Welcome!! I have 3 daughters 4, 6 and 9. It might be fun for your daughter to get a pen pal through the board. My daughter has been emailing traceycooper's daughter and they are so excited to meet. My 6 year old would love a pen pal. She will be almost 7 by cruise time.

I can hardly wait to do my cruise album, except I guess that would mean the cruise was over!

The weather in late November will be past the hurricane season. Of course I say that sitting here in Florida looking at the third Hurricane in six weeks coming right at me! Hopefully, this is it!!

We've gone on cruises at this time of year twice before, and the weather is good. Can be a little cool at sailaway, but also can be delightful. Last year we had cool, so this year will be delightful! (I hope!) It quickly warms up as we head south! Castaway water can be cool, at least by Florida summer standards. Most northerners are fine with it.

Welcome to the best cruisin' group ever, Scrappy! Course, I'm a first-time cruiser as well, but I have a good feeling about us all! Absolutely can NOT believe how quickly time is moving...yippee! I know you guys will think I'm crazy, but I already have my cruise suitcase open, and I've been putting sale items in there one-by-one. I know....addicted.

Sorry to hear that Michelle will not be cruising with us-I can't imagine how disappointed I would be in the same situation, but at least you have plans for a later cruise!

It's amazing how many scrapbookers are on our cruise-too bad Disney doesn't have scrapbooking classes onboard (but think of your luggage THEN! )!

What excites you the most specifically?! I'm really excited to actually SEE the Magic and go explorin'...plus, I'm super-pyched to go snorkeling in the Caribbean for the very first time! Most of all, I can't wait to make more memories with my family-watch out!! We can be pretty boisterous when we get together!

I am really excited for a few things!!! In no particular order!!!

1. When they announce us as we walk on the ship.
2. Actually pulling away from the dock on the first day.
3. Boarding the plane that morning knowing we are off on our dream vacation.
4. The surrial bath
5. Eating lobster on the cruise
6. Watching my husband parasail at Castaway Cay (and getting great pictures of it for my scrapbook)
7. Buying jewelry in St. Thomas
8. Having 7 days of quality time with my husband and girls.
9. Dressing up for formal night and taking the coolest Christmas card pictures ever!!!
10. Hearing the ship horn.
11. Meeting traceycooper and family for ice cream.



Give me some time. . .I am sure I will come up with more. FYI for you scrapbookers . . .keep your list for your scrapbook. Would make for neat journaling!!!!

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been away from the thread for awhile. WE have been busy! We just got back today from the 09-19 sailing of the Wonder and it was fantastic!!!!!!! All it did was whet my appetite for this upcoming 7 day sailing though! LOL Castaway Cay, although it did take some damage, was still beautiful! I still have not told the kids about this cruise, they have no idea we are going yet.
Tracey, did you decide to keep the PS I made for you on THanksgiving Day?
I met some fellow DISers on this trip and became good friends with our tablemates, who just happened to be DISers! LOLBig shout out to ericamanda01!
Michelle, I am sorry to hear that you are no longer cruising with us, but I hear ya girl, as I am in the same situation, every fiscal quarter that is a great chance that my job will be cut, which is the very reason the kids dont know about this cruise yet. BUt seeing as my final payment is due on Sat I guess we are going for sure huh? LOL

Sounds great to me too! I am very new to scrap-booking but now I am hooked I am full tilt. My ds's first football season is being documented really well. I don't know what I am looking forward to the most - we have such a packed two weeks while we are there in Orlando. I have never stayed on-site and we are doing Port Orleans riverside for the first two nights before moving over to Universal Royal Pacific for four nights. I have done so much planning for this trip that my DH is convinced that the trip isn't going to be as fun to me as planning it. I am an Operating Room Supervisor and have been working 50-60 hours a week since about March. Needless to say just not getting up at 4:45 for two whole weeks in a row is a vacation in itself! I am looking forward to meeting all of you and having a great vacation. By the way I have already made my door magnet and have put it away in my document folder. It can't come fast enough for me!

3:00 near the Outlook bar looks like the plan. We can say Diversions if the weather is really nasty but it WILL NOT BE nasty.

Are we doing anything else to recognize each other on boarding day? I got the lime green Mickey's at Home Depot and I think I read someone on this board was making luggage tags with them. We could hang one on our carry ons or stick it on our lanyards. Or we could do something unique to our group - but then we would need some imagination and coordination. I'm short on imagination!!

On the my recent Wonder, we all kinda just wore our Mickey heads every day and then if we saw someone wearing one, we could chose whethere or not to approach them after our initial meeting. I liked that.
You all I still have not told my kids about this cruise. But seeing as I just made the final payment, I guess we are definitely going huh?
I was going to plan excursions, but after this past cruise, I decided I want more ship time. I bought the 4 day pass to the rainforest and only used it 2 days because of our excursion in Nassau and then Castaway Cay.
In case you all were not aware there was some new packages at the spa. I only recall the relax package, as that is what my DH and I got. It was $125 for Rasul ( Surial Bath), 25 minutes in the balancing capsule (this thing is heaven! I want one!) and a 1 day pass to the rainforest. One thing I did change was our seating. We normally opt for early dining, but the time we chose late dining since it was just DH and I, and we loved it! It freed the day up so much and made such a difference at dinnertime. We did not have to rush to get ready, and had time for cocktails. So we decided that we like late seating better, and I had my TA change our dining to late yesterday.
Oh yeah, I was also going to inquire about adding my parents on to our ressie, and was told that the ship has reached capacity? Doesnt that sound strange?

Hi all, just back from a days hard work, i feel shattered when i get in then turn on the computer & it cheers me up instantly!!

April riddle, i'm new to scrapbooking too, i started a class last week and loved it. I'm making an album for my grandad about grandmas life, then i'm gonna do one for the holiday.

No upgrades then if ship is full!!!!

Izzinmac - thinking about you, its even making headline news over here in England, i just hope things will have carmed down for when we arrive, there have been a lot of flights canceled & people losing there holidays, i would be devasted!!

That seems odd, given that I was just checking out the situation at disneycruiseline.com and everything but cat. 8 & 12 is still listed as available. It's that way on travelocity and expedia, too. Weird.

An idea for the green Mickey heads. You could write names on them in marker. You scrapbookers could use sticker letters too. I have a Quickkutz tool and may use it to cut out our names. Also, your local scrapbook store may have a die cut machine you could use to cut out the letters.

Just a thought!! Aren't you guys glad hurricane season will be over when we cruise!!!

My husband bought a tux on ebay this week-end for the cruise!! I can't wait for it to come. It should make for some great Christmas card photos!!!

HAPPY 2 MONTH MARK!!! Think we will have to celebrate the day tonight!!

Hello everyone! I can't believe how close it is getting to our magical cruise. It almost doesn't seem real. This is our first cruise so we are very excited to finally see and experience all the things we've read about and seen on the video. We have been assigned to cabin 7127. We are also flying in on November 25 and staying at Holiday Day Inn Resort on International Drive. We have decided to go to Seaworld on Friday. I will definately attend the cruise meet and look forward to meeting all of you.
