11/26/2011 EARLY Bananahead reunions cruise

Howdy all,
Just got back a bit ago.
Denise those are such sweet pictures:cloud9: Thankyou for sharing. She is really a precious little girl.

Hot day today. We went to the state fair in Salem and took a few photos to show my mom on the next visit. I will get them downloaded soon and share a couple of them with you. My grandson got 2nd place for a volcano cake. It was the ugliest cake i have ever seen:lmao: Wont tell him that. All black and purples colors and lumpy but it did look like a volcano and that was the idea.

Grandaughter got 3nd place for her hambuger cake:thumbsup2
Others looked alot better but those kids had decorator tips, my grandkids only had knives and spatulas, so I think they did a great job considering. They are proud and for good reason.

It got hot fast in the afternoon but it was a nice fair to walk around. Lots of neat things I didnt spend my money on:laughing:

Greg when we start looking at Hal again I will let you know. They have some great ports and so many on each cruise. Not much to do on board to interest me but worth it for the ports. Your off the ship almost everyday.

Sorry to hear everyone is sick again, just in time for school to start. That sounds suspicious accept Janel is sick too. Hope they all feel better soon.

Well I am tired and emotionally exhausted as usual tonight, I will be back in the morning to catch up with this thread.

Kathy

Morning:

Kathy, great about your grandkids.....but let me ask....whats a hamburger cake? Reg cake that looks like a hamburger or something else???

Actually, talkin cakes....my neighbor owns his own cake shop and really does have the best tasting cakes.... he is going to be on TLC tonite on the ultimate cake off....(he is the yellow team) so if anyone watches....I'm looking forward to seeing him.

Well its monday, I'm here at work and in misery....thankfully 4 days next week:woohoo:

Well have a good one all

later
denise:banana:

Hi Greg:

Just a couple of days....I got in late tuesday evening around 8pm and left Sunday afternoon..... (last week) heading back end of October....

They should have had the slides....I agree....I also think they should have slides on the family and adult pools (on the ship)......just cuz were growin up dosnt mean we have to act like adults!!!
Hoping they add this to their new ships.

Dang Denise!...I like the way you think! :thumbsup2

I was thinking just combine the kids and family pool into one bigger pool with a zero entry and couple of water slides and a spray park?!

Water slide at the adult pool would be awesome, but I doubt it would ever happen......the "quiet cove" wouldn't be as quiet. :rotfl2:

That looks great. Wonder what the cabanas will go for?

Hi Brantley!

A Cast Member at WDW told me last year that Disney charges what ever they feel they can get away with......you can bet the cabana's won't be cheap!

Good morning all,

Denise it is a regular cake that she cut and frosted to look like a hamburger. There is a different layer for the burger, buns, cheese, tomato etc.. Then frosted in the different colors.
I saw the cake show is coming on at 7 P.M. tonight. I will try to check it out and root for the yellow team.

AWESOME job on getting the top!!

Dont want Greg or Brantley do snag it:lmao:

For original bananaheads I talked with Pat.
She is going to drop by soon and say hello.
She & Steve are doing well, so are Esther and Steven and the grandkids.

Hi Brantley
Hi Greg
Hi Christine
Hi Denise
Hi Jeff

Hi anybody else who is lurking out there!!:goodvibes

Good morning Kathy. :wave2:

How's the weather in Oregon today? We got dumped on last night! I haven't seen it rain that hard here in years! This morning it feels really good though...about 60 degrees and the air smells fresh again! :thumbsup2

Howdy Greg,

we are heading for 80 today and close to that for 3 days then suppose to be upper 60's and rain all weekend. Not too good for people who are doing outdoor events over labor day.
It has been in the upper 80's and 90's lately.

Rain wont affect us because every weekend is the same thing right now. Heading in to visit mom and help get Gregs mom moved into my moms place soon. She is buying it the middle of the month. Greg needs to remodel the bathroom, add on a larger back porch and put a roof on before the end of September when she moves in. Roof doesnt leak but it is old so will replace just in case for her.
Plus I go to visit my mom while he works at her place. Then come back and he goes to work all week.
Gee whiz I get tired just thinking about it.:lmao:

It does smell good after a rain. But we get so much rain all winter I hate to see it start up again. It gets depressing after living in sunny Florida.
Can't wait for our november vacation to get here!!!

We will need it by then:thumbsup2

Kathy

Hi everyone

Just checking in. I am so excited about the cabanas. I am sure they will be impossible to get and very expensive but it a bunch of us go in together I am sure it will be worth it.

Although I wonder if they will give priority to people in suites :scratchin

Yes we are here indefinately now. Both moms need our help.
Family comes first. Later Greg may look for work in Florida again, but right now we are in a whirl wind, so will stay put for at least a year.

Denise,
glad you saved us from page 2:scared1:

That is no place for bananaheads. We are #1!!:banana:

Oh my goodness!....two winters in an RV? I might feel sorry for you now?!

Maybe you'd better tell Greg's mom your moving in with her for the winter?! :lmao:

When we we're in Orlando a few weeks ago I could see there were quite a few construction projects going on around the city....things must be turning around there. :confused3

Good morning nanaheads,

cold this morning, but it wont last long. Soon to be 80 again. It even rained a bit last night.

Well here is a photo of the grandkids cakes.
They are completely edible. But i don't think anyone would want to eat the volcano cake.
it doest look appetizing,:sad2: although it does look like a volcano which is what it was suppose to look like.

Oregon is famous for Hermiston watermelons.
So i had to pose with one, although standing up straight again was tricky:lmao:

these are always a favorite with me. So cute when they are little, ugly when they grow up.

They Had a group of miniature horses this year. They were next to some Clydsdales in an arena. Boy what a difference in size.
My dog Pixie was as big as these horses in height. I am sure horses weigh a bit more than her.

Hope everyone is having a good day today.
Greg has a late meeting tonight and Peter has left to go visit with friends for a few days. So its just me and the pups:goodvibes Way too quiet around here today.

So I will be lurking more than usual today.
Lets hear some good gossip to help me pass the time;)

Kathy

Kathy:

They did a great job on the cakes......believe me, I'm not a baker so I know that if I tried making thoes, the hamberger cake would look like the volcano cake...:lmao: so how did they taste?

have a good day all
