11/27/04 the sequel.....

Hey Amanda! I got the coolest postcard from Dana today! :teeth:

It's about 8 inches long and about 5 inches high and it has a glass bottle with a cork in it floating in the ocean and the bottle is filled with *pixie dust*, then when you tilt the card you see the ship inside it! I love it!

Did you get one?

I did! LOL I got it yesterday! My kids loved it and it is hanging on my fridge door as we speak.

Bump, so far it seems like this is not a very full sailing, of course I am basing that in the number of DISers participating in this thread! LOL
Man o man I can't believe it is March already!

Cool! I'm glad you got one too! I was showing it to everyone, I thought it was so neat! LOL :hyper:

I keep checking to see what the price is now and if any of the categories are gone yet. The price on the Cat. 6 is roughly 300.00 higher now than it was when I booked in January, that's going by Disney's price, it's about 600.00 more than the price I got with Dana. ::yes::

welcome eeyoreandpooh! You wil love the 7day cruise!!!!!

Michelle,
I can't even tell really if my price is higher, as I rebooked on board with the %10 offer. SO I really do not have a *base* price to go by. I do know that when I rebooked on board with Donna, I felt I got a great rate. When I got home I wasn't even going to transfer to Dana, because I thought, surely she can;'t beat that. But I dialed her up just in case, and lo and behold she did! I LOVE Dana! Are you booked somewhere precruise Michelle?

Welcome Aboard Jesse! Nice to have you here with us! :)

Amanda, I have a lovely couch reserved at Chateu Stephanie. LOL

Since we only live about 3 hours away from the Port we are just going to drive over in the morning. :)

Jesse,

You and your brothers will be around my boys and their friends ages. At the time of the cruise they will be 11, 12, 15 and my oldest DS, Andrew, will celebrate his birthday onboard when we're in St. Martin. I'm sure you guys will cross paths sometime.

Did your mom check out the new Ron Jon Resort? Really affordable and a cool pool if you don't need the "free" shuttle. www.ronjonresort.com . There's also some discount codes available. There are several threads on it on the Cruise Forum. Sorry, I'd search for you, but the search feature is down now.

So, whats every one up to? Its time to start getting to know one another. I participated in the thread for our Halloween cruise in 2003 and felt like some of my fellow DIS'ers were my pals by the time we boarded. We have been rather quiet up until now.
Let's get this party started! Guess what??? WE only have 8 more months until we sail! And to think I booked this thing with 13 months to go!!!!!!! Is anyone planning on rebooking aboard?

I can't remember if we have any other repeat cruisers? The only family I recall that is a repeat cruises is izzinmac. SO how about everyone else?

I am headed out of town tomorrow. I am going to Biloxi again. I have a problem, my brain thinks I am rich, but my wallet doesn't agree! LOL Anyone else have this same problem?

PS Denise, where abouts in PA do you live? One of my bestest friends hails in Media PA. I have never had the pleasure of getting up your way to see your country. AND oddly enough, her name is Denise too! LOL THat just hit me!

Have a fun time in Biloxi! I agree, let's get this party started!

That's really weird about your friend. I live in York, which is in the southcentral part of the state. Harrisburg is 45 minutes north, Philly is 1-1/2 hours east and Gettysburg is about 45 minutes west. We live in a great area because we live so close to so many great places, but the cost of living is reasonable. Baltimore is only about 45 minutes southeast of us.

I've never been to Media, but I know where it is. Small world!

Wow Denise! I never would have thought that the cost of living in PA is reasonable! I bet you all are still in the cold weather huh? It was a beautiful day here today!
Anyone want to claim some kids!?!?!? Mine are driving me nuts this evening! LOL

Just wanted to say a bright "hello" from spring-like Virginia! Most of my family who will be cruisin' with us are living in Rochester, NY (Eric, Linda, Tiffany, John, Todd and Janet) while the rest are out of Dayton, OH (Terri and Todd-yes, I now have TWO brothers named Todd!!-and kids: Matt, Moriah, and Micah).

I am trying to be patient as I wait my DCL DVD that I requested....ummm, 12 days and 13 hours ago! :hyper: That is my newest addiction...or WILL be, I'm sure! After that...watch out! It's the new Passporter DCL book (my first deluxe addition, no less)!!!

For those of you with teenagers, how are you preparing them for the cruise (especially if you haven't cruised before)??
I'll be with my nephews/niece next week and would like to start them thinking about the cruise. Wish me luck!

*dons snorkel and starts counting pennies for all those BINGO games*
:p IVY :p

Well, where I live in Pennsylvania it is reasonable. Definitely not reasonable in Philly area though. My brother's house there would sell here for about $125,000-150,000 less (and it would be built better too).

My DS and a friend's DS (16 & 15 when we cruise) are already getting really excited! We printed out Navigators and told them what kind of things to expect. Since both play basketball for their school team, they are excited about the 2 on 2 basketball tourney they have onboard. Go through the Navigators with them and highlight any activities that might interest them. Maybe have them correspond with someone's teen that will be onboard. I know that Jesse who posts on this thread is 16. My younger son and friend's son will also be on the cruise and they will be 11 & 12 when we cruise.

You might also want to get them a calendar to hang in their room and countdown the days until we cruise. Did you sign them up on the pre-cruise postcard thread that Verandah man runs? We got ours and my boys really enjoyed it.
