Kathy, I can't believe they are taking things away. Sometimes I think they try to save money but don't take into consideration how it will effect the guests. With the new Freedom of the Seas being a bigger and better ship you would think they would want to do more to keep their guests happy. There is only so much you can take away before people will just stop sailing with them. Steel Drum music is one of the highlights of sitting my the pool.

I have found the Ty thread. I don't really think it is them. I am sure disney got permission to use their names but I really don't think Ty is spending his days on these boards. I wonder what they will be doing though?

Starting to get really excited about our Vacation. Kathy it looks like it will be all you keeping us bumped up when I am away but I will return the favor when you go on your cruise. Wish I was going with you.

Hi, well i had 87 kids tonight which was great. I love seeing all the kids.
I wore my pirate mickey ears while giving out candy. The kids seemed to enjoy it. Minnie was so good, she didnt even bark once!!! She was confused an stared a lot, bu that was it.

I think Kay will be around to help me keep things bumped up while your gone. I am surprized she hasnt posted for a few days. Hope she isnt ill??

I was surprized about the steel band too. I wrote a Nasty letter today which is afirst for me. I 've written many letters in my life but this was the first nasty one.

wellit is past my bedtime, so I am ready to go to bed.
I will keep you informed if I find out anyhting else,

kathy

Hi y'all,
well today is suppose to be low 80's but I am staying home today and wrap the presents I have bought so far for Christmas. I dont like to do all of them at once!!
I would also like to make a :stir: few cookies today sometime, and work on my door signs. I only have 24 days til I cruise!!! I gotta get busy!!!

Kathy

have a great day everyone :goodvibes

Morning everyone, :sunny:
well I did get all my gifts wrapped that I have bought so far, but I didnt get my cookies made. :guilty: Maybe today I will be able to get them made.

Today I need to experiment with my door signs for my upcoming cruise.
I did get the :laundy: started early (5:00 a.m.), so that is about done too.

We are foggy today, 0 visibility this morning. I am glad DH doesnt leave for work today for an hour and a half, maybe it will raise up some by then. He has a lot of driving to do today. :car:

Well I will check back later to see if anybody else is around here today. :chat:

Sure wish some of you who havnt posted in weeks would stop by and say Hello!!! :wave2: We miss you. :sad2:
Kathy

Good Morning,

Wow Kathy that's a lot of kids. I only had 20 but that is 2000% more than I had the year before :rotfl: I actually ran out of candy and had to run to the store to get more. They do so much for the kids around here most of them don't need to go trick or treating.

Having beautiful weather here. It's been a little cold in the morning lower 60's and Mid 70's in the afternoon. Just perfect. I had lunch outside yesterday and it was great.

I get my Christmas shopping done early but I don't wrap anything until after my tree is up. I usually put on the Little Mermaid and wrap everything all at once. It's my little ritual every year.

Getting out of work early today to go bowling with my office. Everyone's looking forward to a little break because we all work so hard. I'll try to check in tonight.

TTFN :surfweb:

Hi,
hey, do you like to bowl??
I loved it, but havnt tried since having my medical problems. I should try it again one of these days, as long as I can take my time, it should be ok.
My youngest DS started bowling at age 7 and I got him in a kids league which he stayed in until he was 17 when we moved here. He has boxes of trophies and plaques and badges, many are first place. :thumbsup2
2 weeks ago he found a small local alley close by and joined a league there. He hadnt bowled in almost 3 years but still had 3 good games, then last week he came away with a 220 average!! I could hardly believe it.
Of course now he is 24 years old and much stronger and more patient about aiming.
Do you bowl often or enough to have an average? My best was a 135 average about 30 years ago, the last few times I bowled I barely broke 100, but I had lots of fun trying. :rolleyes1

Hope you have fun tonight!!

Kay, where are you??? :confused3
We miss ya, :guilty:
Kathy

morning to all,
just bumping us up off page 2.
It is suppose to only be 72 today and quite windy. That sounds good to me.

The movie Santa Clause 3 the Escape Clause is opening today. I want to see it but we are going to wait until we get on the ship. I also saw previews for a Danny Devito movie called Deck the Halls which looks pretty funny. if will come out later in the month. I am so glad, it is so hard to find a good movie this year. Only been a few.

well I am off to start up the dishwasher and do some shopping then back by lunch, I hope!!

Kathy

I'm not really into bowling. It's fun but I don't like how competetive people get. We did have a good time and it was nice to get out of work early. However, it comes with a price will be very busy at work so have to go now. Check in later

TTFN :woohoo:

we are on page 2 again!!! AAwwww!!!

good morning,
we are cool, in the 60's but nice and sunny.
I am about to take Minnie for her walk, then off to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription and then a local church is having a craft sale which I thought I would stop by and take a look.
DH is puting in a new vanity, lighting, medicine cabinet and painting our 1/2 bath today. we are going to do that to all our bathrooms during the winter.

well time to walk Minnie,
hooe everyone is having a great weekend,

Kathy

Hi,
just got home from Magic kingdom.
It was great day there, but I was surprized to see so many people during off season. The weather was perfect all day.
I did see one Dsiney Cruise Line Bus full of happy cruisers headed for the Wonder. Wished I was going with them!!

After we left the park we went to the winter/summer wonderland miniature golf course by blizzard beach. DH beat me 51 to 44. Par was 56 so I did ok anyway. it was fun, especially when I noticed in the pond along side the course was an alligator sunning himself. He was a young gator, so I was wondering where mom and dad were??? I decided not to explore the bushes to find out!! Luckily I didnt loose my ball in that direction. I would NOT of retrieved it!!

well my tootsies are tired, so will sign off for now.

I hope eveyrone had a great weekend.
Lets have a few more posters here!!!!
kathy

Gosh Kathy I am so jealous, wish I could spend my weekends in WDW :cool1: sounds like you had a good time. Good idea about not looking for Mom and Dad :teeth:.

Haven't really done too much today. We got home about 1am so we have been pretty lazy today. Actually I just got up from a nap. I have to finish up packing today and make sure I have everything we need for the trip. It should be a crazy week. My Mom comes in on Friday so I took an extra day off of work to pick her up from the airport. I have so much running around to do that day I might actually be tired enough to sleep. We leave Saturday morning and have a long flight (6 hours :scared: ). Hopefully the weather will be nice. Right now thye are calling for rain the first few days we are there but I hope that will change, it usually does when the forecast is this far out. OK let me go start packing. Will change in this week

TTFN :dance3:

Hey, thought I'd say hello to my fellow cruisers, I'm getting exciting about the cruise, only 20 days now. This is my first post ever so I hope everyone will bare with me. I am momx4,grandmax4 husband so I have been reading these for quite a while. You are definitely a lively crowd. I am looking forward to meeting everyone at the meet. See ya soon, Greg

Hey guys, Greg meant to post on our other cruise thread for our upcoming cruise. You can save this post for a year from now when it would be appropiate

good night,
Kathy

Good morning,

hope you have a good visit with your mom. I hope to go to Oregon next spring and see mine.

I will be anxious to hear all about your trip when you retur.

I am beginning to worry about Kay because she posted so often and then all of a sudden she just stopped. I dont remember her saying she'd be gone for a trip, I hope she isnt ill.

well time to go , I'll check back soon,

Kathy

It's so weird when people stop posting, you hope everything is OK but you never know. pixiedust: Here's pixies for everyone who has stopped posting. I hope you are all OK.

Don't really feel like working today but I know I have too :guilty: I want to be in Hawaii already. I started taking airborne since my last two vacations I got sick. I hope it works. There's nothing worse than being sick on vacation. My husband is starting to get a little better. He is able to move his mouth a little bit. I am hoping by the time we get to Hawaii he will be better. The problem with Bell's Palsey is that it comes on fast but seems to take forever to go away.

Well gotta go.

TTFN :bounce:

Good morning,
well we are suppose to have soemeshowers today. I hope so we are so far below in our rainfall.I am still working on my last door sign for my upcoming cruise. Just cant quite get it the way I want it to be, but I will keep working at it today.

Hope everyone is well and you will have time to post soon, we miss ya, :guilty:
kathy

What do you think people would do if I put door signs on my room in Hawaii? They would think I was crazy

Weather here has been great. In the 80's, which is really warm for this time of year but who complaining. I haven't even changed out my summer clothes yet.

Here are my most recent pictures of Kelly Clarkson, she is getting so big I can't wait to get her only 2 more weeks:

Sooooooo cute!!! :cloud9:

I think you should call it little sweet pea!!!

Glad to hear your hubby is doing a little better, :thumbsup2 hopefully by your vacation he will be even better. I think you both really NEED this vacation!! :woohoo:

I think a door sign would be great!! Yes they would think you were

Kathy

Hi friends!!

Sorry I just sort of disappeared for a while there (actually I have just been going crazy with my scouts). I have been on 3 weekend campouts in the past 4 weekends!! And now we are almost finished with boothsales (one more this Friday) for Girl Scout nuts/candies. My girls want to go to Rawhide Ranch and ride horses for a long weekend. My Boy Scout has been trying to earn a Big Bear ski trip in January by selling greenery for Christmas ... geesh!! I am really proud of my crew working so hard for their goals but it has been taking up ALOT of time!! :sad2:

My girls spent nearly 4 weeks learning how to build fires, tie knots, lashing, compass and various other skills for a HUGE Cadette-O-Rama event in Long Beach. They had fun, did a great job and now ... finally ... it's all over!! :Pinkbounc

I also just gave my notice at work. :cool1: I was working part time (early morning hours) as office manager the past 14 months to help pay for my 3 kids to participate in a 4week biology internship program at a local Audobon Sanctuary. The ages were perfect as they only accept 10-13yr olds and this was the ONLY summer the three of them fit that age category, so they could all attend together. This on top of a Catalina Island summer Boy Scout camp and two girls in a CSI Girl Scout camp. This was the first summer we have ever done anything like this and it will probably be the last. It sure seemed to add up!! :confused3

Homeschooling my 6th/7th/8th graders and trying to keep up with household stuff like laundry and bills, while also keeping the schedule straight with scouts, sports, art classes and everything else is enough work for me!!

I have been thinking of the cruise and all of you ALOT, but I just did not have any time to post.

BUT ... now I am back :cheer2:

Have I missed much the past 4 weeks or so?!?!?

I am almost ready to start thinking about door signs, decorations, surprise baskets and costumes for events and photos. I keep waiting for the announcement that Alaska is on the books for 2008 (just my opinion/guess, but I did have 3 enlightening conversations with the Captain during the September Double Dip).

Anyhow, I plan to think about one cruise at a time!!

How is everyone? Anything fun and exciting going on with your families?

I look forward to hearing from you all!! :goodvibes
