bed with 4y/o in bed with us as he is scared with no night light. he proceeds to keep us up all night. I couldn't sleep worrying that baby is freezing and keep going into his room to cover him. We get up this morning, no power, and house is now in the 50's. Dh and I take showers and show up to Thanksgiving dinner with wet heads and dirty kids (much to cold to bathe them) Oh yeah, as we leave for thanksgiving dinner the car wouldn't start so we unload everything and jump into our van. At Thanksgiving kids are animals because they are exhausted. Now we are at my Father-in-laws house as he is out of town and has heat. Now comed says no power until 10:40 pm tonight.

OK, so here iswhat i am thankful for:

DH and i are still able to laugh
We have a home with heat to sleep in tonight
I did all my packing and laundry already

WE ARE GOING ON THE MICKEY BOAT SOON AND THIS WILL ALL BE BEHIND US!!!

Since everyone is starting to describe themselves, we will be the very frantic and frazzled family at the port. No, DH is 6"1" and very slender. I am 5'3" and not. with 4y/o in Blue Mickey t-shirt.

LOL Kim I like your descrip of you yourself, DH is slender and I am not! LOL I am going to have to use that from now on! I am sorry fro what you went thru with the power! I just got back from my IL's house for dinner. It was great and I am stuffed! How am I ever going to get motivated to finish packing????????We are elaving tommorrow and I am not even packed. Oh joy! LOL IT will all be okay! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Please remind me, DIS meet 3pm I know that much for sure..........Outlook bar maybe? I forget the location, is this an indoor or outdoor location?

Amanda - our meet is 3:00 on Saturday near the Outlook bar. It's on deck 10 - outside.

We'll be getting up at 4:00am so I don't expect to log on in the morning. I hope everyone has a safe trip and we'll see you at the port or at the meet or somewhere/sometime on the sihp. I am sooooooooooo ready for this trip.

Hello, everyone...last check-in before I leave tomorrow for good ole sunny Orlando! Had a packing "moment" earlier when I realized that I had way too much stuff packed...and went with two suitcases!!! (Was trying for one big one...but, boy! It was heavy!!) Gosh...how in the world does ANYONE pack one suitcase...and live to tell about it? I just have so much that I have to bring!

I honestly cannot believe that we are leaving tomorrow...talked to the family today, and, besides from my BIL who has strep and my sis who has bronchitis (!), we are all excited about cruising together at last!! I even had my not-so-Disneyfied sis thank me for all the work in planning the trip! That was nice...and unexpected.

Flight out at 2:55pm tomorrow...so thankful I went with the later flight as my parents, sis and bil are going out at 6am!! Yikes! I might actually get some sleep tonight. It really does NOT seem real....I keep thinking about all the ship pics I've seen and can't seem to get it through my head that I'll actually be seeing it for myself soon!

We made it home YEAH!! Power is back on and the house is heating up. Going to bed early now to make up for lost sleep. Will check in tomorrow before leaving home at noon.

Apprently the board is just TOO obsessive. We're leaving for the airport in less than an hour and I'm here saying good-bye. I'll be the one with **sniff** NOT a Snow White outfit but an I.U. (Indiana University) v-neck t-shirt (red with black stripes), a neatly groomed gray beard (DW made me) and very short gray/white hair along with my gaggle. DW is a good two inches taller with brown hair. Also, by the time we get this whole airplane flight thing over with we'll both have nervous tics. See you tomorrow!

Ok, we are all defrosted and leaving for the airport in an hour as well.

Curt - you should do what I do and take zanax (flight anxiety after emergency landing two years ago) You won't have nervous tics or hardly notice your children for that matter.

just freshly arrived here in Orlando...kinda cold...maybe 70s?? i am hooked on this board. we were in the airport lounge and i had to check it, now we're at the hotel and here i am again. sitting one row in front of on the plane was another couple going on the disney magic. she took out her cruise info and i was able to see it. what a coincidence!

It was wonderful meeting all of you on the cruise! We had a great time--kind of exhausting, but lots of fun! We had a rather rough flight home then got delayed at the Indianapolis airport when one of the children left a backpack unattended. I then had to go and explain to the Indianapolis Airport police that a ragged stuffed animal was NOT a threat to national security and would likely not explode. In all, though, it was a good trip. Talk with you again soon!

Whew! WE are back home as well! I had an awesome time, and am now in vacation depression mode I want to thank Curt, Gailyn, April and Diane, as my kids had an even more magical time thanks to their children!
Did anyone else rebook? I am sorry I missed some of you! We had a great tea on Sunday and only wished everyone could have attended. Maybe I met some if you an didnt realize it? LOL We had late seating with the LAPLAPL rotation and it worked out beautifully with the children. More later

We had an awesome time and it was so great to meet all of you that we had the opportunity to. Nick and Zacch had a great time meeting CJ and Chris. It made our trip complete. Sorry that we didn't meet Izzy and others. The tea was great and we had the PLAP rotation and I loved being in Lamures for formal night. We rebooked for December 3 will try the western. tons of laundry to do will check in later.

Well, we're back home after driving for 2 days- Boy is my butt sore!

It was wonderfull to meet you guys. We had such a nice time at tea- and we thought we wouldn't be able to get reservations.... Ha... 22 ressies and 11 girls!

Had a great time with Millie (Scrappy) at Rockin Bar D dancing to the 70s. It was nice to hook up since our husbands don't like that sort of thing.

Had a nice talk with Denise at CC- not shy at all, did you talk to everyone on board?

Where did the week go? Once we hit the ports the trip flew by!
I wish we were still on board but since I still feel the rocking, it's almost like being there.

So much laundry, so little time.
