Maybe this one will be better?? Although I doubt it:lmao:

A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50." The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less. In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?

Hi everyone ... I'm finally home from Dallas. It was absolutely the worst trip ever ... my first -- and LAST EVER -- on Northwest airline. They are HORRIBLE, changed my flights, then cancelled 2 of them, all flights were late ... originally I was supposed to land in Akron yesterday at 6:00pm ... ended up in Cleveland at 11:45 pm (and that flight -- a 24 minute flight from Detroit to Cleveland -- was 1-1/2 hours late). Oh, I was LIVID :furious: ... and I tore the head off of some poor ticket agent that got the bulk of my rath (I know what you're all thinking: Shell? Get mad? But she seems so timid! Yeah, right!). How can an airline possibly stay in business when:

a) they don't have enough crew to fly the friggin' planes (this happened twice that we had to wait for a pilot or an entire crew to show up)

b) they have no regard whatsoever for this thing called a SCHEDULE with advertised departure and arrival times

c) they obviously lack training on the ground for the crew on the tarmack, who contributed twice to us sitting on the plane and waiting to push back or deplane.

My luggage is still MIA. Apparently, it landed in Akron this morning at 11:30, but lord knows where it is.

Jeff, I've come up with a new slogan for Northwest Airlines ... NWA: You're On Our Time. Live With It. How do you like it?

OK, that felt better. So anyway ... that was my trip! In the words of Howard Jones ... things can only get better!

Hey you have to spend money to save money...right.
Um Christine? I think that's, you have to spend money to MAKE money :rotfl:

Shell,
it is good to have you back,:goodvibes
well now that you've gotton ride of all your hostilities you can resume being your sweet lovable self:rotfl2:

Kathy

Good morning,
well the sun is peaking out this morning after raining all day yesterday.
we need the rain, but it is nice to see the sun too.

Pretty quiet weekend here, Greg and Peter went to see 23 at the theater while I did some shopping. Dont waste you time on the show, at least my guys said it wasnt any good.:sad2:

I dont think we are doing anything today, but not sure yet.

hope everyone is having a good weekend.:thumbsup2

Please drop by and say hello today to help us stay off page 2!!!:woohoo:

Kathy

Well my luggage finally made its way home ... at 11:20 pm:mad: ! Yes, it got to Akron at 11:30 am, and made it to my house 12 hours later. Mind you, it's a 20 minute drive from my house to the airport! So I'm going to assume that they just propped it up on its rollers and pushed, and that's what took so long :sad2:

Will check back in later.

Shell,
just be thankful you got it at all and only 12 hours.:thumbsup2

I had my suitcase lost by Amtrak.
I got off in Kissimme coming back from DC and my suitcase went on to Miami, them back to DC, then back to Miami again, then fiinally they remembered to drop it off when it passed back through Kissimme. I believe it was 3 days before I got it!!!
Each time it went back and forth it did stop at Kissmmee, they just didnt put my suitcase off the train:sad2:
I called twice a day and showed up in person twice to get it or it would probably still be on the train 3 years later!!!:lmao:

Kathy

Hey all! You're right KAthy, our family has been quite silent, for we have been sick... twice! As I write this, my mother and I are coughing like mad, and my father is too sick to get out of bed.

This one is worse than the one prior to it-my temperature was 103.3 friday night!!! Now it's 97 point something, so I'm better, can't say the same for everyone else though. My sister, God bless her, hasn't been ill yet for either of the waves. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Talk to you all later!

Here is a big :grouphug: for all of you!!! and some :

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Just got back from the Bass Pro Shop in Orlando. This is a huge place with all kinds of sporting and hunting supplies. They probably have 30 fishing boats.
There is a huge fireplace and a large waterfall that goes into an aquarium with BIG bass in it.
It has to be one of the largest single stores I have ever been in! Our son wanted us to see it so we went with him. If you like stuffed game animals you would love this place they are everywhere!!
Bear, tiger, fox all manor of deer, moose ,antelopes, racoon, turkeys and all kinds of fish. Just everything you can think of was on the walls or between different areas of the store. A person could stay all day and not see everything.
It is a mans store, but I did find it interesting.

That was my day, now i have to go to the store for a couple of things and I'll be all done.

Kathy:upsidedow
