Brandie,
sometimes sleep is the best things. Perhaps after a good nap she will feel like eating some soup.pixiedust:

Kathy

She slept for a good 3 hours, then scarfed down fruit gummies and a bag of goldfish, along with a large glass of blue juice. Huber came home with dinner, and she ate a bunch of roasted chicken, cornbread, and veggies. I'm thinking she's feeling a bit better, even if the fever isn't relenting. *sigh* Another day home with mommy tomorrow. :scared:

Thanks for the pixie dust.

Brandie

A woman has 7 children, half of them are boys. How can this be possible?

She has 4 daughters, 3 sons, plus 1 husband. Since husbands are as much work to take care of as kids, he counts as one of her boys, so that makes 4 boys and 4 girls! :thumbsup2

Poor Fiona, but with all she ate, it sounds like she's on the mend and might just feel all better by morning. pixiedust:

JEEPERS CREEPERS! Whenever I show up, everybody disappears. :sad1:

Kathy, what's with the whip? Are you going to virtually harass us now? :) :faint: :faint:

Yep, I figured you guys needed a reminder to keep up the posting, so I brought out the whip as a reminder!! I have other Whips that are even meaner looking, so you'd better keep posting!!!:rotfl2:

Holly,
I love your answer!! The truth could be the right answer:lmao:

well we were in the mid 30's this morning. Luckily it will be close to 70 today now that the sun is coming up.
I need to walk Minnie then head to the grocery store for a few things.

Brandie, hope Fiona is feeling better today!!:flower3:

Kathy

Sorry I've been among the missing. I'm sick and Bruce broke his ankle walking from the bus to the hotel on a ski trip. He'll be in a cast 6 weeks. Kathy, i'm sure glad you and Brandie are keeping the home fires buring, otherwise we'd be on page 20. Hope your little one feels better soon.

Thanks for all the good wishes. Stinker is now down to a 99+ degree fever and is bouncing off the walls. She's reverted to not eating much, but I wonder if she just doesn't eat much breakfast--unless it is MOMMMMMY's breakfast. I had to switch bowls with her this morning and give her my oatmeal and take hers. This is a running thing at my house; mommy's food is better ALWAYS than what she has. :confused3 Guess I don't need those calories! ;) Anyone else get reminded of baby animals eating -exactly- like mommy animals? :scratchin I keep thinking of bovines learning what to eat from their mothers. So flattering to my daughter, huh? *wince*

Well, I have hope the Benadryll will knock her out and she'll get another good nap while I'm on my conference calls. *crossing my fingers and hoping* I know, such a dreamer.

Holly, I think your riddle answer is correct. Huber disagrees with us. ;)

Great answer, but not the right one.:rotfl:

Shell,
when are you going to give the correct answer??

Linda,
that is terrible that you are both down and out at the same time:sad1:

Here is some pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: and a BIG :grouphug: and some more pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: and one more :grouphug: for both of you to get better soon!!:flower3:

Brandie,
it sounds like your DD is a lot better.princess:

to get tickets for the Big East Tournament. Thank you. It worked. I actually was able to secure 2 sets of tickets at face value and help out a friend who needed some. Now my team (U of Pittsburgh) needs a bit of that dust as they haven't been playing well as of late after a fantastic season. Need to get it back together for the 2 tournaments.

On the homefront, Emily is down for the count with 2 ear infections and a fever. Docs keep saying that she should "grow out of this" soon but soon doesn't come. Poor little thing is now able to articulate it too and that makes it even sadder. Mina- "Does your ear hurt?" "Two hurt"

Cold here again and snow coming over night. Hope it doesn't mess up my drive to the airport tomorrow AM to get to NY for a week of hoops.

Take good care all my DIS friends.

Jeff, we are staying at Fort Wilderness this trip.

Shell, help my brain hurts give me the answer PLEASEEEEEEEEE

Geez, didn't take too much to get that effect, did it? :rotfl2:

Q:A woman has 7 children, half of them are boys. How can this be possible?

A: ALL the children are boys, so 1/2 half are boys and so is the other half.

Jeff, fruit chewies made a difference for Fiona. The Physician's assistant suggested this for her. Evidently, they helped her Eustachian tubes open up enough to drain. It's been twice now we've given her fruit chewies with the Motrin/Tylenol/Benadryll meds and the fever starts going down in hours. With just the Motrin/Tylenol/Benadryll or Zyrtec regimen, we had several days before her fevers went down. Hey, what could it hurt (beyond your pocketbook--Fiona only eats the yellow fruit chewies and makes me eat the others, so we went through a bunch of packets!)

Hope that helps your little one! I spent yesterday glued to Fiona while she felt miserable.

Brandie

ok now that Shell's joke is solved, here is one my little grandkids like, Let's see if the grown ups are smart enough to get it. No fair asking your little kids!

What do little ghosts drink??

Brandie - Thanks for the tip. As you say, what could it hurt..do you mean like starburst? If so she loves those so why not give it a shot. Doc has been close to wanting to put in tubes but then backs off - part of me wants her to to just help the little one not go through this all the time..but then the dad in me takes over and says...that's like surgery...no need to do that to my princess. :-)

You say Fiona was glued to you...that's so funny. Emmy says "I stick to you daddy" And she did this afternoon. I love having my own biz and working from home. The time with the kids is just so good for them AND for me. My mood is generally much better than when I worked in the evil corporate world.
