Howdy,
well my internet was gone until just a few minutes ago!! I am so spoiled now with computers I hate it when things happen where I cant get on line for hours!!!

Kay glad you made ithome ok.

Christine, I'm glad the earthquake came before your trip!! It could really spoil your vacation if it happened when you were there.

No plans at the moment. I did all my grocery shopping this morning, plus took Minnie in to get her nails clipped and filed. She was NOT a happy doggie!!!!
It took 2 milk bones to get her forgiveness.

We are back to high humidity and 90 each day. suppose to cool off on Tuesday. We had thought about going to MGM studios this weekend, but I dont want to go it it gets to 90 and humid.
So we will wait and see what happens.

I bought the animated movie, "Over the Hedge" today. I saw it inthe theater and thought it was kind of cute. The grandkids will like it when they come to visit sometime too.

Kathy - Glad to hear you're back up and running Our kids enjoyed "Over the Hedge", so I bet your grandkids will too.

I've started my Christmas list. Last weekend, I bought my first gifts and I bought one on line today. This year, I decided to take a day off from work to get a lot of my shopping done. So, I'll do that on the 31st. I wanted to do it while the kids were in school and because last year I spent three hours trying to get home on Halloween. I totally missed the holiday. This year I'm not taking a chance.

Guess, I'd better get back to work.

I know most of what I am going to buy everyone, but most of it has to be mailed to Oregon and I try to get it sent by the middle of November so there is less chance of it getting lost. I want to be all done by our cruise, even for the people here so I can just look for stocking stuffers in December and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling I have to rush around to finish up.

Howdy,
Finally, I have my internet servie in the early morning. It has been down in the mornings all week.
we are going to break a record with the heat again today for this time of the year. 92 is the predicted temp, but with High humidity so it will feel like 98.

I HATE that high a temperatures. We are suppose to be done with that by October. Tuesday we are suppose to be cooling off again. I am staying in this afternoon. Only have one errand to do this morning , then I am in for the day!!!

Aniaml Kingdom had a baby giraffe born during the night. 6 foot tall at birth. They dont know if it's male or female yet. They dont approach them for a little while after birth, unless there is a problem.

Guess I'd better go, so I wont be out when it gets hot today.
I will check back around lunch.

TGIF!

It's been a long week and I'm ready for the weekend. Don't have many plans for the weekend. My dd has a birthday party on Sunday, but other than running errands I'm planning on enjoying my weekend at home.

Yea for the baby giraffe! 6 ft tall is amazing. I wonder how long it will be before the public will catch a glimpse.

Had someone come out and check our pool today. We have been having to add a lot of water this summer, it seemed way to much for normal evaporation. Sure enough it had 4 leaks they had to fix. Good thingit s still under warranty.
Minnie had a fit when she saw a man in a scuba suit in the pool. I had to lock her doggie door so she couldnt run out and bother him. She ran right into it!! She couldnt figure out why she couldnt get out!!

That was the extent of our day today.

Pretty quiet around here, oh our electricity did go out for about 90 minutes and boy it got hot in the house fast with NO air conditioner. WHEW!!!

I woke up this morning and it was after 9 a.m.! I can't remember the last time I slept in that long. Boy do I feel refreshed

In a bit we're off the run errands and maybe do some Christmas shopping.

I am sitting and watching Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein!!

Actually I like it, I always thought it was cute!!!

DH is mowing the lawn, then weed eating it, I finished up the washing and ironing. So now I will watch the movie!!

Evening all,

Thought I'd check in before I turn in.

Kathy, it sounds like you and your husband had a very productive day.

We had a beautiful fall day here. We spent the day at the outside outlet stores in Gettysburg, PA. I didn't get any Christmas shopping done, even though I tried really hard. I came really close to buying some more Dept. 56 for my collection but stayed strong.

Unfortunately while we were shopping, my dh was playing in a golf tournament and slid into a creek, slip on a rock and has sprained his knee. His knee is propped up on a pillow to help keep the swelling down. So, I think isntead of going to work tomorrow, he'll be resting his knee.

Well, I think I'm going to turn in.

Kay, hope DH's knee gets better soon. My DH has sprained his knee before too, he use to be a runner, he even did a few marathons.

well I gotta go, want to be there when the parks open because it will be hot in the afternoon, so we want to go in the morning. Not even sure which park we will go to yet.

we had a good day at Animal Kingdom today. It was quite hot and humid so some animals were keeping more into the bushes, but it was still alot of fun.
Now I have my feet up relaxing.

Kathy, how were the crowds today at AK? Did they make any mention of the baby giraffe while you were there?

My dh's knee is still sore and a little swollen but it's a bit better today. He was able to walk around on it today.

We went out to lunch, took my dd to a birthday party and then did a corn maze. We spent the evening watching our Redskins lose and are now ready to turn in for the evening. Where did the weekend go?

It looks like the weather is only going to reach 48 degrees tomorrow, so I'm not looking forward to going to work tomorrow morning. I really want to be on our cruise now

Good morning all,

Kay, so glad to hear that H's knee is getting better.

AK wasnt too bad for the first hour and then it really got crowded. we thought maybe something special was going on, but it wasnt.

I think a lot of people were there to try Everest. There is NO WAY I would ever get on that ride!!!! I am a coward!!! DH and DD and GD loved it.
I just hang in the gift shop until they are done.

AK gets crowded pretty fast because of the narrow walkways and they way they twist around the park. It wasnt laid out as nicely as the other 3 parks were.
No news of the baby giraffe. In fact we didnt see any giraffe's on the safari this time. Maybe they were hiding in the back trees due to the heat,but this was the first time we have not seen giraffe's there.We didnt go to Conservation station this time, but that is where they list the birth announcements with pictures and statistics, so I'm sure the baby giraffe was listed there.

well tonight we are suppose to get a cold front coming in. HOORAY!!!!
Highs around 68 to 75 for a couple of days and lowes 48 to 55.
Thursday we go back up to 80.We just finished 4 days of record highs, now we are expected to have 2 days of record lows.
Someone needs to tell mother nature it is almost the end of October!!

Kathy, I think someone told Mother Nature that it was the end of October here It's only going to be in the 40's today. Brrr...

Well, it's another workday here, so nothing too special going on right now.

My countdown to cruising hit 393 days left - yippee!

I told my dh that I wanted to have Thanksgiving (next year) at the 1900 Park Fair and he was in complete agreement. One thing settled....a thousand left (I love it!)

Sorry I didn't check in over the weekend. I was pretty busy on Saturday. My friend's daughter had homecoming so I was over her house helping out with her hair. She looked really cute. I can't believe how they go all out for homecoming. When I was in school it was no big deal. Now it's as big as the Prom.

Yesterday we didn't do too much, got Stitch groomed and added a little more to my fake tan so I don't burn in Hawaii. I also got a little more packing done and helped my Mom organize her packing. I made her write everything down otherwise she would just pack everything she owns and figure out what she was wearing when she got there . I know I am a little crazy when it comes to packing but I always know what I have packed and what I am going to wear each day. It also helps since we are so limited in the weight of our luggage on the plane. We are all starting to get really excited .

We are still having really nice weather here, in the 70's. Kay sorry it's so cold by you.

How do you find out what restuarants in WDW are doing something special for Thanksgiving? I looked at their web site and couldn't find anything.

Oh yea, I also was doing some research for a cruise in 2008. We were thinking about the Freedom of the Seas since I always hear how much more $$$ Disney is. Well just for the record, it's not. I compared the same room size and RCCL is more expensive plus you can only fit two people in their rooms so you have to get two rooms. So DCL it is in 2008. Now we just have to wait for the rates to come out.

The 08 rates are suppose to be out by 10/31 or at least that is what Disney told my DH last week when he called them, so it shouldnt be much longer.

well I am off to clean up and relax with some TV before bed.

mornin y'all,

well we broke records here last night,we are only 45 degrees outside.
So our cold front actually came this time. it felt so good to go out and get the newspaper this morning.
Poor Minnie, she was all curled up and her ears even felt cold!!! She sleeps inside but we didnt have our furnace turned on, just the air conditioner was set. So the house was kinda chilly this morning.
I put on long pants, which Minnie hasnt seen on me. She went crazy sniffing my jeans and bouncing all over the place. Thank goodness she has settled down now.
I am curious to see how she reacts to the cold temperatures when we go for our walk, she may turn around and come right back into the house??

I have no real plans for today, maybe get a prescription refilled. I need to clean the bathrooms, but I have to force myself to do that, not my favorite thing to do!!!

well time to get busy and find some trouble to get into!!!
