Back to whoever mentioned traceycooper. I know on Monday they were doing the dolphin swim. We are meeting them on Saturday morning for breakfast. Can't wait for our DD to finally meet (they have been pen pals for almost a year!!!).

I am getting so excited for the trip I can hardly stand it. Unfortunately I have 20 people coming to my house on Thanksgiving that I need to get ready for. Atleast once they leave we are heading for the airport! Yippeeee!!! Can't wait.

Gotta run to a field trip. Can't wait to meet you all!

I think that adult table will need supervision with a cross dresser wearing a swim diaper present, so why don't the 4 adults from our table join your group with Curt and Steph. This leaves a kids table of 8. That accomplishes my wish of happy kids and happy parents!

I like that idea, Popovich! Aside from the food fights, dancing atop the tables and eating food without utensils, I think that idea has great merit--and the kids' table probably won't be all that bad either. I'll try to remember that we are business casual and the swim diaper goes INSIDE the dockers.

a week and a half before we fly out to florida (i pack for me & the kids), a thanksgiving dinner to help with (at work, at pre-school & at home)...as if i'm not already stressed and now a possible airline strike? pray for me!

National Treasure?!!! Wow, that's great. DD8 had asked to go see it, now she can see it while cruising. We wanted to see Ladder 49.

Don't laugh... but I didn't know they played/showed movies also. Are these free & on a big screen? Cool!

DD is completely packed, I'll pack myself this wknd & dh will probably be packing while dd & I are setting up our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving Day while we watch the Macy's Parade.

Getting too excited about this cruise!

They have a beautiful movie theater on deck 5 with the colusium type seating. Seats a couple of hundred people. All free!!!

Thanks to CurtS for the gopher clipart (BIL will be thrilled!) and to Disneefun for posting the movie listings for our cruise! Yippee!! I definitely plan on watching the Incredibles and National Treasure...and maybe a few others beside!

On a down note...I woke up with the sniffles! So I'm laying low today, watching TV and surfin' the Web. I REALLY should work on the door signs too...!

Izzinmac - can you tell this would be our 1st cruise ever?! LOL!

No wonder people wanted to know about "which movies will they be showing?" I thought these were to be on TV - LOL!

I was saying to myself, "why would people go on a cruise & be so concerned about which movies will be playing...I don't want to stay in my room & watch tv." Now, I COMPLETELY understand.

I'm so darn glad I joined DisBoards! You guys are a wealth of information. I still have a few days to learn a few other things & tips... keep them coming!

I was told by the TA that DCL had major printer problems and that's the hold up. However, I keep seeing that people for Dec. cruises are getting their docs and I haven't so I don't know the deal. If they had big problems, you'd think they'd put Dec. on hold until they got caught up on all the Nov. sailings.

Secretly, I'm hoping for a big 'ol upgrade (sure, why not, gotta have some positive thoughts, right?) and that this is part of the hold up. However, I know that it's far more likely that I've just been lucky on my other cruises and it's just my turn to suffer. UPS and mail people have come and gone for today, so it's not to be today. Sigh...

Disneefun - this doesn't sound right to me. DCL having printer problems...you'd think they have that fix in a flash!

Everything always works out for a reason - maybe you're being upgraded to the royal suite

I've read that at times, people don't get their docs at all & when they show up at the port, everything is OK b/c they have all the ressie info. anyway.

Hooray! The countdown is in single digits.
DH put the Xmas decorations up outside today since it will be so cold when we get back.
Hopefully this weekend we will pack and get the tree up inside so when we get back I won't be too stressed. The kids are shopped for for the holidays

Horror- DS13 tried on dockers yesterday and 3 pairs too short! Holy growth spurt Mickey, I hope the pants I ordered online arrive in time.

I don't know about anyone else, but I can't believe that it's almost time to leave for FL!! I'm totally in a panick. I have a bulging pile of "stuff to pack" in the corner of our bedroom. I haven't gotten to the Christmas decorations yet, work has me stressed beyond a reasonable limit and I have not done any Christmas shopping!!!

Well, now I feel better. Thanks for letting me vent.

Now I can sit down with my list of things to do and start to delegate jobs to DH .

Went to see National Treasure last night after all (I was all set to wait till the cruise, but DH really wanted to go, so we took our free passes and went). It was soooo good. Be sure to check it out on the cruise. I'll probably see it again on the boat. It's a great treasure hunt story and it's clean -- no sex, no blood and guts, no bad language. It's also very funny in parts. If you read and enjoyed the DaVinci code or something similar, you'd like this movie. It's a lot like the DaVinci Code, only without the religious overtones. Small kids might find it too intense in parts (it's PG), but older kids would probably enjoy it. Loved it, loved it, loved it!!

I fully understand, Popovich. I put a large box in the garage for cruise items and it has worked wonderfully, along with the other 27 spots that cruise items have appeared in (not to mention that my DS3 and DS4 have carried most of the things from the box, played with them, then left them sitting in various unaccessable spots in the house). So packing is going to be an interesting experience.

There was a thread on the main board about bring glow toys or "spinners" (whatever those are) to the Pirates of the Carribean night. Has anyone else heard of this? If so, then I guess I have to make another Party Store run! Just 8 days until we leave this nasty, rainy weather behind us!

Hi all. Our little one spiked a fever yesterday on top of his sinus infection. I have been to the pediatrician 3 times in the past two weeks!!! Fortunatly he is much better today and I continue to go back to my original plan which was ... lets all get sick now so we are well for this trip...."

Curt - We went to monsters Inc on ice and spent $20 on a toy that spins and lights up. I read a thread as well about these toys so I bought an Incredibles glo toy at Disney Store for about 12 dollars. You'd better buy them ahead of time, if you buy them on the ship for each child you may have to refinance your house

I am going to pack this weekend and can't wait because it will all seem very real then.

Hi Everyone,
I have a few additions and updates for you regarding us on the cruise . . .

We are now staying at the Port Orleans while in Disney prior to the cruise - checking in middle of the night on Monday night -

On the cruise, we are going to go on the Butterfly Farm Tour while in St. Maarten. Also, dh and i are celebrating our 10 year anniversary and two year Family Anniversary (it was in September)!

okay - the good news is we are leaving right after i get out of work on monday and dh and I are driving to get the girls at daycare to drive to Disney - just bought a two screen dvd portable for the car to make the trip. We are going to be in Disney from Tuesday til we meet everyone on the "Mickey Boat".

I am so excited - i have all our clothes out and am loving it - dh will pack after he returns from Miami this weekend - last NASCAR race for him until next year - YEA!!!!

Thank you, Kim. I'll make a "Party Store" run today to get some illuminated thingies of some sort. I'm sure one of the children will figure out a way to use them as a weapon or a method of irritating the others, but that's another story.

My dd's (ages 27 months and 34 months) are so excited to go on Mickey's boat - we even found Princess socks while at Big lots last night to get our over the door shoe holder thing!!

they tell everyone they are going on mickey's boat - pure strangers in the store, everyone! Maiya even tells everyone that there are no diapers on Mickey's boat except for Nonni (bedtime) - even her sister who I can't seem to potty train.

Does anyone else have a 2 year old we can have playdates with? the girls won't be able to go in the Oceaneer's area because they are too young - bummer - not because i want to get rid of them, but because it looks so fun for them!
