Wow Kathy that's really cool. I am sure people will be wearing hats and gloves today. I love cool mornings.

That's so funny about Minnie. I'm sure Minnie will get used to it. We are going to take Stitch up to the mountains this winter it should be funny to see how he reacts to snow.

I am a little worried about my husband right now. He is have problems with closing his right eye and the corner of his mouth isn't moving. It sounds like Bell's Palsy, which I have had twice, but I am worried it might be something worse. He is on his way to the doctor's office right now. I think I am going to meet him there so I can hear what the Dr. tells him. You know men they never listen. I'll check in later.

Yep he has Bell's Palsy. At least it's not something worse and since I have had it twice we know what to expect. He should be OK by the time we go to Hawaii. He will be in a lot of pain for the next few weeks . He will also be drooling a lot and has to wear an eye patch so he'll look like a . He is at work now and don't feel too bad. He is going to start prednisone today so that should help him with the pain.

So glad to hear that it's not any worse than it is. That is bad enough to deal with I'm sure. At least you can understand what he is going through.We both have a major physical problem too and we just give each other support and we manage to get through the tough times, just like you two will.

Well we are headed for another cool evening. I have the window open and it's only 60 outside but it feels so good to have some cooler weather after all the extreme heat.

I waited up for my husband last night. He's doing pretty good. It seems to be a mild case. He's not in too much pain. He is a workaholic but I am making him take some time off to rest. Now he is really looking forward to getting some rest in Hawaii. I might have to surprise him with a quick Disney Cruise since it seems he is under a lot of stress. I have some investigating to do today.

Not much else going on here. Weather has been great, starting to really get into the holiday season. Think we are going to do some Chirstmas shopping this weekend. I try to be finished by Thanksgiving.

Hey where did everyone go? I can't believe how many people we lost. I hope everyone it Ok and still cruising with us. Ok gotta got price some cruises now. I'll check in later.

Hey if you do a dcl cruise, will it be a shorter one on the Wonder or the longer one on the Magic??
We are cruising on the Magic on 11/25 Eastern and would love to have you join us. we have a great group of disers coming along, they are a crazy group, really funny people.

My husband use to we a workaholic too, until I became critically ill and then we both realized that there were much more important things than working 24/7 in life. Now I have been very ill several times and we have changed our whole outlook on life. He works hard when he is at work, but when he comes home, work does NOT come with him. He works a 5 day work week like everyone else. It is so nice that way!!

well things are pretty quiet here again today. I am watching old Frankenstein movies from the 1940's today. I cant believe those movies use to scare me to death when I was a kids!! Now they are just funny.

I dont know if your interested but someone who just got off the magic wrote me and said it is now NO smoking in all the clubs and the cove cafe now.
I am a non smoker, so for me this is very good news. Just thought I would pass it along. I will check it out for sure next month when we cruise.

well our cold spell is over already, it is suppose to get 80 today. But 80 is ok unless it gets humid too.

Not suppose to be much happening here today. There are 3 craft shows this weekend. I hope to go to one of them, just not sure which one to go to.
We may have some rain this weekend, hope it doesnt ruin the craft sales.

I still need to find a pair of shorts for next months cruise.

Thanks for the info on smoking. I wish they would make the balconies non-smoking, at least on half the ship. I was lucky the last time and no one was smoking but there is always a chance that someone will be out there smoking and you won't have the full use of your balcony . I have heard other cruiselines make one side for smokers and the other side for non-smokers.

Kathy, I keep telling my husband that life is more important than making money but he loves working at his pizza place. At least he has the weekend off with me now. When he first started, he had off Sunday afternoon and that was it. Even when he has days off he is always thinking about work. I guess that just comes with owning a business; never having anytime off. That's way I loved the Cruise last year, NO CELL PHONES

I looked at some pricing on the 3 and 4 day cruises. It's just too expensive. I guess we will just have to go to Disneyland and Laguna Beach. I will also look at going to WDW just in case they have something we could afford. The problem is the airfare. We don't have too many choices.

I remember when my husband had his own business for 20 years, all the long hours and lots of weekends too. but when your the owner, youhave to make sure everything gets done.
I wasnt quite that bad when I owned my pizza shop. We were open 7 days a week, but my adult son relieved me so I had time off. Plus I didnt open until 3 p.m. which really helped.

i waited from 5 to 6:30 to watch the wonder go by 2 palm cam, but it never went by. Maybe they have a late start for some reason.

morning all,
well the past 3 days we have set records for low temperatures, now today we are suppose to set a record for the high for this time of the year. 86 today.
Guess that's Florida for ya, freeze one day, roast the next!!!

I will be walking Minnie early today. I dont like the hot heat.
suppose to be cold again by Sunday. it just cant seem to make up it's mind.


Well as usual we have no definate plans for the weekend. However there are 3 big once a year craft shows this weekend and I would love to go to at least one of them. Plus Minnie needs to go in and get a bath. I would like to go to WDW on one day too, perhaps meet our son there for a visit.

But today will just be housework so I wont have to do much over the weekend. I like to take 2 days off just like DH does. For years with raising kids there were NO days off, just way to much to do. So now I try to relax for the most part on the weekends. Do something fun.

well we got our rain all night long.

Suppose to clear off this morning. All these weeks I have wanted the rain because we need it, but the one weekend I dont want it, we get it!!!

we have 2 BIG outdoor craft sales today that are once a year sales. I want to go to at least one of them for a little bit, but if its pouring rain they will be cancelled.

well first we need to take Minnie in and give her a bath at Petco, and her walk, then we will see if the rain is gone.

morning all,
hope you remembered to set your clocks back an hour last night.

chilly here this morning, only mid 40's, suppose to get to 72 today which will be nice this afternoon.

I bought stuff to make door signs for next months cruise so will give that some planning and thoughts today, hope to make them next week.

I think all of you must of been very busy this weekend since I am the only one posting all weekend?? So i expect some letters telling me all about what you are doing.

Just checking in. I have been busy all weekend. Just getting some stuff done before we go to Hawaii. I actually had to work from home yesterday because I was so busy on Friday I didn't finish everything I had to do. At least I didn't have to go into the office . Just got my travel docs, not as exciting as DCL ones but still exciting. I have been pre-packed for a few weeks now so I just need to iron and fold everything nice and I will be ready. I'll do that next weekend. We are all starting to get really excited, can't wait for it to be here. Plus when we get back it will be that much closer to the cruise.

I think we are going to take a 4 night cruise out of LA in May. I have been looking for something to do and this is something we have never done before plus we will get to stop at DL on the way back. We are a little worried about not going on DCL but they aren't out here yet so we don't really have much of a choice. It's only 4 days so if we don't like it, it won't be too bad.

Well I have to do some work for the pizza place now. I'll try to check in tomorrow.

Just curious, what cruise line will you be crusing with in May. I am always curious about other lines. we are probably going to try a different line within the next 2 yearas too. I want something to compare to DCL.

I didnt even know who he was, so I asked and got told right fast, now several other celebrities have posted there too.
One american idol person, Kellie Pickler even posted on my thread about bad entertainment changes on the Wonder. But her posts sound like they were written by a little kid??
Basically it is saying there is a big surprize going to be announced soon on the dis boards. so far Ty, Kellie Pickler, Oprah, Ellen DeGeneress, Paula Abdul, Randy(american idol) and someone else have posted onthat thread. Oh and the Tag fairy has posted too, she never does that, she just tags people, so maybe this is a true post, not a hoax.
I think it is something to do with Disneys Year of a Million Dreams they are celebrating this year.
What do you guys think??? I am not impressed with the celebrities that have posted, with Disneys money I would of expected better!! Although not sure who!!
I never heard of a few of these people. Guess I'd better watch more TV huh??

Kathy were is the post? I haven't seen it but I haven't really had to much time to look at the boards lately.

We will be sailing on RCCL. We are a little nervous but we did book it today. I am trying to do as much research as possible on it but there just isn't as much info out there as there is for DCL. Oh well, I have plenty of time to find out everything I can. We will also be able to go to DL after the cruise since it gets back on Friday. Why waste an extra weekend right?

DH is doing OK. He gets very tired by the end of the day. He is done taking his prednisone and he can feel a difference. He is in a little more pain. If it keeps up, he will have to do another round of medicine.

Boy I just found out another cutback that DCL has done recently.
No steel drum band. I had heard rumors of this, but now it has been confirmed!!!!

I love the caribbean music playing around the pools, it really adds so much to the afternoon. It just sets the mood for the entire cruise, in my opinion.
They played on CC in May when we went at the gazebo which was really nice, but no more. Now 2 memebers of the house band play and sing, but it's not caribbean style music.
On the Magic they have one band doing it all. 2 members play in the Promenade lounge, and in Parrot Cay, on CC and in the club.
That is too much of one band iof you ask me.

I have read several trip reports lately saying NTWine is a good band but when 2 sang in the Promenade lounge they were terrible!! not only was the singer reading the lyrics it sounded like he had NEVER sang the song before.
Most just left the lounge.

Hundreds have written to DCL to complain about that stuff and NO live band on the Wonder anymore, just a DJ. But now there is a thread where they are complaining about DCL not inforcing the rules they have, which I agree
with. I have seen entire rows of seats being saved, smoking in non smoking places, people not giving the proper seats to the handicap people in the back of the theater etc....

I guess people are finally ready to speak up and get the MAGIC back as it use to be on board the ships.

I have written my share of letters too, now I will write gain and ask about the steel band. Just thought I would share all thia with you guys in hopes you will take 5 minutes and write to DCL too. Maybe we can get some possitive changes before our cruise next year.
DCL does listen to their guests, expecially when so many are writing right nw.
This is the time to voice your opinions if you want any changes to happen.

Sorry to sound so negative, I didnt mean to. The reason I am upset and writing is because I LOVE~DCL and I want my cruises to be just as magical as they use to be!!! I truly believe with enough letters we can get back what they have taken away.

Well today is Halloween!! BOO !!! to all of you!!

I sure hope we get a lot of trick or treaters tonight.
Last year where we lived we got 3 kids. But here we live in a new sub division with around 100 kids I believe. So I am hoping for a good amount of kids this year.
I love watching all the kids in their costumes. They are all so cute!!!

Lots of disney costumes here. Just have to keep Minnie in the other room if she barks. I dont want any kids getting scared by hearing a loud bark.

Do you guys get many trick or treaters at your house??
we are suppose to be 85 today, so the kids will have good weather. It should still be in the low 70's when the kids are out.

well I need to go to the store and the bank so i'd better finish my housework and get cleaned up.
